In the Suit FHC/WAR/CS/38/2016 fixed for hearing 21st April 2016, Goodluck Oreko and five other plaintiffs are asking the court for an injunction restraining the IG and his subordinates” from harassing, intimidating and/or arresting the Plaintiffs based on the complaint of Mark John Ighwasi”, one of the suspects connected with the murder of Samson Ogidigbo in the community on 30th June 2015. In the affidavit in support of the motion, the plaintiffs inferred that since reporting the murder of Samson and impressing on the police to investigate the suspects for which one Wisdom Atuliwa is now under trial, Ighwasi has written false petitions to the AIG Zone 5 Benin against the plaintiffs and others assisting Paul Ogidigbo to get justice over his murdered brother. “Ighwasi allegation is false and so found out by the police during the interviews of 23/12/15 at the Zone 5. This doesn’t come as much of a shocker taking into account the Two Igbo students who broke records by gaining admissions into 8 Ivy League Schools. The students, Harold Ekeh scored 2270 out of 2400 on his SATs while Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna scored a 101.6 GPA. 17-year-old Harold Ekeh is a senior student at the Elmont Memorial High School in Long Island while Augusta Uwamanzu- Nna is a high-school student from Long Island, New York. The 8 schools offering the admissions include: Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania and Yale University. The report reads: “A search through the promotional materials of school for a black student – all schools and colleges would always show some black faces in their promotional materials if they have any – reveals that they have had at least one black student, and it was, unsurprisingly, a Nigerian Igbo.” According to two online news portal, NBC News and MSN, the two teenagers are faced with “a big decision to make soon.” as Harold Ekeh has 13 admission offer from universities, 8 of which are Ivy League schools which according to NBC makes the choice-making decision harder than usual. The road leading to Ezeemo's farm being alsphalted by Ezeemo._1 “We chose corn for this land because the land has been fallow for over 15 years and that is why we started constructing the 3km road down to this place. We are tarring the road so that vehicles can pass through this place when it rains” he said. According to him part of the reason for the establishing and expanding of his farm was to put his own quota in assisting governments to realize its agricultural agenda . He said that the farm would enhance the food security, human capital development , increase in internally generated revenue and poverty reduction among the citizens c. He said that agriculture remains a remedy to youth unemployment in the country as when well harnessed in the country would create jobs more than the oil sector also attracts further investment by local and international investors . By lifting sanctions, this enabled Iran’s theocratic rulers to increase their ability to advance further into Iraq, since the international community is removing the sanctions, and Iran is keeping its nuclear program, this making Shia Iran the major competitor for leadership in the Muslim world after Turkey, while beating Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies who fear Iran’s influence among their own Shia populations. Tehran, shortly will lead to Iran supplanting Saudi Arabia as America’s main ally in the Persian Gulf ensuring Iran to remain in conflict with Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia, the richest Sunni power and birthplace of Islam is now in check. Instead of peace, we will soon see Iran’s advance, increasing further in the series of interventions in conflicts that have ratcheted up sectarian tensions, from Syria to Iraq to Yemen. This will continue to paint Saudi Arabia’s regime as a Zionist sympathizer and will further isolate it from its neighbors. In fact, all what Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu asked for is to stop the “sectarian-driven policies” in the region. This is no balance, but will catapult the two greatest powers in the region, Turkey and Iran to work things out, unite and become the leaders of the Muslim World. Neither Turkey or Iran want a confrontation with each other and both have gas deals including an interest to undo Sykes Picot to re-divide the region. It is here, the alliance between Iran and Turkey, where the Bible comes in. Turkey (Meshech and Tubal) and Iran (Persia) will unite as predicted in Ezekiel 38. It can’t get any clearer than this, which is destroyed by none other than Iran “Elam” in a complete wipeout. Which brings me to my second challenge to the world of doubting Thomases. When it comes to the destruction of end-days Babylon “Babylon is fallen is fallen”, how come Scripture makes no mention of any of the ancient Babylonian cities: Nineveh, Ur, Babel, Erech, Accad, Sumer, Assur, Calneh, Mari, Karana, Ellpi, Eridu, Kish, or Tikrit? Ajinikirun, in whose house fetish items and several dry bones, including one suspected to be the lower jaw of a human being, were found, also disclosed that he combined his Islamic cleric job with that of a native doctor because the latter was his forefathers’ mode of worship. The state Commissioner of Police had told Crime Reports that Ajinikirun belonged to a syndicate of fraudsters and had relocated from Itire, Lagos State to Ibadan. Part of his antics, Oyebade said, was the use of a fake idol known as Osanyin which he cleverly crafted using batteries. His arrest, it was learnt, was a follow-up on the confession of