National Leader of the All Progressives Congress and former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu says he was ready to get dirty to secure the presidential seat come 2023.

The APC chieftain stated this when he visited the Olubadan-designate, Dr. Lekan Balogun, at his Alarere residence in Ibadan, Oyo State on Sunday.

Tinubu, who said he was ready to be dirty with anyone in his quest to become the President of the country, said he came to the newly appointed Olubadan and by extension to Ibadan people to solicit their support.

“No amount of intimidation can stop me. I am ready to get dirty. I am out to become President of Nigeria. We are at the crossroads,” Tinubu said.

“I come here to request for your prayer for me and the Yoruba race. We are at a crossroads, people are volunteering to confront me when they were asked that who would confront the lion of Bourdillion.

“I am out to become President of Nigeria. No intimidation, no blackmail can stop me. I have read about a Greek philosopher that if you want to fight a pig, you must be ready to be smeared and I’m ready to be dirty.”

Politics / We Need More Rebels In Nigeria.. Olusegun Obasanjo by oilPUSSY(f): 7:17pm On Feb 19, 2022
A former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, said that for Nigeria to move forward, it requires “more rebels” that are bold to speak the truth to the power.

Obasanjo said Nigeria needs more rebels who would speak the truth to power not minding whose ox is gored.

The former president spoke on Saturday in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, while unveiling the autobiography of the Babanla Adinni of Egbaland, Chief Tayo Sowunmi, titled “Footprints Of A Rebel.”

Obasanjo concluded that having rebels remains one of the greatest steps towards rebuilding Nigeria.

The autobiography reviewed by Hafsat Abiola Costello, founder of Kudirat Initiative for Democracy, was unveiled as part of the celebration of the 80th birthday of Sowunmi, a former activist and elder statesman.

Shortly before the unveiling of the autobiography, Obasanjo submitted that whoever must live life of honesty and integrity has to be a rebel.

Obasanjo said “Looking at the title of the book, I ask myself, why would someone call himself a rebel. But it is good.

“But the truth is that if you have to leave a life of honesty and integrity, you have to become a rebel. There would be some time you would be asked have to do something, but you would say no, this is not right. And when you say that you will become a rebel. You may even become a persona non grata.

“Our country, there is no country that we can call our own except Nigeria. Our country, Nigeria, needs more rebels. Those who would look at things straight in the face and say ‘this is not right, this, I will not be part of, this is not good for Nigeria.”

He, however, lauded the octogenarian for living “an exemplary life worthy of emulation by the younger generation.”

Earlier in his speech, the Serving Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, called for inter-generational reintegration between older and younger generations, as part of efforts to rebuild Nigeria.

Bakare, who spoke on “Worthy Nation Building Legacies by the older generation of Nigerians, said it was a shame that while younger generations are taking over leadership in other countries, the older generation refuses to leave the stage in Nigeria.

According to Bakare, the nation rebuilding development has suffered because of the marginalisation of the youth and the progressives who abandoned politics.

He also blamed the nation’s challenges on those he called “moneybags and bullion van politicians.”

Bakare called for generational reintegration, beginning from the households, embracing cultural values that foster nation-building as well as mentoring and leadership development for the younger generation.

Crime / Nigerian Man Risks 20-Year Jail For Defrauding American Citizens Of ₦272 Million by oilPUSSY(f): 5:15pm On Dec 21, 2021
Nigerian Man Risks 20-Year Jail For Defrauding American Citizens Of N272million In Fake Covid-19 Schemes

A Nigerian man, Oluwaseyi Akinyemi, has pleaded guilty to two counts of mail fraud relating to a social media advanced fee fraud scheme that targeted elderly victims.

The 35-year-old who lives at Hyattsville, Maryland listed an At-Home care patient’s address to receive fraudulently obtained unemployment funds and also participated in an Elder Fraud Scheme that scammed 13 victims.

The guilty plea was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland, Erek L. Barron; Acting Special Agent-in-Charge Troy Springer, of the Washington Regional Office, U.S. Department of Labor Office of Inspector General; Special Agent in Charge James R. Mancuso of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Baltimore; and Chief Malik Aziz of the Prince George’s County Police Department.

