Let me delve into the politics of Abia as someone who grew up in the state and in the known. Abia state is typically divided into two divisions: The Aba Ngwa and Old Bende axis.

Now let us go into the power play since the creation of Abia. The first civilian governor of Abia till the later;
* Ogbonnaya Onu - Old Bende region
* Orji Uzor Kalu - Old Bende region (Abia North)
* T.A Orji - Old Bende region (Abia Central)
* Okezie Ikpeazu - Aba Ngwa region (Abia South)
* Oti Chioma - ancestry is from Old Bende region but choose to live among Ngwas in Abia Central.

Worthy of note is that Abia central is made up of both old Bende and Ngwa extractions and in this mixture...the Old Bende have taken their slot.

In all sincerity, what is wrong if Okezie Ikpeazu chooses to return the governorship slot to Abia central wherein the Ngwa extraction take it so as to be duly represented?

From the above presentation where did the Ngwa people became greed and clannish?

Who are those more represented in the State since its creation wherein old Bende have produced 3 governors, Otti making it 4 while Ngwas have produced 1 governor?

Is Nigeria rulership wherein the North with nothing to contribute to this entity wants to take it all and still the less developed not typically displayed in Abia State?

I have been reading through other people's contributions and found out your are a man full of prejuice. Juxtapose your shameless comments about a tribe in Igboland with how other ethnicity percieves Igbo's. You want Biafra, see your mouth full of venoms against a tribe of your own. Same way you don't want an Aba state, Biafra will continue to suffer sabotage. With people of your mentality, I won't be suprise, if tomorrow an Ngwa person states that they are not Igbo's like an average Onitsha man will call you (Nwa ndi Igbo). Moreover, most Ngwas that I have encountered claim ancestry to Omuma people in Rivers State and of Akwa-ibom extraction.

When they speak of Igbos that are draft, insulting and bags of evil, with your speech pattern one can deduce that people from your side of Igbo are powerful delegates and representatives.

State your fear clearly, that what makes Abia a revenue generating state is predominately from Ngwa extraction; if the should leave Old Bende will be a carcass of lost glory. I am in the state and involved in high level matters, so I know what I am saying.

Men like you needs to be guage.

PS: Both late VC and Okey is good - The persons OVi who is from Abia South presented as Governorship candidates is not of the same senatorial zones or Local Government with him rather both are from Abia Central and Isialangwa axis.

Afikpo and Abakaliki have always had commonality.

Both Afikpo and Abakaliki were part of Ogoja province with capital in Abakaliki (Ogoja, Afikpo, Abakaliki, Abam, Ugep, Obudu, etc), Afikpo and Abakaliki are the Igbo traditions observing parts so were thus reunited after they were separated into Imo and Anambra states because history had it that Afikpo migrated from Aro and Abakaliki progenitor (Ekumenyi) also migrated from Aro.

So Afikpo and Abakaliki commonality is Aro ancestry.

In the hay days of Biafra, Ojukwu issued fraudulent bonds that had Nigeria's Central Bank seal and high placing officials signatory to it.

Now why will Ojukwu issue fake bonds that are redeemable by the defunct Eastern Nigeria while he was HoS of Biafra ?

Ojukwu issued those bonds deliberately in the name of both Nigeria and Eastern Nigeria because Ojukwu had plans to retake Nigeria and become it's soverign HoS.

This position by Ojukwu is still exposed by all biafran protagonist today and we saw it with how they all dropped their Gucci flag for the Nigerian flag when Obi declared his intention to contest.

I have come to see Biafra as a fraud and more like a means to secure power at the centre for the Ibos.

Etiti was an afterthought in 2006 when Athur Nzeribe wanted Orashi State excluding most of the 12 local government areas in Orlu zone.

Etiti State is like pulling diverse local government areas that have nothing in common except Igbo language, a disaster waiting if created.

What will you use to fund Etiti State? Proceeds from crude oil and gas deposits in Orlu zone of 12 local government areas which merits the 6th state?
Above all, there is hardly any mineral resources or notable business venture in the whole of the area Etiti State is proposed by a few new legislators.
The whole area of Etiti is the least populated area of Igbo land.

It doesn't dispute the fact Ebonyi lacked basic amenities under Regional Government and we don't want to go back.

The development of our region will be stunted as before under a regional government.

Hospitals, roads, flyovers, airport, schools, malls, water supply, bridges, international markets, etc were not in Ebonyi under Regional Government.

If we return, FAAC or federal allocation of Ebonyi will be used to develop Enugu and Onitsha and leaving us to rot just like before.

This relationship, marked by mistrust and division, raises a broader question: who will champion the cause of the Ngwa people and bring an end to this untenable arrangement? It is evident that a resolution is needed, one that either allows for peaceful coexistence or paves the way for the realization of the Ngwa people's dream of building their own independent state.
