SNEIJDER 2010 Seria A: 4goals and 8assists UCL: 3goals and 6assist World Cup: 5goals and 1assist Seria A winner UCL winner Copa Italia winner MESSI 2010 European Golden Boot UCL Top Scorer Club World Cup top scorer La liga Player of the Year La liga winner Copa Del Rey winner UEFA Super Cup winner Club World Cup winner Spanish Super Cup winner If Sneijder was exceptional and also behind the success of Intermilan and Netherlands, how come he was never voted the best in atleast one of the competition he participated? In 2010, Sneijder did not win UEFA Player of the Year. Milito did. In 2010, Sneijder did not win Seria A Player of the Year. Milito did. In 2010, Sneijder did not win Intermilan Player of the Year. Milito In 2010, Sneijder did not win Golden Ball at the World Cup. Forlan did. LEWANDOSKI 2021 European Golden Boot Broke Muller’s record Bundes liga winner MESSI 2021 Copa America winner Copa Del Rey winner Copa America Player of the Tournament Copa America Top scorer Copa America Top Assist La liga Top scorer Top Assist in La liga You don’t care about Sneijder nor Lewandoski. You are just a typical Ronaldo fanboy working so hard to discredit Messi. If it’s about justice, why did you omit 2013 and even 2014? 2013 was the first time a player was crowned without leading his team to a single trophy. By your logic, Ribery and Neuer should have won 2013 and 2014 respectively…. Guess what? both awards went to Ronaldo |
Ezyp:How dare you accuse me of shifting goal post when it’s obvious you are the guilty one. Let me bring you back to reality cos e be like you test something before you type this piece. First of all, you lied the topic is about Ronaldo not playing in the highest league. Check the headline again….Na Messi move to MLS this thread deh about. Secondly, you tried to score some cheap points by saying Ronaldo was playing in Europe at Messi’s current age….. In a bid to correct your myopic view, i asked you what Ronaldo was doing at 20 & 21 cos at that age Messi was already getting nomination for Balon D’or before he eventually won at 22. You couldn’t come up with a reasonable excuse to counter me then you switched to the clubs they both represented at the time. I countered you again cos Man U was the best in England and one of the top dogs in Europe at the time. It’s hard to engage Ronaldo fanboys cos you guys will never stick to a particular line of argument/discussion. Messi’s move to MLS is justified. He completed football already. The guy no get anything to prove. After winning the World Cup, the guy no get a reason to remain for Europe cos he already cemented his place as the greatest. Ronaldo knows he can’t match Messi achievement that’s why he stayed in Europe longer cos if Messi destroy his goal record, him no go get any bragging right but unfortunately, Messi no need the record cos him don win wetin pass everything Ronaldo get. Check the screenshots below to see how you deh shift goal post
|
Numerouno94:Smart people understand this move is bigger than Al Hilal mega deal cos 35% stake is for a life time. |
Ezyp:My brother shame no fit catch anybody same way shame did not catch Ronaldo fanboys when Messi finally won Copa America and World Cup……troll na part of the game. No take an personal |
Ezyp:I no like one sided comparison. Why you dey compare them at 35? Why didn’t you start from their 20s? And if we go by achievements sef, Messi at 35 dey more successful than Ronaldo. At 35, he won World Cup and was literally the best player in the same competition Ronaldo and other young and hot prospects participated. Why should anyone be ashamed? When Messi dey lose Copa America and World Cup final, were you not among those wey criticize and try so hard to shame us? Even after him win Copa America, una still deh attack the guy. No deh shift goal post to which club both players deh at the time cos Man U was the best club in England and one of the top teams in Europe at the time just like Barcelona…… meanwhile, there’s a clear difference between Ronaldo’s Saudi move and Messi to MLS. Ronaldo wanted to continue in Europe but unfortunately no team was willing to buy. He even sack Jorge Mendes cos the guy no fit get am UCL club to play..….. then he made the move to Al Nasr as there was no option left and the pay was tempting. In Messi’s case, Barcelona wanted him and he was willing to return but financial constraints no let the move go through….. then he made a quick decision and this MLS move has been on the card for some years now. |
Beverlyjean:You don jump from 6 to 7 penalties? Scored 4 same number Harry Kane and Greizmann did in 2018 World Cup but I don’t see you criticizing them |

Your wahala too much sef….. let the guy rest na😂😂 |
SunMusk:Mismanagement and Misappropriation of funds by Bartomeu drowned the club’s finance. It’s ridiculous to pin this on Messi cos he generates more than 50% of his earnings by increasing TV right for Barcelona, Jersey Sale, Tickets and many Endorsement deals Bartomeu wrecked the club 140m to sign Coutinho + high wage 130m+ for Dembele + high wage 120m for Greizmann + high wage 60m+ for Pjanic and many others I can’t begin to mention. Even after Messi left, they still had to sell and loan many players to fit La liga benchmark. In la liga, clubs are not supposed to use more than 70% of their revenue on salaries but under Bartomeu, the club wage bill was almost 120%…..same reason Messi’s exit changed little or nothing |
