Dunpuzo, we agree wth you totally, a no good in maths can be a programmer afterall he can copy and paste some select statements and image uploads.

But we are saying that maths is a big plus, when you give this our so called programmer a simple work that will involve simple trig, he will come and meet dhtml, lojik, etc. case finish.

@Dunpuzo, what excatly do u consider logical analysis ability?

Ive done some IQ tests both online and offline, and their logical analysis except for the diagrammatic analysis, have some mathematical undertone.

What do you consider logical analysis when u do not know that a mathematical formular can complete a task (cos u are bad at mathematics)  whereas the same programmer next door simply plugs in the formulars and he is out.

Between the two programmers in the above paragraph paragraph, who has a better logical analysis ability?

Generally, programming does not require Maths. But some applications may require.

The statement is contradictory, why the generalisation when you know that some applications require mathematics?

well, its not about the javascript thing, i can still site some php examples where gd knowledge of mathematics is essential.

Atimes for u to run some complex mysql queries u even need some mathematics knowledge.

If its my former boss , he will say there is a diff between a real programmer and an if-then-else programmer.

Are you trying to say that if u were told to draw out an algorithm for a problem that requires some math knowledge, you will go and employ a maths guy to help you?

For me you may not be able to remove mathematics from the life of a good programmer.

I strongly think mathematics is quite important for a programmer

Did you just say scratch my foot? Please dont expose your lack of knowledge.

Without people like us who do scratch , you will be out of market long ago. Presently, im designing some template themes from scratch; at the end of the day you will download one of them and open your mouth or rather you have the guts to type this: 'Scratch my foot'.

I am really angry with you, cos u are writing against the people that feed you with templates daily. You should rather be thankful and say things like: ' Cos i cannot do from scratch, i use templates, and i thank people that scratch code and make these templates available for use'

Show some gratitude. show some respect, accept your weaknesses and everybody is happy.

The timing varies, depending on workload and schedule.

Some dudes can code forgetting breakfast and lunch,

@LouisThoro, yeah thats you now; u can code for 18 hours (thats if u can), and you will not have anything to show for it; other can do same and have loads to show for it.

I code nothing less than 10 hours daily, i work saturdays and sundays too
