Sanchez01:
The Portuguese striker, crowned the Best FIFA Men's Player of the Year for 2016, directed a curious remark towards Barcelona during the ceremony.

An excited Ronaldo gracefully walked to the stage to receive his award while he trolled 'some people from Barcelona'. grin grin

grin grin grin

No doubt that 2016 belongs to Rinaldo, but we all fail to forget that if Messi had won the copa America, trust me,this year award would have been soo tight....
Ronado comment to me is childish and he doesn't need it..The whole of Barcelona squad not coming shouldn't be what he should bring up.....

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How To Identify A Scam Interview Invitation by Ohraybs(m): 6:06pm On Aug 07, 2014
LaurelP: I have seen so many Nairalanders complaining and lamenting their ordeal in the hands of fake scam companies who invite people for interview only to introduce them to fake drug marketing business.
I'm doing this not only because these companies waste people's time, energy and T-fair going to such interviews, but also because most of these scammers extort money from hapless job seekers thereby making their suffering times two.
Imagine a scammer extorting #10,500 from a graduate who have been unemployed for years, not to talk of the transport fare wasted going to such fruitless interviews or job chat as they usually call it.
Some people even borrow money to pay these sheep in wolves clothing, who promise them heaven on earth. Some will tell you that you will make half a million within 1 month and all that. If you're not careful, you will take a loan that you will not be able to repay thus causing embarrassment and lack of rest of mind. An unemployed person should have only himself to worry about, not having debts also.

So I believe that if we are properly guided, we will not fall into the hands of these scammers.
Having said that, there are ways by which one can identify a fake or scam interview invitation and there fore avoid such waste of time and money. The good thing is that most of their messages come in the same format, so you will know its fake!

1. The message does not bear a company name: most of these scammers won't include their names on the message you will receive. All you will see are the address, the time and date and a phone number. A genuine company will not hide its identity from a potential employee.

2. The message will say "interview/job briefing": whatever job briefing means I don't know!
3. You will see a code or reference: something like "HR=0056" or "REF=002". This is an indication of the code number of the person who invited you to the "job briefing".
4. It will contain a phone number: this is the number of your referer. Most genuine companies don't give phone numbers.
5. You will see HR Admin in the message instead of company name
6. If you call their number, they will be reluctant to give info on the company.

And pls, ignore those people sharing job flyers on the streets, and those ones they paste on walls. Those are scammers and some ritualists too. And also most of these so called agencies are avenues for duping unsuspecting job seekers. Pls shine your eyes well well.
I will post the names of some of these fake companies/ agencies later.

Pls if you have any experiences inthe hands of these scammers kindly share it here so that others can learn and avoid them too. Thank you

Cheers!

Culture / Re: Which Is The Easiest Nigerian Language To Learn? by Ohraybs(m): 8:37am On Jan 05, 2014
pazienza:

You are a goat. If not, you would have known that nollywood is Igbowood packaged in English language with a heavy dose of Igbo language used to spice it up and breath life into it. The culture Nollywood depicts is Igbo, that's why you have Igwes,Ezes and Obis as Kings in Nollywood, and no Oba. Even olu jacobs had to act to learn one or two Igbo words to adapt to Igwe roles he often play. ozokwor speaks 70 percent English and 30 percent Igbo in her movies, the traditional weddings in Nollywood are quintessential Igbo traditional weddings, the dressings and even the village settings are unmistakeably Igbo. You must be blind and stupid not to have noticed these, all these while.
Seriously,nw I see ow ur tinking is,Bro,will b bad if I start callin you names, buh I am a matured guy,buh wah I will tell you is that Igbo Language aint recognised at all, unlike Yoruba and Hausa,Guy,go look at the slogan na(WAZOBIA),tell me,where una dey,no be last......Am not tryin to b a racist here, buh I hve given u d truth bout dis issue.......Yoruba Nollywood is far better dan Igbo, and Igbo films aint popular like Yoruba......Happy New Year Dude.....

Culture / Re: Which Is The Easiest Nigerian Language To Learn? by Ohraybs(m): 7:35am On Jan 05, 2014
MR. WHINNIG:
Igbo is one of the easiest languages to learn in Nigeria and also one of the richest languages in Africa. There are many dialects of Igbo: Onitsha/Delta Igbo, Awka/Central Anambra Igbo, Southern Anambra Igbo, Nsukka Igbo, Ngwo/Central Enugu Igbo, Owerri Igbo, Abakiliki/Ebonyi Igbo, Ohafia/Arochukwu/Abia Igbo, Ikwerre Igbo and Equatorial Guinea Igbo to mention but a few. But all of them are mutually intelligible, except for the Nsukka and Ebonyi dialects which have evolved separately over time because of their geographical isolation.