the fake doctor who told the police that it was Ajinikirun who introduced oil and gas business to her; and that he had collected the sum of N48.5million from her, made up of her own money and that of other clients. But Ajinikirun denied the allegations, saying that the only amount he collected from Mrs Ojo was about N700,000 which she paid for the jobs he did for her. According to the suspect, “I am an Islamic cleric. I pray for clients and do some jobs for them. The fetish items found with me were those that I inherited from my forefathers. I combine tradition with religion. I was surprised when I was arrested over Damilola’s claim that I collected N48.5 million from her. It is true that I know her. Someone took me to her to settle a matter between her and another Aafa. “Along the line, she asked me to do some prayers concerning her hospital and the chemist shop she had so that the businesses could get a boost. She also said she was pregnant but that it was not being detected by scan. She said she had been advised to seek help in the traditional way. “The only time I heard about the oil and gas business was October 2015 when she told me that the person from whom she collected N22 million was troubling her that she should take him to the people in charge of the business. “She also said that the people she was doing the business with had said she should not bring him, so that he would not take her place in the business. I knew she was lying because I didn’t understand how she could have taken so much from someone for business without showing him those using the money for the business. “What she wanted me to do for her then was a charm that would make the person not to ask for his money again. Meanwhile, I had been hinted that she was fraudulent. I didn’t collect a kobo from for any oil and gas business. But I collected up to N700,000 for the prayers and others jobs I did for her.” When asked about the fetish objects which were recovered in his house, including idols popularly called Osanyin in Yoruba, Ajinikirun replied: “Many people know me as an Aafa; I also know myself as one. There is no idol among the objects. The Osanyin is an ordinary artwork to deceive people. The small coffin was used to keep charmed soap. The effigy is for authority while praying.”

In continuation of CAFÉ Housing for Indigent Widows project, a programme of her NGO, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFÉ), the wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano on March 30, 2016 fulfilled her promise to a late widow, Late Mrs. Chidili Igboamalu with the Commissioning and handover of a 2-bedroom bungalow at Isioye Village Umunya, Oyi Local Government Area, Anambra State. Another indigent widow, Mrs. Nneuwa Nwajideofor was rewarded with a house same day at Enugwu Otu Aguleri in Anambra East Local Government Areas as well as Mrs. Maureen Ekesiobi in Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area. Other beneficiaries were Mrs. Chinyeaka Okeke in Amichi, Nnewi South, and Mrs. Margaret Anoyou of Amorka, Ihiala Local Government Area. The Umunya beneficiary, Late Mrs. Chidili Igboamalu was reportedly excited and full of praises to God when the Wife of the Governor came to her rescue in October 2015 but suddenly passed on in December last year shortly before she was billed to receive the keys and move into her new home. However, the governor’s wife still kept her word by handing over keys to the completed house to daughter of the deceased, Miss blessing Igboamalu who sang praises with overflowing tears of joy for promise fulfilled to the admiration of all and commendations for Mrs. Obiano for the charitable act by neighbours. The wife of the governor lamented the death of the beneficiary whom she regretted she never me but was shocked to hear that she passed-on. She recalled her resolve to complete the project and hand it over to one of the daughters and her sense of accomplishment that the handover was taking place. Mrs. Obiano told Umunya people that CAFÉ is determined to support the efforts of the governor by empowering women and youths with a view to reducing unemployment. Explaining the unique idea of building a house and a borehole, Mrs. Obiano said that whereas the beneficiary widow takes possession of the house, she is able to access water from the borehole but the water source is extended to serve members of the community. According to the Governor’s wife, a women leader is charged with the task of managing and maintaining each borehole for a period of two after which the management is transferred to another woman thus serving as a source of empowerment. So far about ten boreholes have been built and commissioned alongside the houses while more are still under construction across the state. She outlined some of the things CAFÉ has done in the past two years to provide succor to various women and needy groups. These include; Housing for indigent widows in each Senatorial Zone, new skills and empowerment training for over 2000 women, prosthetic limbs and Wheel chairs for 800 persons; free cleft lip/cleft palate surgeries, the rescue and care for mentally challenged and the building of Toilets in our rural Markets amongst other programmes. All these charity projects by CAFÉ, she said were made possible with donations and the support of philanthropists. Commending the wife of the governor for the wonderful gesture, Member Representing Oyi in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Mrs. Vivian Okadigbo, called on the people of the community to support the working governor of Anambra State for his development programmes, and