@ojdollars, God bless you. That's where the problem lies. LUTH couldn't find anything after the scan. I've called few doctor friends I know for recommendations. Still waiting for feedback. I just pray something positive comes out. I think extensive scan is needed, hence the need for more money.

I just called the OP and spoke to his elder brother Wasiu, he told me that they have been to LUTH and did all the scan but yet LUTH found nothing wrong with him. So they were advice to go try a more equipped Hospital in Lagos, my questions is.

1. What is the name of that Specialist hospital where the Late Dr.Adedovoh that fought the Ebola outbreak in our country located? And do they have the capacity for such an ailment?

2. Is there any Doctor on Nairaland who can talk to me about this Man's ailment and suggest any good reputable hospital around where he lives?

Please I'm not here for any type of Political Correctness but to help this guy back on his feet, I don't indulge in blame game either. So I will advice any member who has something meaningful to contribute to do so without bashing, fighting, bullying, accusing others. Nigeria has diverse culture with diverse way of reasoning, so one man's reasoning can be another's conclusion. I'm saying this to say, we are all different and unique in our own ways of expression and communication.

Though very nice of you to do, but please be careful. since you are far away I would advice that you send the money through someone you trust maybe a friend or family member. Then let the person go through the address of the hospital to the ward and physically giving the money to the man after confirming he is the real father and physically seeing the boy in the picture present.

Dear Nairalanders,

There is a matter at stake right now and it urgently begs for your undue attention. The little boys photo's that is uploaded on this thread, is going through a lot of pains. As a father that I am, I understand what this little boy is going through right now.

I know there are a lot of Media Attention to this case, but it doesn't seems to be enough. This is the No.1 forum in Africa and I think we can show the world how united we can be at times like this, when I saw another thread where the news first broke out this morning my time in NY. I swung into action, post a request on the former thread for Omonigho's fathers contact and luckily a Nairalander provided me with the much needed info. I called the Father, who was delighted that I called to show some concern. I did my part and sent him some doe chess, which I don't think is enough.

We went further to continue our conversation on Whatsapp where he sent me this photos, please I'm calling on every Nairalander home and in Diaspora to act now. Whatever we can raise for this child, whatever we can do to make sure this boy is alive and sound. Please let's do it right now, it could happen to anybody. I'm using my iPhone 4 so I can't really type very well on it, but in summary. I'm saying that we need your support, your contribution. Through your prayers, finances, emotional and psychological support. Thank you as you contribute to this thread....

UPDATE On Omonigho: I just called and spoke to Mr.Abraham, Omonigho's father at the Hospital where he is right now. We spoke at length and he thanked me for calling, thanked every other persons who has responded. He also told me that, some people are accusing him of trying to use his son's ailment to raise money for himself. That is son's illness is not that serious, he told me that even though he is poor. That no amount is enough to replace his son in his life, he thanked me profusely and I was move to tears. This goes to show how decayed our system has been for long, this can never happen here in the States. He told me His son is receiving treatment now and is in a stable condition thus so far, that he is going to update me on whatsapp as the treatment continues with every updates he gets from the doctor(s).

I promised to send him Money via Western Union today once the stores are open as it's the early hours of the morning. He prayed for me, he was overwhelmed with joy. Just for the thought of some good and noble citizens of our great country Nigeria who has been calling him all day regarding his sons health, I want to plead with everyone here to help whenever there is a call to help like this. You don't know what may befall you or your love one's tomorrow. I still have family back in Nigeria, I wouldn't want someone else to turn their eyes away in times of need where I can't come through for them.

He is happy because we reached out, I told him where I heard about him from (Nairaland). Thank you Nigerians, thank you Nairalanders for your outstandingly contributions, thank you to all who called whether to offer help or not. I'm grateful on behalf of that little child, I will make sure to play a good role in his life and entire family even after he leaves that Hospital.
