My comment here isn’t about Peter Obi but a humble plea to Northern elites.
Please my Arewa elites you need to constitute a commission as a matter of urgency to reduce or eradicate poverty in the North, just look at the living conditions of this family, so are many living in kano and other northern states .
We need free technical schools to enable the youths acquire certain skills that are more relevant in today’s Nigeria .
I’m a southerner, I work with northerners and I can confirm the youths are very hardworking and committed to whatever they put their minds to , though not quite educated, they are very resourceful.
God bless Arewa ! God bless Nigeria ! |

Nice development but why is freight cost from Onne port to major ports around the world much higher than Apapa and Tincan ports ? This alone is killing business in that port, sometimes it’s just $700 at Apapa port but $2,000 at Onne port , it’s logical to direct all shipments to Apapa given the cheaper freights.
I hope the Nigeria shipper council and related agencies can look into this . |

Aleem26: Get a copy of OBL from your colleague and edit it to your commodity as he won’t confirm it just to have him Boss Op I will advise you don’t do this as every BL has a number and this can be verified on some websites; the shipper , the commodity, even the fob price can be displayed, your prospect may see you as being fraudulent and you know what that means. My suggestion will be to work with an existing exporter who already has confirmed and past BLs, you can have the exporter ship on your behalf in this case you have your company name in the Shipper’s section, for example, if your company is A and that of existing exporter is B , then on the shipper’s section of the BL you will have shipper company B “on behalf or on account of company A” This being your first shipment you can always use it as your reference for future prospects. Or you can bear it all open and tell the prospect you haven’t made any shipments yet but you’re assuring him/her of utmost professionalism in your transaction . I’m sure one of these will work . As per getting clients , yes it’s the hardest part especially coming from Nigeria . You explore social media , website, trade shows to get leads . All the best . |

Looks good , what’s the size and how much did it cost you? Moneyboyz: Early last year I was motivated to start a beer distribution business, I did my research bought the land and constructed the building.
Unfortunately for me, I didn't know someone is selling just few blocks to where I acquired the land. Although the competitor was a small scale but I do not want to compete because there is also a coke/pepsi depot right next to it.
I've decided to go into manufacturing but I'm not sure what I could do. I need ideas and possible the required capital that would start it.
Please no pure water factory suggestions.

Beremx: 25-yr-old Ubulu Uku King Returns Home After Years studying Abroad amidst jubilation

Politics › Re: Port Harcourt Refinery To Be Completed December, Says FG by ogene70: 7:56am On Aug 26, 2023 |
nairalanda1: It doesn't mean fuel would be cheap
Because there is no subsidy anymore, the NNPC would have to search for money for repairs and maintenance of the refineries. And at the end of the day, all that costs money, and all that would be added to the cost paid by end consumers.
The potential good news is that the refineries would work this time. No subsidy, no free money. Anyone doing sabotage is affecting NNPC's ability to make profits, and by extension, their salaries. Also, it would be cheaper to buy in Nigeria...than it would be importing from abroad with scarce forex.
But fuel would, as the experts say, cost just N70 less than the current price. It won't suddenly drop to N200 or below The biggest good news is that it will reduce the pressure on Fx demand thereby strengthening our Naira . Also the manufacturers can have better access to Fx to import raw materials to run their factories and this will in turn create more jobs and also increase our GDP. Additionally , the supply chain sector will experience significant boom as a result of increased manufacturing activities. There are many positive effects this can have on the economy generally if properly and sincerely pursued. May God help Nigeria. |
Politics › Re: Naira Weakens To N773.4/$ At I&E Window, N905/$ At Parallel Market by ogene70: 9:47am On Aug 24, 2023 |
DeLaRue: Government doesn't control black market price. It is up to the buyer and seller to deal at whatever price suits them.
The government only has direct influence on the I & E window which is around N780. Big companies and many others who have legitimate reasons can buy dollars from banks.
Many of those desperately buying at any price on the black market are using hundreds of billions stolen under Mr Buhari's government. They can't come out openly to buy through official channels.
If they like, they should push the black market rate to N1500, it is up to them.
The government can only focus on the I & E market. I doubt you are into International business or manufacturing to have said this . Do you know the amount of Fx request on the official queue of many commercial banks that CBN hasn’t been able to fulfill? Manufacturers and importers wait weeks and months to get Fx via the official window and this is killing businesses, to avoid such delays, they resort to the black market and I don’t blame them for doing so because whether they are able to source their raw materials or not , fixed costs such as salaries, rent , interest rates, etc ,must be paid , so it’s still their losses to wait perpetually for CBN . |

Felixamos: Very senseless talk from a senseless analyst. Why didn't he ask Wike to leave the time Atiku left? so we would have seen if there would still be PDP as a national party in 2023.
I feel irritated when I see people who can't even win a ward in their constituency, coming out to say nonsense against Wike. A man who stood with audacity and conquered federal might when it tried to meddle in Rivers politics! A man who has the loudest opposition voice amongst Southern politicians! A man who has made the whole of Nigeria to regard the voice of the south especially Rivers State! If we had 7 of Wike in the south, would those fulanis not treat the south as Royalty?
Then one idiot who is not worth to be in the room where men are mentioned, would come out and start spewing trash against Wike!
Ungreatful Bush pig! Funny enough , he just left APC to PDP few weeks back , you can imagine these set of people. |

One of them is my friend till tomorrow, I call him for a sit out whenever I'm in Ikare, Ondo state.
Some of them could be bad but whole lot are still very compassionate.
If you are condescending towards them I see no reason they will treat you with respect, moreso, no matter how much right you've got don't take laws into your hands .
