Probz: Mhm, but the thing is they’re meticulous in the way they cook, they use good vegetables (like utazi) and the ratio of tin tomatoes to fresh ones (and the rest) could not be more perfect. Maybe the ones who live in interior Uyo villages don’t do it that well but as someone who’s been in and out of both the U.K. and Nigeria I do feel like they do exceptionally well when it comes to things like that. A Yoruba woman wouldn’t be able to get their kind of consistency without using too much oil but because Calabar people are meticulous cooks they use the best ratios.
But I agree that their shades of vegetable soup can be a bit repetitive and same-y. They don’t seem to have much variety of swallow either so it doesn’t tend to be mostly garri or pounded yam. When it comes to variety of actual swallow I’d say Igbos, Yorubas and Deltans lead the roost to be fair. Igbos' all the way. |

ANIMABIDR: Why is the emergency just in one place ?
That means you have to drive to emergency to get an emergency? That road is narrow and you cant afford to park anyhow so the emergency shoulders where one can safely park in case of deflated tyres, mechanical faults or wanting to take a break or ease oneself. |

Nairas2dollars: I was surprised that they didn't allow my bike man to pass the gate. Once its 10pm then, bikes are no longer allowed into the school. The school then use DF to have there own bikes with aprons which is allowed within the school premises. Any non registered bike will only stop you at the gates |

Nairas2dollars: This happened 2021. tot as much. Left the school many years ago. 2005 to be precise and that stadium axis used to be safe. I use to trek at od hours from the SUB down to ziks flats from outings or late nite studies. Things must have changed Sorry for your babe though. I can relate with the pains you felt. |

Nairas2dollars: Exactly I guess it would be tht school. what happened to me too, my fiancee was a pharmacy student then in UNN, then I flew in Nigeria from U.K and to Enugu. Went to Nsukka lodge at golden valley hotel( u fit know am shaa) so I really wanted to see her that night because it was meant to be a surprise visit though chatted her on Facebook where she was exactly, she said marlima but was surprised why I asked. She thought I was still at U.K via Facebook. I boarded a bike but they didn't allowed the bike cross the gate..the security men....I walked inside the campus looking lost because I schooled at Unilag actually. I met a boy in the campus who directed me but didn't tell me that stadium was risky. Omoh, I was pressing my I phone 12 pro max and it was nearly snatched from me at that uncompleted stadium building but one huge fair guy saved me by shouting "thief oh". The guy later took me to the same marlima though I felt like blessing him and gave transferred 50k to his account. I reached marlima to see my bae and didn't see her at first till I chatted again and she said she was sitting at S.u.b but she was surprised asking me what I was using it for besides that guy that saved me at stadium took me to the s.u.b which wasn't far till I saw her sitting on top of the leg of another man, it was night, she didn't see me. I calmly sat down opposite with my newly found friend, we were just observing she and guy because I wanted to be sure until suddenly she stood up with the guy, they hugged and kissed just once. I was mad! I accosted her, she was so shocked that she started crying. Omoh, I was weak to go back to my hotel and I followed my newly found friend to his house at hill top or hill hop...but the place has name like that..not sure of the exact name. I was depressed that night and the guy explained to me to avoid unn pharmacy girls, that they have pride and not submissive with promiscuous lives. Forget that am a man, I cried that night! What year was this? Must be recent? |

You guys should learn to call a spade a spade, that's if you still know what that means. The money is not yours in the first place so why so much ado? I'm sure it's people like you that carry cameras to orphanage homes.
Wasn't looking for compensation my foot! If he had the ability to go back in time that guy will clearly not give the owner his money Birds of a feather indeed. You don't know me nor the poster so how can you say that? Common thank you would suffix. Lets learn to call a spade a spade, THE OWNER IS AN INGRATE! You can take that to the bank! |

thesicilian: I understand the sad reality that the morality of humans has become so skewed that it is now so difficult to tell black from white, but let's not forget that at the end of the day, one very important fact remains: that money belongs to the man. No one is doubting the fact that you could have taken the money and not get caught, or the man himself could have lost it there on the ground, but still it's his money and doesn't deserve to be vilified simply because you decided to do what any normal, right thinking human should do in similar situations and he for reasons best known to him did not reward you (in cash, kind or words) for it You made no sense. When you lost a property and another person helps you to find it, the least you can do is say thank you. The op was not looking for compensation and did not state so. What the owner did is wrong and should be condemned by all. No excuses! |

Business › Re: Dollar Rate May Hits N1000, Reps Member Says, Tackles Tinubu by Ogundex(m): 11:17am On Jul 27, 2023 |
Wodu89: It's not about wishful intentions, Nigeria is significantly unproductive. If you want upward appraisal of the value of your currency, it's not by giving speeches over a microphone
Here are strategies to improve the currency value
1. Stop importing what your country needs and uses the most. I.e Petroleum. Invest heavily in local production till domestic needs is fully met. This means investing heavily in crude oil exploration and daily output.
Next would then be to produce an excess of domestic consumption. Begin to invest enough in crude oil production for export purposes.
Next would be to invest heavily in the Liquid gas sector. Invest so much that you begin to compete with global players for market share.
An offshoot of petroleum industry, invest heavily in both domestic and exports of plastics, polymers, fertilizers.
Invest heavily in electricity generation for both domestic and exports purposes. Invest in it's entire value chain form production to distribution while decentralizing the sector. Place a focus of improving power generation by significant quota every 4-6 years. Because it's capital intensive seek heavy loans with long term repayments i.e $1-10bn with up to 100 years repayments.
Invest massively.in agriculture
All of these would bring in heavy flow of currencies while totally decimating outflow of funds in exchange of dollar.
The rep member doesn't understand modern economics and needs to stop being an alarmist. The naira can only improve in value when we begin to position the country on a productive path.
If all this isn't initiated, forget about currency revaluation You have points. Most of this sinators are there to enrich their pockets. Tinubu no try at all sha |

The very thing terrorists need is publicity. The more our media houses keep glorifying terrorists or giving them unnecessary media attention, the more their objective is being achieved.
What the BBC does in Nigeria, I bet they will never allow a Nigerian station to do same in the UK. You are totally weong in your assumptions. The media has succeded in exposing the terrorists, something the intelligence agencies has refused to do. Its left for them to go after these exposed terrorists and make them face the law instead of resorting to blackmailing the media. Are they trying to tell us that they did rather let the terrorists remain annon rather than being ezposed? Somethings are not adding up |

Even in the military, you have women who put on their skirts.
Trouser is not for women! It's for men. She is not man! And so her putting on skirt is not a crime.
Infact she is a worthy example for the ladies.
In all honesty, she cannot function wearing that outfit in camp. Its a trainning ground, paramillitary trainning for that. She can wait to wear what she is putting on now after camp or she can go for exemption instead of flaunting NYSC rules. |
