PhonesRe: Is There A Way I Can Block A Particular Number On My Phone by ogoplus: 3:35pm On Jun 15, 2013

Overview
The following article explains how create an IT policy on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server in order to block incoming calls from a specific phone number from reaching a BlackBerry smartphone. You can apply this IT policy to a single smartphone or multiple smartphones.

Resolution
To block incoming calls to a BlackBerry smartphone:

1.Create a new IT policy.
2.Edit the Firewall policy group.
3.Select Restrict Incoming Cellular Calls.
4.Enter the number you want to block.
For example:

+1##########r;

Note: An r and a semicolon must occur at the end of the phone number, or the IT policy will allow the phone number listed and block the rest of the phone numbers from calling.

Additional Information
If you are unable to block incoming calls from a phone number using an IT policy, we recommend that you contact the wireless service provider and request that they block incoming calls from the phone number.

PoliticsRe: Why NAMA Diverted Wamakko’s Aircraft by ogoplus: 9:16am On Jun 14, 2013
I watch the whole thing live on NTA (not because I like NTA that much....) you need to see how people were allowed to spread themselves all-over the airport tarmac. It was so annoying.

(I did not see anyone breaking the fence sha).

NAMA's intervention (diverting the flight) was the right thing to do.

But the learning point is that NAMA and the Governor's aides should put a proper crowd-control system in place next time.

You don't allow people into the tarmac area and then stay chasing them away just as the plane is about
to land.

Yes. I am not a car dealer but you can be sure to get buyers for cars (and indeed all kinds of vehicles) provided your prices are competitive.

You must also put a system in place on how buyers can pay and collect their vehicles in Nigeria.

Goodluck.

FamilyRe: DO YOU KNOW , You Are Useless! Says Father Inlaw To Son-inlaw by ogoplus: 11:24am On Jun 06, 2013
It depends oh.

I don't know all the details but sha:-

If the Father-In-Law is from the SW, 2 things are involved:

1. May be the father-in-law in question is just generally an abusive person.

2. He is just expressing his disappointment in the guy for whatever reason(in this case for not showing-up as promised).
_in the SW elderly people would say "SHO RI PE O WULO" it not necessarily an insult its just a way of expressing ones displeasure.

Besides next time if your friend promises to see anyone(his father-in-inlaw inclusive), I think it would be just nice of him to call or send a message to the party concerned if he can't make it for any reason.

PoliticsRe: Ayobo/ipaja Road Under Construction: Is Fashola Working Or Not? by ogoplus:
One_Naira: For SW it is. Enugu, AkwaIbom, Rivers, Imo and other governors are building and fixing roads. it seems to be the new thing or what Nigerian governors view as development cause even delta governor have done some in asaba, warri, ogwashi, etc. The only thing is road building seem like a big deal to SW so they disturb people. you'll get use to it eventually.
This particular road has been a source anguish for the residents of the area for years.

Yes. I hope we all get used to it. A time will come when we not need to roll out drums for celebrations when a road is been commissioned.

I HOPE NAIJA GET THERE SOON.

Christianity EtcRe: Prophet T O Obadare Is Dead by ogoplus: 8:12am On Mar 22, 2013
dafnna: Prophet Obadare, i love you.
my mum used to be very strict with house maids.
in the 80's she was sick unto death and lost weight terribly.
the deliverance took place at your crusade in ilupeju-ekiti
it began to rain while you were ministering, you said the witches of my village (ilupeju ekiti) were responsible. you asked the rain to stop and it stopped. As a little child i was shocked. the question on my mind was whether the rain had EARS?
You started praying against the witches of the land and immediately our house maid who followed us to the retreat vomited a bird and started confessing how she used to suck my mum's blood in the night. she said my mum was wicked towards her and that made her to punish my mum with her witchcraft powers.
After her confession, my mum became extremely well after few days and we sent the maid away.
Prophet Obadare, my mum is alive today because God used you mightily that night.
May your soul rest sweetly in the bossom of Jesus. The news of your death made me so emotional. i feel like flying to Nigeria to honour you by attending your funeral rites. We will meet in heaven - that's our home.

RomanceRe: Why Should Anyone Abort A Pregnancy by ogoplus(op): 10:38am On Feb 24, 2013
101 ways not to get pregnant:

Well OK, maybe 101 was a bit of an exaggeration but follow these suggestions and you will stand a good chance of not getting pregnant...

>>>>Don't have sex without a condom - If you do you will not only stand a good chance of getting pregnant you will also be at risk of catching a nasty sexually transmitted infection!

>>>>Don't miss a daily contraceptive pill - It is advisable to use condoms and the pill together. However, if you do just use the pill you will risk pregnancy if you forget to take one or more. If this happens, you must use condoms and the pill for the rest of the pill cycle.

