Who are really Tinubu's supporters because even majority of his kinsmen are against him both the elites and the masses, both online and offline...

I have come across many Yoruba youths who are cursing Tinubu day and night for what he subjected them to.. But some people are trying to create an Impression that his hatred is coming from the East which is a big lie..

Honestly it's only on nairaland that I am seeing people shouting Bat up and down ...

I have never seen a southern politician who put his trust on northerners for support and came out victorious.. It has never happened in the history of Nigeria.. Obasanjo despite being hated in his region had the backing of majority of southerners and the middle belt before core Northerners ..

If Tinubu is hoping on Northeners, waiting to to achieve what Awo and Abiola could not achieve with bigotry ( Igbo hate), then the outcome of Abiola and Awolowo's struggle wont be different from his own ..

The Grandpa and his urchins want to use "Sescession" which is greatest nothern nightmare as a tool to campaign against his opponent that's why he's busy running up and down shouting that Igbos should get their ticket from PDP then meet him at the pooling unit, as if a yoruba candidate can defeat an Igbo candidate at the pooling unit..

Unfortunately for him all these things won't matter by 2023 .. Nobody will buy his propaganda ( If he will even get APC ticket)

Politics / Stop Interfering In Our Affairs, Yoruba Traditionalists Warn Yoruba Muslims by oilPUSSY(f): 7:44pm On Mar 16, 2022
Traditional Worshippers in Ogun State have warned Muslims, Christians and those they termed “recalcitrant Obas” to steer clear of the burial and installation rites of the monarchs in the State.

DAILY POST recalls that the new Chieftaincy Law in Ogun has stopped the imposition of rituals or fetish practices during the installation or burial of Obas.

DAILY POST reports Part 8 of the new law as stating inter-alia that: “No Oba or a Chief shall be compelled to join any secret cult, secret society or any association or organisation against his wish or religious beliefs.

“Any person who contravenes the provision of subsection (1), is guilty of an offence and liable to imprisonment for two (2) years without option of fine.”

The law also states that, “any person(s) who disturbs the burial of Traditional Rulers by the family is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to Twelve (12) months imprisonment.”

It states further that, even if a traditional ruler is to be buried in accordance with the customs and traditions of the land, “his body shall not be subjected to any mutilation or cannibalization.”

But, traditionalists in the state said they are not happy with the new law because Christians and Muslims were misinterpreting the law to suit their interests.

Addressing newsmen in Sagamu, the traditionalists, under the aegis of Traditional Worshippers Association of Nigeria (Egbe Onisese Parapo), argued that the new law allows a deceased monarch to be buried in accordance with the customs and traditions of the land, citing section 55 (i-v) of the law.

By this, they submitted that, the law does not state that a traditional ruler “shall be installed or buried by either Muslim or Christian clerics or in accordance with their religion and beliefs.”

Speaking on behalf of the association, High Chief Ifasola Opeodu, however, admitted that the particular section of the law which allows family in the burial process of a traditional ruler appears controversial and will create vital lacuna between both the family and those that are entitled to observe the traditional rites together on a lifeless body of a demise traditional ruler.

Opeodu, flanked by other leaders of the association, said “Section 55 (i-v) of new Obas and Chiefs Law of Ogun State, 2021, is to preserve the necessary rites as attached to the post of traditional rulers in a given community and the section provides thus: ‘(ii) a traditional ruler shall be entitled to be buried in accordance with the customs and traditions of the land, save however, that his body shall not be subjected to any mutilation or cannibalization.”

Opeodu declared that the era of cannibalization had been abolished, saying traditional worshippers of Ogun State “are not practicing cannibalism and up till this moment, we have not seen any testimony or reliable evidence from Obas or individual to the effect that the Osugbo and the traditional worshippers in Ogun State are eating human flesh.”

He, therefore, appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari, governors and all security operatives to refrain from being used as “agents of destruction” by the “religious cabals and recalcitrant Obas” in the course of implementing the new law as it affects the installation and burial rites of the deceased monarchs.