the wife, for touching lives of Ndi Anambra at all levels through laudable charitable programmes like the free house for indigent widows. It was a carnival of sorts when Mrs. Obiano and her entourage arrived at Enugwu Otu, Aguleri border community in Anambra East Local Government Area to commission the house built for the widow and a water borehole for the community. As expected the excited residents trooped out in large numbers to welcome her with joy, drumming and dancing calling her by her traditional title “Osodieme” which means one that does good like the husband. Many expressed appreciation that she remembered a member of the community by building a house free for her and also took the pains to visit them in the remotest part of the State. Addressing the people, the wife of the governor told them that she is aware that the new road and bridge connecting the community and the rest of the state will soon be commissioned since work on it had reached advanced stage. Said she: “When I came here the first time over two years ago during the election campaign, I crossed-over with canoe and rode on bike but today I am glad that we came by road because our Governor has fulfilled his election promise to the people. I also made observations then about your condition of living that is why we are assisting with a house for the widow and borehole for the community.” Mrs. Obiano urged the people not to relent in their support for the governor since more development will be channeled to the community in the future. She also called on the women to show interest in what is happening especially in her office where they can register to be trained in various skills after which they will be empowered with materials to practice the trade. In his thank you message, the traditional ruler, Mkpunando Otu Aguleri, Igwe Alex Edoziuno, thanked Governor Obiano for constructing a bridge and the road that will link the community with the rest of the state. He equally commended the governor’s wife for supporting the governor by taking care of women and the less privileged, and assured that they will be firm in their support of the governor and his government. In another rare display of compassion Mrs. Obiano commissioned a 2-bedroom bungalow built for Mr. & Mrs. Nwoye Ekesiobi at Ifite Village, Ogbunike in Oyi Local Government Area. Before the intervention of the governor’s wife through CAFE, the couple lived under a leaky mud house with thatched roofing with six young children none of whom could attend school because the man had grown frail and unable to fend for their upkeep. Thankfully today, apart from handing over keys to the beautiful house to them, the governor’s wife promised that CAFÉ will take care of funding the education of the children. Handing over the keys to the Amichi house to a very emotional Mrs. Chinyeaka Okeke who shed tears of joy, the wife of the Governor told the crowd gathered that CAFÉ Housing for Indigent widows’ project is not influenced or done on the basis of political party affiliation or close associates. According to Mrs. Obiano, “I am meeting the beneficiary for the first time today just to hand over the keys to her house so that she can live better with her children. The house is free and there are no strings attached.” In her reaction, Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Barrister Rita Maduagwu, said “I am so thrilled that this is happening in my Constituency, Nnewi South. I haven’t seen a Governor’s who seeks out indigent widows to build house for them without even knowing who they are. Mrs Obiano is a blessing to her husband and Anambra State. She is Osodieme in action and deeds, and I pray for God to continue to protect and guide them.” Also at Umuokpara Village, Amorka, Ihiala Local Government Area, Mrs. Obiano told the community that she came to ensure that the widow and her children finally had a befitting house to live in. Hear her: “We came to Amorka to display the love we have for our state and people. It is a thing of joy that our Governor who recently marked two years in office is being compared with others who have spent longer time in office. It is a confirmation that he is doing a good job. I believe that when God elevates you, He expects you to touch lives whether you are in Government or not.” On her part the beneficiary, Mrs. Margaret Anoyou, was full of thanks and praises as she received the keys to her new home. An equally astonished neighbor, Mr. Edmund Okeke could not hold back his surprise. Hear him: “I came here to observe and confirm that this is indeed true. I am transfixed in awe at such a stroke of good fortune for a woman who had lost all hope only to be approached with such a gift with no strings attached. Shocking details of how 2 Persons were Murdered, 40 Houses Razed, as 2 Communities Clash over Mango in Edo A clash between Uneme- Ekpedo and Bekuma-Okpameri communities in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State over mango has reportedly left two people dead. Trouble was said to have started on Wednesday, when one out of four people from Uneme- Ekpedo community, who had gone to the bush to pluck mangoes, was killed by persons sus-pected to be members of Bekuma-Opkamere after an attack. Consequently, youths from Uneme-Ekpedo community were said to have mobilised and attacked Bekuma-Okpa¬meri, setting houses on fire and attacking residents. It was learnt that over 40 houses, including the palace of the Oba of Bekuma-Okpameri, HRH Oba Moses Alabi, were set on fire, while scores of people, who were wounded are now receiving medical treatment at hospitals. Witnesses