chris81964: I added a PV inverter to my system. I am shocked at the relative ease with which it was done. I know a few within the group have done the Victron and Fronius set up. This was much easier and rewarding.
Thanks for sharing, so this allows to integrate extra PV/grid capacity to existing Deye right? Nice one especially for 5kw Deye users who wants capacity beyond 6kw. Does it for instance mean a 5kw Deye will then be able to take load of 5kw+capacity of the PV inverter?
toluxa1: Guys, I will like to know if some of the veterans here and those who have had running systems with Lithium battery up for a while, have actually done cost analysis of your system in relation to cost of grid? Like Ikejaelectricity tarrif I believe is about N30 per KWh or there about. Is it possible to both generate and store power from solar at such low rate? Or is the advantage only in the constant electricity derived? I did some rough calculations for an off-grid system and it appears even in 10 Years I might not break even compared to paying PHCN.
I will like to know if this is actually correct since I started using Deye(5 months ago or so) I have done about 320KWh consumption on grid and 1.2MWh on battery and 2.1MWh solar generation. I will say grid is cheaper in that case except that I don't get useful grid all the time
sethtsadopp: Hello Guys. I'm kinda new here and I need guidance. I have been researching on solar systems and I will like to know if a system like this will be adequate to serve efficiently a 5 Bedroom Terrace.
51.2V200AH wall mounted type LiFePO4 battery 10KWh Constant 100A discharge current. And how many Solar panels of say 300w will be enough for this? Will 12 Panels be OK?
It all depends on your load so give us an idea of your cumulative load in watts. 12 panels should get it full daily l but depends on the load consumption.
Edit: can see more detailed justice has been done to the question already
earthrealm: hahahahahaha, steep roof and you say 15 to 20 degrees??. naaah, most roofs are as from 40deg in nigeria...if steep then about 60 degrees. reconfirm that inclination, that may likely be the issue
Yes indeed, I am painfully watching my sunfit compete (and mostly) outperform my prime just because I have the prime on a steep roof for now.