“In view of the above law which serves as a stern warning to all Muslim and Christian intruders together with the recalcitrant Obas and their sympathisers to stay out of the Obaship installation and burial processes upon the clear reflections in the said new law that Muslims and Christians are not members of the traditional institution,” he said

Kid, if you have the privilege, take a visit to her annual convention so you have an idea of the average population of its members across the world. Aside the Pope in Rome, an average Nigerian hardly knows what the most senior Catholic priest in Nigeria sounds like, says how inconsequential much he is. Last I checked, Presidential candidates across the divide seek Adeboye's blessings and approval, what more proof of influence can you ask for?

I don't know why non christians are stressing themselves about Christianity.. The bolded has exposed where you belong because such thing "most senior catholic priest" doesn't exist..

As for their convention and their retreat, I have attended it twice at their redeem camp in Ogun hence my confidence in my analysis.. Redeem members across Nigeria has a negligible Numbers across the country to compare with Catholic and Anglican church..

As for presidential candidates visit to RCCG, have it at the back of ur mind that they also visit some pentecostal Churches that are in the same level with RCCG like, Winner's church, Deeper Life, Chosen , Christ embassy and mountain of fire

Politics / Hausa And Yoruba Youth Engage In Violent Clash In Ogun Market by oilPUSSY(f): 6:32am On Mar 09, 2022
Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, was on Tuesday, thrown into confusion as Yoruba and Hausa youths had a violent clash.

The clash occurred at the popular Lafenwa Market in Abeokuta, leading to apprehension in the area.

It was learnt that the gunshots could be heard as the bloody clash became messier on Tuesday morning.

It was gathered that the clash started from a fight between a Yoruba and a Hausa man on Monday and by Tuesday, shops and stalls were being razed.

Goods worth millions of naira were reportedly destroyed during the crisis.

Unconfirmed reports of the death of a Hausa man, one of the two persons at the centre of it, was said to have provoked his tribesmen, who reportedly destroyed goods, Daily Post reports

The Seriki Hausa (head of Hausa settlers), who was called to intervene in the crisis was also injured.

The spokesman for the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident but added that the situation had been brought under control.

The police spokesperson said no life was lost, contrary to the report that a Hausa man was killed in the incident.

Oyeyemi added that the police had arrested several persons in connection to the crisis.

“I’m aware of the clash, but the situation has been brought under control. We have made some arrests. I don’t want to disclose the number of persons we have arrested, but we have made some arrests.

“But, contrary to what people are insinuating, no life was lost, but people were injured while shops were also burnt and property destroyed.

“We are still investigating the clash. The crisis is a result of a rumour because there was a clash between a Hausa man and a Yoruba man. I think the Hausa man was injured and some people went to town with the rumour that the injured man died and that was what led to the whole thing and the issue escalated.

“But, contrary to that rumour, no life was lost, and we are still investigating and after a thorough investigation, whoever that is found culpable will be charged to court,” Oyeyemi said

Politics / Tinubu 2023: North Is Not Lagos - Arewa Youths Tell Ganduje by oilPUSSY(f): 2:38pm On Mar 06, 2022
The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, has dismissed claims by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State about the North backing the Presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu.

AYCF National President, Yerima Shettima, said Ganduje was not speaking for the entire North when he backed Tinubu’s Presidential ambition.

Ganduje had said the entire North would back the Presidential ambition of the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Leader.

The Governor had noted that Tinubu supported President Muhammadu Buhari into assuming power; hence the entire North would back his ambition.

However, Shettima, while speaking with DAILY POST, said the North is not Lagos State, “so Ganduje can’t speak for the entire region.”

The AYCF National President accused Ganduje of pushing for their selfish interests.

According to Ganduje: “Ganduje is entitled to his opinion, and probably he is just waking up from his dream. This is an expensive joke, and he knows it’s not true.

“Most of these guys believe that they can wake up and continue doing the same old things as regards politics; they believe that it’s what it was in the past.

“We know what happened and how he survived being a governor of Kano apart from the advantage of the incumbency from the ruling party that came together to work and ensure that they find a soft landing for him to get to where he is.

“So for this, he cannot be said to be speaking for the North. Lagos is different from the North. I wouldn’t blame him because most of them know that they are going into compulsory retirement in politics, so they can go to any length to say something that would ensure they remain to remain politically relevant.

“But you and I know that what he said is not true. We know how he managed the situation during Asiwaju’s birthday in Kano; we know what happened at the State House.
