speaking from similar experience (though different duration), complete the laziness cycle but with a target.

You can make your mind to sleep and lazy for 2 days after which you commence serious work like never before. set targets as well (well defined targets, eg. by 1pm i must have done the home page layout, , )

The sites are simple and cool, but considering the kind of client you have, maybe you need something extra (maybe they need some designs here and there)

I think the header portion may be a bit too simple and a bit empty,

Some people like simplicity , some people dont, Was browsing some time ago, came across this website ( www.devry.edu ); their banner is simple but stylish at the same time. You can just give them somthing out of the box.

Add some style to the page background, seems a bit too simple too.

The pics u used on the home page , seem to be too simple too (nawa o , this my simple self, but its true, i think they need lil effizy, remove the coding part of u and put on the graphics part of you)

You cannot imagine the effect a glassy more button will have instead of the 'More' link

Maybe, instead of using the lightbox/colorbox; you may create seperate pages for them, with graphics matching each page content. (unless na wetin dey want o)

My chairman, just add styles and designs, the pages can really be better.

@ OP, to really learn, play down on your ego, the words 'trash', 'rubbish' should be in your homezone. Pls do not explain why your website is whack. It is whack because you do not know how to design,  simple! but i assure you, if you open your mind to criticism (not the who or how but the what) , you will learn.

lemme give u a typical example: a friend did this: www.nesaunizik.com. He told me to comment on design, i simply told him that the site is whack, the banner is whack, the header whack. cos he is eager to improve, he simply told me that he must redesign everything (and he is doing it) cos he wants to be very good. i thought for a while and said to myself: 'this guy will go places' cos he got the spirit.

While i was learning web designing, my boss used to tell me: 'this is utter rubbish', when i hear that like five times in a day, i simply go to him with a piece of paper to help me sketch a better layout. At the end of the day i go home happy cos i have grossly improved my skills.

@monasor28, i learnt a lot from your posts. I learnt that talking too much is very bad. You obviously exposed all your weaknesses. i cant help but laugh when i read your 'https' crap, real crap!!!!
Take it from me, exercise caution while expressing yourself especially what you do not know too well. I only agree with you that the website design is crap.
