Politics is very rural, rural sentiment plays a big part in Edo election, he tried in paying salary and also in HDI, but when erosion and bad road is killing people everyday in their numbers all over the state that is the only thing the people will think about.

Edo state probably have the worst road in Nigeria, at least of all the states in Nigeria I have travelled to, forget your HDI thing, the locals are not seeing it because more of them don't come to Nairaland.

Benin to Auchi is about 100 k/m apart in distance but it will take you more than 5 hours to travel between the 2 places, the 3 route are so terrible, people pass that road in pain for years and it was never attended to, that only show sign of wickedness just like how the drivers always put it.