Igbo is also the second language of mainstream Nollywood after English.
I am personally attacking you here,Igbo of all Languages,Chai,my friend igbo is not recognised at all in the world..Yoruba is the most Language recognised in the world,Yoruba is the only course being accredited in Some American Universities for students to go study........Let's talk bout Nollywood aspect, after English,Yoruba Movie is the next cos I barely see Igbo movie in market, xcept ur states, and rite nw sef Yoruba movie don dey take over English sef cos almost all d English Actors and Actresses are comin over to Yoruba...........

NYSC / Re: 2013/ 2014 Corpers': When Are You Returning For Your January Clearance? by Ohraybs(m): 10:50pm On Dec 25, 2013
Jakeattah: I am really confused o, we normally do our clearance every first thursday of the month. I came home for the christmas break(cos I can't spend it there) and our L.G.I says we have to be back for our clearance by 2nd of January, which is the first thursday or lose your january allowance.
Where I stay is very far from where I'm serving. I can't imagine spending the new year in a vehicle. So I am wondering is it so elsewhere or is it just our L.G.I tryin to squeeze a few bucks out of us?

sureteeboy: The ones u're talking about are already labelled as fantasy movies with fantasy plots. But, why should you watch a movie with no fantasy setting and end up seeing a herbalist in the movie to unravel a mystery that has been keeping the movie moving? It's totally out of it.
Guy,dunno wah to say bout you,buh wah I will simply say is,most of all d films dey produce oh,either hollywood, bollywood or Nollywood are the same,Go check Fast and furious 6 and u will see a big lies, and yet we derive joy in praisin dem, forgetin dat govt sponse den to do deirs while ours is being done with deir moni...Guy,we need to appreciate deir work.....
Nairaland / General / Re: How Harsh Is The Harmattan Weather In Your State? by Ohraybs(m): 11:52pm On Dec 19, 2013
okpara ugo: The harmnattan has started showing off in different states of Nigeria since the end of last week.

I personally travelled from the east to north and can confirm that the harshness of the harmattan increases as you travel up north. Dont know what it is like in the west right now.

Kaduna is particularlly very cold. People have to put on singlet, t-shirt and two outer jackets, stockings and even hand gloves to the able to keep their body warm outdoors.
Chai,Odikwa very harsh here in Obodoukwu,Imo state oh,the breeze sef dey carry my pot and stove oh.......
Religion / Re: Bitter Truth About Blessed Virgin Mary by Ohraybs(m): 8:39am On Dec 17, 2013
Macelliot: People kept saying that, 'Catholics are worshipping Virgin Mary,' but I wants to prove them wrong.
* Firstly, we 'Catholics' are not worshipping Virgin mary, but instead, honouring her.
* Secondly, the holy bible made us to know in Luke 1:26-31 that the Arch-angel Gabriel visited Virgin Mary and greeted her saying, "you are full of grace, the Lord is with you, blessed are you among women and blessed in the fruit of your worm, Jesus." Please, which woman again in this world can an Angel greet with such respect. Angel Gabriel honoured Mary, because He delivered the message from GOD. so who are you not to honour her? Are you greater than an Angel of GOD?
* Can Jesus Christ dwell in an unholy body? No ofcourse! She(Mary) is the only woman whom GOD has choosen.
* In Revelation 12:1-18, there was a woman who was clothed by the Sun, the moon under her feet and twelve star as a crown. She was about to deliver a Son and the pain at child birth made her cry. There appeared a dragon, who wanted to kill her, but fail. At that time the Archangel Michael fought the dragon and defeat the it. What I wanted to bring out here is that during the birth of Jesus Christ. King Herod wanted to kill Jesus by killing all the children atleast 2yrs, thinking He kill Jesus, but He failed.
* Last, but not the least. Blessed Virgin Mary was Clothed by the Sun, the moon as foot-mat and 12 stars as crown. Waoh! That's great! Anybody that condems Catholics by saying we are worshipping Mary is so jealous, [s]because no woman in that person's generations or generations to come, even grand, great, great-great-great-great-great-great-grand mother of that person combined together[/s] is as great as Blessed Virgin Mary.
We 'Catholics.' Our doctrines lies on mysterious teachings.' where ignorance, fools, pharisees and sadducees people can never understand. JESUS CHRIST teaches in parable, even His diciple couldn't understand Him, unless He explains it like ABC. So that is how Catholics are. You will keep on condeming Catholics until you know their mysterious teachings, then you will understand clearly. Thanks.
Chai,am so happy for this oh,pls where ur house dey sef.......