ThierryJay:When it comes to decision making, leave am for Messi. For years, we’ve been telling them Messi is way smarter than their noise maker and clout chaser but they believe. E don clear for their eyes😂 He will earn from apple, adidas and maybe own a club before or after after retirement And the good thing is, Messi’s move to Inter Miami did not in anyway halt his cash out plan in Saudi. He told them to delay the deal until 2024. This means he can decide to go to Saudi to earn a mouth watering sum after a year or two in MLS |
Padipadi:sure |
Padipadi:Record shows MLS is miles ahead. |
Padipadi:Saudi league is going to be better May never come to pass. Talk about now. |
Beverlyjean:By your logic, Ferguson, Giggs and Scholes won 1 UCL & EPL title cos they won same trophies multiple times So na 1 World Cup almighty Pele win? Messi, Iniesta and Xavi 1 la liga too Aswear, this your analogy is funny😂😂 |
Padipadi:What you don’t know is, Messi only delayed his move but he will still play for Al Hilal. Go and read to full details…you will see where he asked that the move be delayed till 2024. The move to inter Miami didn’t start today or recently. It’s been on for years unless you’ve not been following news. |
Merisbankie:why the insult? Next time, If you can’t debate constructively, no deh quote me cos you deh type trash like someone with zero emotional intelligence. This rubbish you type make any sense to you? Meanwhile, go check the players both countries carried to the World Cup before you type nonsense. |
Ezyp:At 20, Messi was nominated for Balon alongside Kaka and Ronaldo. At 21, he finished second behind Ronaldo. At 22, he won his first Balon D’or. Tell us why Ronaldo was struggling at the age Messi was tormenting the world since na age you wan use. |
Merisbankie:if na Ronaldo you for believe. Did you not read Al hilal 400m offer per year? 400m*2years=800+endorsement |
Merisbankie:Mr no hate, Ronaldo wouldn’t have sacked his agent Jorge Mendes if the guy could get him a club in the champions league |
Padipadi:Go check global league ranking. MLS is far ranked higher. Saudi league is ranked below Spanish Segunda B |
Padipadi:Another excuse that doesn’t make sense What can be more challenging than winning the World Cup for Argentina? If it’s easy, Ronaldo should lead Portugal to the finals. Messi led them to the final twice. Lost one and won the other |
Padipadi:so what was Ronaldo doing when Messi won his first Balon D’or at 22? At 35years, Messi was literally the best player in a World Cup where many hot and young prospect featured. What did your Ronaldo achieve at 35? When Ronaldo was much younger, he was outscored by a 36years old Quagliarella in Seria A. So what special about Ronaldo at 35, 36 and 37? |
Beverlyjean:Ronaldo won more than Messi in Europe? What sort of joke is this? Both in Europe and outside Europe, Team and Individual achievements, Messi pass Ronaldo by far. Number of trophies, Messi pass am Balon D’or, Messi pass am European Golden Boot, Messi pass am MOTM award, Messi pass am La liga Best Player, Messi pass am Intl competition, Messi still pass am |
Beverlyjean:Before his arrival, that “mediocre team” finished second with Cavani, Bruno, and others doing well. Despite operating from flank, Messi still manage to score 16goals and contributed 16 assists. Why did you get your fake stats?
|
Ade1177:Barcelona was his first choice. They can’t afford him. He will still go to Saudi but not this year. Just so you know, this deal with Inter Miami started years ago. |
Ade1177:who cares? The man completed football in December. Meanwhile, he will be 36 next month. Plus which Ronaldo was banging goals at 37? The one that flopped in the just concluded World Cup? Banging goals and no team wanted to sign him in Europe. Why una like dey deceive unasef? |
olatade:What else can Europe offer him that he hasn’t won already? Can Europe offer sharing revenue with apple and profit sharing with addidas? Fgs, he’s a World Cup and multiple UCL winner |
princeade86:did you see “one of the best Football history?” Do you even know how much apple and addidas generates? |
lhordspy:Did you skip the part where he will share revenue with Apple TV and also share profit with Addidas? This guy has just won himself and probably his generation one of the biggest deal in football history. And the deal with Al Hilal is still on the card. He might join them in 2024. Leo is just too smart. He’s trying to use one stone to kill two birds. |
ThierryJay:😂😂😂 |
Numerouno94:no mind em. How far na? |
Wizywiz:No be lie you talk….. lamenting na the antidote to their painment😂 |
Blazebond:make una stop to deh mislead people. Barca couldn’t register his new contract even after he agreed to slash his wages. La liga president Tebas was also not ready to bend the rules yet you blame Messi for leaving. Make him retire because Barca get financial issues? And even after he left, barca still had to loan and sell other high earners like Greizmann, Coutinho and few others but their wage bill was still higher than La liga benchmark. Or you are still not aware, they sold certain rights to be able to sign and register Lewandoski, Raphinha and others? In Spain, you can’t reduce your salary below 50% plus even if Messi decide to play for free, people like you will still accuse him of staying in his comfort zone. I understand you don’t like him but lying will not change the truth. |
