Politics / Re: Petrol Landing Cost Hits N1,000/litre On FX Crisis by Ojuntana: 1:07am On Feb 15
nairalanda1:
If one has been following this thing for as long as I have, you would see that we are paying a subsidy.

1.APC apologists cry that fuel is not being subsidised...well it is. Landing cost was N720 as at October, now it is N1000..meaning subsidy costs rose from N20-140 to N300-420 per liter today. We are pushing ourselves into more debt so see where we are

2.IN 2012 january, landing cost was N99 per liter, now it is N1000. Fuel price was N97 per liter now it is N580-720.

Assuming Nigeria kept fuel at N97 per liter as some PDP apologists wanted , by now subsidy would have risen from N2 per liter to N920 per liter ...and note that fuel consumption has risen over the years.

We would have a debt that would make our current debt look like the pocket money you give your 10 year old.

See how much subsidy costs? But all of you, be it PDP or APC or LP, many of you want it.

Oya, come and get your fuel at N97....lol.

Mumu! Whose fault is it that states are earning less? Whose fault it is that states are unproductivity and didn't do anything to makes themselves revenue generator? Whose fault is it that most states government rendered themselves to be simply FAAC collectors and salary payers? - since 1999.

We're talking about systematic degradation that started 25 years ago which these states brought upon themselves. Heck, even before subsidy removal and devaluation majority of these states don't even pay salaries and pensions. We've seen states paying workers a percentage of they are owned and you are here saying trash.

Dolt! Dunderhead! Get far away from here, id!ot.

Do you think the USA is all she is because her FG is the only action taker when it comes building economy?

Folks like you are only paper smart and incapable of think beyond your nose. Before devaluation, I ask again, what has states done with their FAAC since 1999 until now? What has states done with the almost 50% of the nation's revenue allocated to them for the past 25 years?

If you can't answer don't f mention me again. Abirun!
Arindin
You have not told me what FG did with the money they got since 1999? You are asking for 48% when 52% is still missing. How that does not make you sound silly I don't know.
Bla bla bla degradation. Most of our economic troubles now are federal issues not state.
Inflation, exchange rate and low revenue are federal issues yet you're obsessed with states

Very good.

As you have said you don't want peace. Emilokan Asiwaju Tinubu will now watch as you fight to finish and destroy your state. Thereafter, he will declare a state of Emergency and dissolve all democratic structures in the state. Then, he will appoint Rtd Major General Audu Abdullahi or Rtd Rear Admiral Adewale Ogunyemi as Sole Administrator.

Then, everybody's eyes go clear.
Removing govs via state of emergency has already been declared illegal by the courts

You're right! Islam is pure and pristine!
Muslims ain't!

Christianity doesn't exist during the life of Christ and is a creation of Paul and Rome!
My family nor be islamists na
So how can they be terrorists

So if there are no pure and pristine Muslims, who are those practicing the pure and pristine Islam?

Christianity is the life of Christ. So saying Christianiyt did not exist during the life of Christ is saying Christ did not exist. It is just like saying Islam did not exist during the life of Muhammad. Anyway, Muhammad did not start Islam according to you people. It existed before him. He only came and personalised it.

Car Talk / Re: A Friend Borrowed My Car And Brought It Back Like This by Ojuntana: 12:33pm On Jan 23
Spark2:
Good day NL.
A friend of mine borrowed my car few days ago to help ease movement for him. I happily gave him the car because I understood the need he had.

For precautionary reasons, I don't let my fuel get below quarter tank. Each time it gets there, i ensure I top it up.

When I gave this guy my key, I told him clearly to ensure he adds enough fuel as he's leaving my place and not to allow the fuel guage gets below quarter.

My car spent some days with him. he brought back the car and complained that my car has stopped on the way several times and each time it stops, he'd have to buy a little fuel and add before it moves.

Second, he brought back the car with scratches on my front bumper. I learned from someone that he had moved on terrible roads with the car. I was told he went to places that other people had parked because their vehicles can't enter.

I asked how much fuel he bought and he told me he bought a few litres of fuel. This got me furious because this is a journey that if I am to go, I'd have to buy over 40L of fuel.

Third, he brought it back with a faulty fuel gauge, my fuel gauge has never been faulty since I bought my car. It was not possible for me to know the fuel level at the time he returned the car.

I had to go fix my car because I had a need to go somewhere with it. My mechanic opened to tank to check why the car was stopping as well as the fuel gauge. To my surprise, my tank was terribly empty. It was dry.

I had to buy so much fuel as well as fix the fuse of the fuel gauge. As for the scratches, I will have to leave them like that. The funny thing is that my friend cannot even tell me he is sorry.

I have resolved in my mind, I WILL NEVER GIVE ANYBODY MY CAR AGAIN. NO.
ITS ONLY ME THAT CAN TAKE CARE OF MY CAR. I AM THE ONE MAINTAINING IT AND I KNOW EHERE IT PAINS.

what do you think about this?
Do you give out your car to your friends to use especially in this hard economy where fuel, maintenance and cost of parts are on the high side.
Where is the picture of your car or you just dey find village meeting

Politics / Re: Arewa Youths Threaten Protest Over CBN, FAAN Relocation To Lagos by Ojuntana: 11:51am On Jan 23
Nigeria is not a country. It is a geographical expression where the central theme for every issue is location.

APC is so steeped in tribal and sectional politics that even among themselves they are fighting for sectional superiority. In the so-called handshake, it is always a big matter which hand is up and which is down.

Siting of federal agencies is now a question of which cap is on the head of the present landlord of aso Rock. APC needs to be removed far from our national life

And did I just see marginalisation in the press statement? grin cheesy grin Arewa is now IP. OB

Awolowo's words readily comes to mind:
Nigeria is not a country the way you have other countries exist. It is a geographical expression.

That's why the location of federal agencies have become a burning national issue.

Keyamo is playing primordial politics. While Sirika was a serial buffoon to have moved the agency to Abuja, Keyamo has shown he's worse than Sirika by moving the agency back to Lagos in a bid to secure cheap political capital from APC Internet army who are basically domiciled in Lagos.

The location of a federal agency should not matter in the jet age if it does not transgress any laws.

All in all, it shows how APC is built as a party of ethnic and sectional sentiments that folks within same party are trading blows over mundane issues like siting of federal agencies while real governance takes a back seat.

Seylad2009:
Most of you fighting on behalf of lucky doesn't know what loyalty means. Lucky was a selfish and power intoxicated person that couldn't stand by his principal in his painful last day on earth. This can be attest to his swearing-in speech on the same day his boss died, which he started by "A ku orire o" (meaning: Congratulations to us). Congratulations that someone that picked you out of nowhere in his second term suffer and died. No sympathy whatsoever.
Karma awaits him.

While I agree with you that it's in bad taste to have said congratulations to his supporters on taking office after the demise of his boss, the problem is that the word loyalty has been serially abused by Africans and Nigerians in particular.
In our part of the world, loyalty seems to take a meaning of losing your senses and saying yes to everything. Loyalty also involves speaking the truth and doing things right.
While you're blaming lucky, what about those who under the guise of loyalty took advantage of the situation to forge signatures and siphon funds? Are they truly loyal to the boss or to their personal interests?
We should know where to draw the line between right and wrong under the guise of loyalty to the detriment of the general good
