ifyalways:He later facilitated my trip to retrieve the backup. Subsequently, I had the backup sent to his office address. I guess he took it up from there. Thank you for checking up. |
It is funny how we judge people from a distance: - He loves yoghurt and he is taking what he loves - He is not hungry - He has food at home - He doesn't like eating out - He has money for only one plate Is it your business Abeg! |

The backup CD has been delivered to InspiredAutos office - March 14, 2016 |
lightheart:Noted. Thank you. |
Update on the topic: Inspiredm seems to have been advised and eventually came down from his high horse. He transferred N40,000 to facilitate my trip to enable me get his backup files. I will do so for him and thereafter request for an address to send the CDs to. That will be the last interaction with him. tdikeh:Bitter? Smh Inspiredm is a threat and not a customer. I am not losing a customer; I am losing a threat. |
barapistis:I am really shocked too! |
tdikeh:One word: foolishness! |
surrogatesng:Naa! He did not pay me for any task I am yet to deliver. |
4everGod:Thank you for the advice. I am waiting for his move of any sort. I will PM you. |
blank:Sure, will do. Thank you very much. |
Thank you very much for your advice. Will do as advised and will keep the house posted. This is really an eye opener for me. |
Thank you very much for your feedback. I will take the necessary steps as advised and I will update as he takes his next action. |
This number just 08137207459 called me telling me to come to Panti Yaba on Monday. I asked what for and he didn't say a thing. I asked for him name and he said "Don't worry" and cut the call. |
I developed Inspiredautos website and have been managing it for him since 2010/2011. He pays N10,000 annually for the hosting and I never charge him any support fee. Sometime last year, I took a business decision to decentralize my quasi hosting service to enable each customer own the root hosting accounts and make purchases from their offices if need be. Inspiredm's website was billed to expire on February 02, 2016. Three months before this date, I sent him email reminders informing him of the need to act fact before the expiry. In the email, I told him that I intend shutting down our hosting service and offered him two options to enable him seamlessly move to a new host. Option 1: Pay us the sum of N12,000 to cover for the internet cost for downloading and uploading several GB of data to a new host OR Option 2: Look for a developer to handle the migration for you. He went for option 2. I received an email requesting for details to enable him transfer. I sent him the website database and provided him with FTP details to transfer. Also, I pushed his domain to his new developer as requested. After Feb 02, 2016, he was yet to move his files. As expected, the website went off. He contacted me and after talks I offered to give him one month FREE extension after which the account will be cancelled to enable him work things out. Afterwards, Inspiredm did not call me and surprisingly did not do anything about his website. As expected again, the website went off by March 04, 2016 again. This time it was not reversible. He called me again. I was very sad that he allowed the whole process linger without taking any action. Luckily for him, I backup my whole server offline periodically (he doesn't pay for this. I use my resources). the last valid backup was in December 2015. As usual I gave him the three options that are available: 1. Since, the backup is in another state. He may cool down when I travel, I will get it for him so he will not lose the files. 2. If he is in a hurry, he can finance my trip to enable me get it for him. 3. Develop another website (which I told him is not a good choice). He chose Option 2 and said that we should work together. That we have been working in peace all along. He also requested for me to send him all it will cost to setup the website again. Immediately, I went online to check hosting cost on Namecheap and flight ticket to the East. After confirming prices, I sent him this: 1. Hosting account - N25,600 (An account will be created for him on Namecheap and payment made using his account). 2. Flight ticket on Aero / Arik (Return) - N40,000 3. My fee (time spent for travel, internet service to deal with the large upload and service charge to setup the website again) - N65,000 (1) and (2) above are actual prices so I expected him to negotiate (3). What did I see next, curses and threats; saying that He will deal with ruthlessly. I was shocked to say the least. Where did I wrong this man?? - I have been loyal to you for 5 - 6 years with zero benefit - You were informed and reminded (with records) that your account will expire. - When your account expired, you begged and you were given a month grace. - You did nothing and you lost your account. - There is an offline database backup for you which you never paid for. - You were given an option of being patient till I travel to reduce the cost for you. Where did I wrong him? If he is patient, my plan is to get the backup and give to him when I go for Easter break but he said he wants the website up and he wants me to do it right away. I am willing to cancel all my engagements for Inspiredm yet, what I get is threat. He went to Facebook to get the picture of my mother and sister saying they will suffer too. All I kept on saying was " Seek knowledge, be wise " as I was shocked to my marrow. This is really so petty coming from someone that claims to be classy. Please, house advise me on what to do. Please, Mods take to home page after verification if need be as someone needs to advise this guy. Thank you. |

