VP Osinbajo joined President Muhammadu Buhari on the 2nd of July as he swore in board members of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) and the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) at the Council Chambers, State House Abuja. Another fruitful week in the life of our Vice president. A consummate professional dedicated to solving problems of the everyday Nigerians. |
As eloquently stated in the write up, criticism is a pillar of democracy but bland insinuations, insults and all other forms of non constructive criticisms only serve to cause divide in our already splintered polity along religious and ethnic lines. |
Whenever debates like this come up, it clearly exposes the lack of education we have across board. Many are literates but aren't educated and it's just sad to see how we bicker along tribal and religious lines without recourse to competency, experience dedication and self sacrifice. Nigerians want a magic wand but apparently what they deserve is cane. |
Osinbajo as head of the National Economic Council rightly belongs in that meeting. Faster headway would be made surely |
A cursory search through nairaland would reveal certain persons still asking for the whereabouts of the vice president It would be easy to dismiss these but some of might actually need to know and as such below would be some of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo's official activities for last week. On the 23rd of June, VP Osinbajo presided over a meeting of the National Single Window Trading Platform Committee (NSWTP), with some ministers including the Minister of Finance, Industry, MDA heads, Customs & NPA. The meeting was centered on reviewing the plan to have a Single Window platform for all importing & exporting processes in the country. On the following day, Wednesday the 24th of June, VP Osinbajo partook of the Virtual Federal Executive Council (vFEC) meeting, presided over by President Buhari, in which the Economic Sustainability Plan of the Economic Sustainability Committee chaired by the VP was approved. On the 25th of June, the National Economic Council meeting couldn't meet as VP Osinbajo and other governors attended the All Progressives Congress (APC) virtual National Executive Council (vNEC) meeting where the President urged all Waring parties to sheath their swords and drop all suits against party members. Week in week out, the Vice President is hard at work to ensure the improvement of the quality of livelihood of the average Nigerian with such dedication that should be emulated by all politicians. |
cosef:So all of a sudden it's no longer about competence? Do bear in mind that his polling unit is dominated by the oligarchs he's abandoned to favor the masses but then again it's always post shifting with lesser minds |
Noel19:I'm all for emancipation and all, but really, from bode George? Really? It's often said not to kill the messenger but if y'all are truly after freedom, y'all should pack bode alongside those you need to be unshackled from |
It's said that is better to remain silent and be thought ignorant than to open the mouth and let it be confirmed. Hopefully the OP has learned about the achievements of the VP in the last 5 years though I doubt it, such persons have allowed envy and beef cloud their reasoning but I hope others would use this as an opportunity to research further and ask more intelligent questions. |
There's a couple of mispelt words in the topic. OP should take note in the future |
Highly commendable |
As expected, nowb we await the expected stimulus to jumpstart the economy. |
If there's still people out who still think like this op, then verily ain't nothing anyone can do to eradicate foolishness. It shall forever be with some |
The naysayers would never hop on this bandwagon... Too many positives for them to get a trackhold... |
Banmeallday:Were the zoom meeting to be opened, your data go fit carry am? |
There's something about great father's that automatically makes them great leaders, my first guess would be the long hours spent listening instead of harking orders. And this trait is very visible in both former president Obama, and vice president yemi Osinbajo. Whenever they make time out of their busy schedule for a family photo op you can always feel the warmth of the family connection past the father provider master subject, that some of our other leaders tend to project. On the occasion of father's Day, I'll drop a few quotes from both to inspire some father's out there to do even better than they were doing prior. After all from the lips of these two had many words of wisdom come forth. #don'tleaveme

Having gone from a rudderless ship meandering on the oxbow lake of confusion to a cruise ship that's witnessed consistent economic growth quarter on quarter all due to the leadership of professor Osinbajo, the future looks bright. |
On the one hand the same persons who claim her isn't working are the same ones trying to ridicule his floating achievements. Clearly the naysayers have had a chance to go through the economic sustainability policies and need to twist as much as possible their least vestages of readable ink before they drown in ignominy along with their online president MNK and FFK |
calberian:And yet you lack for bread to eat at home... C'est terrible |
As explained by the SGF, the fight against covid is now on an individual basis. This is another aspect of government entrusting that common sense on the people |
These type of post leaves you wondering how exactly it is that one can enlighten the doomed and really there no way... What's dead may never die... RIP NNAMDI KANU |
Kanu sef still dey? Issokay |
Despite the effects of corona we have still managed to thread above water whilst many other developed countries are suffering hardships. |
For those that resisted the urge to comment after the headline and read the article, I salute you. On your shoulders lies the hope of a better Nigeria as for the others your education is a waste... And Nigeria will come out of the covid era stronger as this is another opportunity for development. |
The friends of Osinbajo just gave out 1million to 100 businesses. Had we allowed the Chinaman and his custom boss in, their friends would have all taken hundreds of millions of our common wealth for personal enrichment. Drown in hated but float in wisdom.

Find you a man delight in his ways he shall not sit before mere men. |
All those who have a problem with this article can find their own way out... |
Another opportunity for seamless transactions in the commodity market. Kudos to everyone involved. |
As Nigerians begin to approach a level of normalcy after the griping effects of the corona virus and the lockdown rules are getting more lax, more and more persons are returning to work. One man who's been working continuously and tirelessly especially as regards sustaining the Nigerian economy is the Vice President and here's a recap of Proof Yemi Osinbajo's activities for last week: Monday June 1st 2020: VP Osinbajo met with Presidency's Govt and Anti-corruption Reforms Tech Unit on how to achieve better results. Tuesday June 2nd 2020: Received virtually the UNFPA Country Representative, Uller Muller. Wednesday June 3rd 2020: The VP alongside with President Muhammadu Buhari, attended vFEC meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Thursday June 4th 2020: VP Osinbajo led members of the Economic Sustainability Committee in an interactive session with the National Assembly leadership on draft Sustainability Plan, ahead of submission to the President. Friday June 5th 2020: The VP presided over the weekly meeting of the Presidential Power Reform Working Group. All of this continues from where he left off in the month of May. This fastidiousness is the confidence we have that soon the impact of the Power sector reform committee would be felt as well.
