Please I want to ask, if I want to go off grid and in addition to other normal house hold lightings and TV, I want to use 3 AC (one 2HP and two 1.5 HP) will a 60Kw battery and 12kw solar panel be sufficient? The ac will mostly be used during the day when weather is hot and the two 1.5 hp throughout the night. And all other basic household things like water heater, fridge, freezer, microwave also in the house.

For the 2 ACs alone you are looking at 48kwh from 6pm to 6am, am not sure the remaining 12kwh will be sufficient for the rest of your load. However I suggest you start with what you have planned and then you can scale up in future or just turn off the ACs when batteries are running low

I pulled 209AH on that day but had to turned off the inverter manually that day. You can see it from my customized emoncms picture attached (Day Deepest Discharged). The data is from my BMV 702.

I see it's the 24v 250 model and they've written that it's 5kwh usable.....so that means you pulled 5kwh as advertised.... assuming your BMV meter is accurate I will say that's unlike Felicity but that's good of them!

I have a hybrid Gennex 5kva in use now for more than a year. Being used commercially and as I suspect, being abused at my back regularly ( being overloaded with pumping machine/2 ACs until it trips etc). I have timers on the equipment to synchronize use, but it kept being overidden for one reason or another.
So, I am already looking for a not too expensive replacement in case. Moreover, i need a backup as least but Deye is out of my pocket range now.

What will be your choice as per capacity, capability and costs between:
1) Gennex
2) Epever
3) Sorotec
4) Growat

By the way, my solar panels (12 pieces , 300w, Canadian solar) are configured for a high voltage cc (450v max input) and I will prefer not to change that if possible.

I saw @ Earthrealm suggestion and I want to know people's view if cost of acquisition is also factored in.

Growatt will top the list for me then the rest. I love the epever interface but I have no usage experience. For hybrids it will be this order for me:

Deye
Growatt
Epever
Axperts variants(MPP, gennex, etc)
Sorotec

I have only experienced the ones in bold. If I have the budget it will always be Deye for me, that machine is simply value for money

If the cells are DIY you can easily turn it to a 48v configuration but yes you will need to get a 48v inverter.

Yes you can that said, unless you have multiple charging source 500ah 24v may not get full daily from a single solar charging source. You should consider upgrading to 48v in future...... unless you don't deplete the battery much

Please can one parallel new and old LiFePo4 batteries banks? I'm considering buying same model/specification Felicity LiFepo4 bank to parallel with my old unit. Do I need to do some sort of balancing before installing the new module considering the fact the old bank is more than 1 year old in operation and firing.

If your CC voc is 145v, you likely can't get away with 3s of 320w panel of you're on 24v system. 2s will be your best bet.

In fact, the CC (if it is one with good protection) will not output power from the 3s to charge the batteries once it has already registered the 24v battery source in its system.

A 48v system is one which will allow your CC tolerate a 3s config of 320w panel.

Traced back the quotes to find that his system is 24v with CC of max 100v @24v. If that is the case then he certainly should not try 3s. My apologies

The key thing to watch out for is the voc of your charge controller. That is the highest input voltage it can take from a pv. You need to ensure that whatever string you go for, the string voc must never come close to or exceed that of the cc.

145v doesn't give you much room, and for some of this Chinese controllers you don't want to go near their limits hence the reason for a 2 in series string and then parallel the 3 strings. I am putting this here so that those reading would understand the logic behind the 2S3P recommendation.

It's the same logic that I actually used to recommend 3s2p as well....since he has a 300w panel, he very much within the safe zone. If it was above 360w then I would have recommended 2s as well. The extra advantage he will gets from a 3s is that CC will wake up earlier and shutdown much later which will translate to more hervest (no matter how small)
As to DC to DC conversion the higher Voc strikes me as the more efficient one in that regard. Overall 3s appeals to me more sha and it's what I will do if I was in his shoes

Run 3 panels in series to form a string which will give you 120v+ and then run the 2 strings in parallel

I'm guessing the max PV input for ur CC @24v 60a should be 100v 1440w according to spec sheets, since u have 6pcs 300w panels which VOC should max out at 40v, u can only do 2pcs in series and 3pcs in parallel to give credence to ur original idea of 2s3p just as @valto has also confirmed.

I think he can do 3s2p that should be more Optimal for him.