All these rise and fall seem to be so artificial. Even banks still bill at N299.60 |
LeksideOLM:Not particularly true. You can be earning 500k and live a 50k lifestyle. |
Would you accept a job with no base salary? Would you like to get paid 100% on commission? Or would you think that job is a poor option and look for something safer? Many people say they want to get paid based on their performance, but few are willing to bet their livelihoods on it. Business owners make that bet every day. If the business makes no money, they make no money. It's a strong incentive to hustle, create value for customers, and do whatever it takes to make it work. So, if you cannot bet your livelihood on your performance, then you better sit back and continue being employed or search for a new job on MyJobMag. Happy Sunday. |

You want the guy to retry so you can humiliate him further? Great. A person can be either selfish or dumb. But when both those attributes are seen in one person I don't know what to say. You expressed your feelings of not liking him. He respected that and never contacted you again. That's it. Stop expecting guys to run behind you after you have rejected them. If you are a lady and you are in the habit of doing this then you are selfish and dumb. |
Once I approached a woman I know from friends. I got to know her a little and all was going great. So I got her number and after a few text message I called. I was direct and asked her out. She said - Well, erm, I got a boyfriend you see. Me - Oh, cool. Hey, it's fine. You take care and it was great meeting you anyway. What happens next should be made into a god damn Hollywood drama movie. This is how it went.... Evening the phone rings.. Her friend - Hey how you doing Adam? Me - Oh great. Just going out though Her friend -Ok but what happened with (name) Me - Nothing. Why? Her friend - She said you showed no interest. I thought you liked her. Me - Huh? I asked her out. She said she got a boyfriend. Her friend - She hasn't got a boyfriend. She was wondering why you didn't persist? Me - WHAT?!?! 3 hours later... Another of her friends - Hey Adam I thought you two were good for each other Me - What you on about? Her friend 2 - You know (name). She was all talking about you for 2 weeks. Excited. Me - (confused) Me - But she said she has A BOYFRIEND!!! Her friend 2 - Yeah but all girls say that....you know... Me - No I don't. If a woman says she got a boyfriend, she has a boyfriend. That's how I take it. What the hell. You and your friends are crazy. I swear, this went on for sometime and it turned me off with her so bad, I never wanted to ever date her. Ever. If that's how she was then man, forget it. It be like this..... Her - I wanted coffee Me - But I asked if you wanted a drink but you said no Me - Yeah but you know, I really meant I do want coffee Me - What YOU ON ABOUT? I asked and you said you didn't want any? Her - But I really meant yes. Me - ?!?!?!?!?!?! When we guys hear no, or got a boyfriend, it means no. It means for us to keep our distance. It means the woman is not interested because I have tried persisting before and I had enough of the BS that comes with it. You know, some women want attention. Some want just to feel they can attract a guy but nothing. Some want to drag the BS along for a little longer. But it doesn't wash with me or many guys. A no is a no. So I don't call a woman who doesn't call back. I don't text anymore if women don't text back. I don't wonder about signals....what if and how come. I don't wonder if she might be interested or if I should push it and try again. I don't mean to sound arrogant but... The world is full of women. Amazing women. Women of passion, purpose, goals, ideas, creativity and values. By her saying no...it has now freed me to approach other women and I saw it as her being honest. So awesome. I can move on. I mean no one out of their mind will say no when they mean yes - and yes to mean no. 2+2 = logic! But you see sometimes logic has nothing to do with what is going on. It's emotions, fears, insecurities, perceptions and a whole lot of stuff I cannot see in a woman's head. All I know is to make sure she feels safe, comfortable and I am not over stepping her boundaries. That she knows I can move on and walk away. That it's no problem for her to say no or yes. It's ok if I get a no. I'm a man. Strong enough and have higher purpose to let rejection get me down. I solid, rock solid and I'll take a no as a no. When I hear no, when I see or I don't get much of a response, when I hear any word about boyfriend, or ex boyfriend then like most guys we move on. I see it that if I try anymore I am making the woman feel uncomfortable. I have self respect and I got to move on. Playing hard to get may work on some guys but for guys who got self worth and got a lot going on life.....they move on. The woman got asked, she said no and I haven't got a court order over my head because I didn't take no as...no. That's why. Guys, you don't need a drama queen and run away from friend zone with this advice. Culled from Quora. |