>>>>Don't take your daily contraceptive pill at irregular times - This lowers the effectiveness of the pill so you should always take it at the same time each day.

>>>>Don't have unprotected sex during your period - A lot of people think that whilst you are on your period you can't get pregnant... that is totally wrong! So work on the assumption that there is never a "safe time" to have unprotected sex.

>>>>Don't think pulling out before ejaculation can prevent pregnancy - Treat a penis like a loaded gun... it's always dangerous, so protect it with a condom at all times!

>>>>Don't think that it's OK to rub an unprotected penis around the outside of a vagina - It's still possible for some sperm to get inside.

>>>>Don't allow either partner's fingers to touch his penis then enter her vagina - even before ejaculation some sperm can be present.

>>>>Don't let fingers that have touched a penis touch the outside of a condom - sperm could be transferred to the condom and then get inside the vagina.

>>>>Don't leave a penis inside a vagina too long after ejaculation - It is always best to withdraw straight after ejaculation as a common cause for condoms coming off inside is when the penis has gone down and the condom is no longer a tight fit.

>>>>Don't have sex if you think all this is too much to remember! - It's easy to make a mistake in the heat of the moment so make sure this knowledge is second nature so you don't have to think about it!

>>>Emergency contraception Emergency contraception is available to women who have had unprotected sex. This includes sex without a condom or sex when a condom has split.

Most people know emergency contraception as the morning after pill but it can be taken up to 72 hours after unprotected sex - although the sooner it is taken the more effective it is.

Even after 72 hours there are still other options available which can be effective up to 5 days after so don't let time put you off going for help.

Emergency contraception pills are available from the following places:

•High street chemists - Free of charge from many chemists/pharmacies - see download section below for a list
•Your doctor*
•Sexual health clinics*
•Family planning clinics*

>>>>And finally...
Never underestimate the power of sperm... a small drop of semen on the end of a man's penis carries enough sperm to fertilise all the women in Columbia! In case your geography is not that hot, we are talking around 18 million babies!

Now I have my respect back.
RomanceWhy Should Anyone Abort A Pregnancy by ogoplus(op):
A colleague of mine who left the office yesterday(Sunday 18th Feb. 2013) in very high spirit came to work today (Monday 18th Feb. 2013) really sad..

When asked why; he explained that he just lost his sister ( a 200 level student in the university). She dead as a result of complications after aborting a pregnancy.

Meanwhile a few days ago, a friend told me he just got news from his "fiancé" that she's pregnant and he (my friend) is insisting she abort the pregnancy.

These two recent incidences make me wonder why anyone (including married couples) in this age and time will get pregnant and then consider aborting the pregnancy.

I am an apostle of abstinence.I must admit that I have not achieve the desired success in preaching abstinence hence, this thread

But for crying -out loud, if you can't abstain, do the right thing......

Just type in CONTRACEPTIVES into google or any search engine on the internet and learn.
Experience has shown that ladies/girls are usually at the receiving side of 101% of all the troubles that come with unwanted pregnancies.

So my sister why expose yourself.

If you can be on Nairaland;
You can use the internet;
if you can use the internet then you have no excuse of becoming pregnant when you are not ready.

Even if you let down your guards and had unprotected sex when you are not prepared, you have a wholesome 72 hours to stop that pregnancy.

Just Google “how to stop (or prevent) pregnancy in 72 hours”…..

It is important to note that it is not only the female folks that should learn about contraceptives.
Guys should also learn about contraceptives and use them and encourage their partners to use them instead of waiting till the harm is done and then start insisting on abortion or paternity test (after the baby is born).

PLEASE LETS STOP THE MADNESS; IT BEGINS WITH YOU!
NYSCRe: Corpers How Do You Manage Your N19,000 (Alawe) Monthly by ogoplus: 4:47pm On Feb 14, 2013
dan_dollar: I wonder how I suvived on N7,500.
Yes o. Back in the days. But I felt really guilty after the service year 2004/2005; I had only 30k in my bank account. I wish I had saved more.

@OP:- Surviving on your "ALAWEE" no matter how much depends on the following factors:

1.) Your area of primary assignment. If you're in a village, your cost of living may comparatively lower particularly when it comes to spending on food, transport and rent.

2.)Whether or not you still get support from your parents and other relatives during the service year. For instance I had a corper mate whose parent send her 10k (for up-keep)every month even when the federal AlAWEE was 7,5.

3.) You lifestyle.

4.) Like some others have said discipline.

5.) How you use your spare time. You may engage in a small business or offer private teaching classes for some extra income.

Cheers