This was revealed in a statement by the U.S Attorney’s Office issued on Monday.
“This office will prosecute anyone misusing this pandemic crisis to line their own pockets,” said U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland Erek L. Barron.

“Akinyemi not only took fraudulent advantage of a nursing care patient, a national health crisis, and an employment crisis, but he also caused significant financial harm to 13 elderly victims.”

According to his guilty plea, from July 10, 2018 to April 29, 2019, Akinyemi and at least one co-conspirator colluded to involve in a social media-based elder fraud scheme. Members of the conspiracy targeted elderly victims on social media platforms, impersonating accounts of the victim’s friends in order to vouch for their fraudulent financial scheme and convince the victim to send money in hopes of receiving a financial reward.
Within the scheme to defraud, the conspiracy members presented themselves as agents of real and fictitious government programmes that offered supposed financial benefits to qualifying individuals.

Once the victims demonstrated interest, other members of the conspiracy utilized a new account or persona to represent themselves as an agent of an agency or community fund.
The victim was then instructed to send money in a mail service system to the agency for “taxes and fees.”

Believing that they would receive a financial reward, the victims sent cash, money orders, gift cards, and other valuable items through mail services to Akinyemi as well as other members of the conspiracy in order to obtain a financial reward.

The defendant received packages under the aliases of “Paddy Linkin,” “Flex,” “Joseph Kadin,” and “Anna Marcos,” in addition to other aliases.

After receiving the fraudulently obtained funds, Akinyemi delivered the fraudulently obtained cash to co-conspirators in Nigeria.
During an interview with law enforcement on April 15, 2019, Akinyemi confirmed that he had received packages from victims throughout the country, detailed the scheme to defraud, and informed investigators that individuals in Nigeria were responsible for soliciting the victims to send money to him.

Further, Akinyemi stated that he received approximately $80,000 in the mail in the year prior to his interview.

As part of the scheme to defraud elder victims, Akinyemi and his co-conspirators defrauded at least 13 victims, caused significant financial hardship to victims, and caused a loss of at least $478,145.07 (N272,542,650).

In total, Akinyemi and his co-conspirators used the identities of 19 real individuals to file fraudulent unemployment insurance and PUA claims, caused an actual loss of more than $7,000, and projected an intended loss of $250,000 in state and federal benefits.
Akinyemi faces a maximum of 20 years in federal prison for each count of mail fraud followed by up to three years of supervised release. U.S. District Judge Theodore D. Chuang has scheduled sentencing for April 11, 2022, at 11am.

Kidnappers have abducted two clerics in Ogun State, according to the police authorities.

The victims – Islamic clerics – were whisked away by a four-man gang at Ayetoro along Ayetoro-Abeokuta road in the Yewa-North Local Government Area of the state.

The kidnappers were said to have stormed the residence of the clerics on Saturday night shortly after they arrived from a public lecture.

A family member of one of the victims, Hussein Ibrahim, told Channels Television that the kidnappers took their time to carry out the operation as they ate before taking away their victims.

“It happened around 10pm when they were alighting from the Toyota Highlander which my brother had just bought two months’ ago,” Hussein said.

“The kidnappers were five and when they came, they had laid ambush somewhere in the dark and were able to capture them immediately.

“After they took them, they marched them inside, seized our phones, went to the kitchen, took the Eba and pot of soup, and ate the food and all the meats in the soup before taking the clerics away.”

He also said that the kidnappers were armed with dangerous weapons.

He, however, said the kidnappers had contacted the family and demanded N15million as ransom.

The victim’s brother disclosed that at the time of filing this report that the police were aware of the situation.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident.

He said that police and other security agencies including the local hunters had begun combing the bush in the area.

“Yes, we are aware. Our men have been there with others including local hunters combing the bush,” the police spokesman said.

“We will get them. We have got others in Ijebu-Ode and other areas in the state. We will get them and deal with them.”
