I just met a friend like that, a serving corper. Sometimes I'm afraid she may suffer depression and may not be eating well. Most of these may be traceable to the family background and a young lady may just decide to stay alone and avoid the issues arising from the home. If it is about independence, that may not be an issue because she may have a workable plan, how good the plan is is another question. Lastly, please show love and not to condemn anybody in such situation. |

I was at the Departure wing of MMIA last Sunday to travel to S. Africa with a new Passport when the Customs/Immigration people descended on me with various type of questions. Honestly, some of the questions did not just make sense. At the end, I realised that they were only after money. My question: is it a crime to travel out with a virgin International Passport? What is the government doing to curb this intimidation and embarrassment of innocent travelers? Are they now doing the jobs of the Embassy that issued the Visa because at some point they were asking for the invitation letter from my host, as if they would confirm such letter? It was really embarrassing. |
It depends on your job coverage. In my case, I cover both internal and external aspects of the company. I am a qualified accountant. It is a big job and depending on the size, you'll definitely need a team. EXTERNAL Ensure company meet all regulatory report requirements as and when due viz: Sec/Firs/Frcn/Cac/son/Irs etc etc Fulfil company's set CSR Monitor new developments & innovations in the outside world and report. Obtain pass clearances for all of the above and keep file INTERNAL Write and update COPs/SOPs (procedures or policies) Train and retrain relevant staff Go for relevant trainings yourself Seek experts opinion where it's not your field Ensure staff read, understand and sign the cops Set deadlines/targets Make periodical reports Follow up on correctional issues Highlight areas of weaknesses & strengths Encourage punishment & rewards Plan ahead eg Budgeting Set up controls & highlight deviations Above all, be focused and friendly otherwise people will see you as an enemy and thwart your goals. |
My borehole (for private home use) has enough water but the quality is not too good. It is slightly smelly and comes out with a slight colouration. It has stained all my toilet and kitchen equipment. However, if I pump into a dedicated tank and left untouched for like a month, it comes out perfectly without odour or any colour. I sincerely seek your suggestions on the best water treatment method or plant to procure to resolve this. For many reasons I don't want to do another borehole, it is better to treat the existing one. Thanks for your anticipated and helpful suggestions. |