said, following the clash, residents of Bekuma-Okpameri have fled their community and are now camped at a makeshift for Internally Displaced Person (IDP) in Lampese in the same local government. “As I’m talking to you now, there is nobody in Bekuma-Okpameri. It was unbelievable. The youths have completely sacked the community and resi¬dents are now camped in Lampese,” a member of a fact-finding team sent to the communities said. Fuel Scarcity: For The First Time In History, Nigerians Mark Good Friday At Filling Stations The ongoing nationwide fuel scarcity seems to have become worsened as many Nigerians marked the Good Friday at filling stations trying to buy petrol. Christians all over the country celebrated the Passion of Christ, also known as Good Friday, yesterday. In many parts of the country, long queues of motorists dotted a few filling stations that were selling petrol, with the motorists complaining that the scarcity was biting harder on them. Many of them, who spoke to our correspondents at about 2.30pm, said they had been queuing at the filling stations since 5am on Friday. A bank worker, who simply gave his name as Thompson, told one of our correspondents at a filling station in Egbeda area of Lagos State that he had been moving from one filling station to the other with the hope of getting petrol since he closed at work on Thursday evening. He, alongside other motorists, said the purpose for which Friday was declared public holiday was defeated because they had spent the greater part of the day at filling stations trying to buy fuel. One of them, Mr. Tayo Olaniyan, said he had been to five different filling stations to buy petrol and that none of them had fuel. Olaniyan said, “Even some of the fuel stations that used to have fuel before now no longer have. It seems the situation has gone worse after the minister’s statement.” A motorist in a queue to buy petrol at an NNPC station along Ogunnusi Road, Ikeja, Lagos, Mr. Gbenga Adewole, said he had to get to the station at about 5am on Friday to stand a good chance of getting the product. “Since today is public holiday, I decided to get here very early and despite that, I still met a lot of vehicles here,” he said. Also, on the Otedola Estate and Berger ends of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Mobil, Capital Oil and Oando filling stations had long queues of desperate motorists and other customers, which spilled onto the road and caused gridlock. There were fewer queues in most filling stations along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, particularly at Ibafo, Asese and Arepo areas in Ogun State, but it was observed that the filling stations sold petrol for N150 per litre as against the approved N86.5 pump price. In Kwara State, hundreds of motorists decried the worsening fuel scarcity. The motorists told one of our correspondents at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation mega-station at Asa Dam, Ilorin, that they had spent over eight hours in the queue hoping to buy fuel, when they should be enjoying their public holiday with their families. One of the motorists, Alhaji Kale Abdullahi, said he had stayed at the petrol station from 6am till 2.30pm trying to see if he could buy petrol. Another motorist, Alhaji Salmatu Ajayi, said she had hoped to take her children to amusement park and visit some family members since Friday was public holiday, but the many hours spent at a filling station had disrupted her plan. The story was the same on Friday at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and neighbouring Nasarawa and Kaduna states as motorists spent several hours in the queues that stretched several kilometres. The development left hundreds of passengers stranded at various bus stops. In many parts of Nasarawa and Kaduna states, the few petrol stations that had product dispensed the commodity at rates far higher than the official pump price. Despite the fact that the petrol stations sold petrol at over N150 per litre, hundreds of motorists still patronised them. The current fuel scarcity took a turn for the worse on Thursday, a day after Kachikwu said despite the efforts being made by the Federal Government, fuel queues would not completely disappear until May. The State legislator representing Dunukofia Constituency Mr Lawrence Ezeudu has called the state Governor Chief Wilie Obiano to direct commissioner for Environment to tackle the spate of unauthorized excavation of late rite .at various quarters of the state. Ezeudu made the call during the Tuesday plenary session in Awka . He made the call through a motion he presented in the floor of the house asking for members to support the motion based on the recent high level of lateritre excavation in the state . According to him, the high level of the exercise was based on the high number of builders and contractors in the state that had lead to high demand of laterite in the state. Ezeudu asking for directive from the state government to ministry of environment to tackle the high level of late rite excavation in the state by checking those operating without license. Ezeudu argued that excavation of laterite requires approval from the appropriate government authority as well as regulation from relevant agencies He said that the unchecked laterite excavation in the state would lead to adverse environmental hazard like degrading of arable land, landslide ecological instability landscape alteration. He said that such action would affect growth of mechanized agriculture which is one of the cardinal objectives of presentation. In seconding the motion Mr Victor Okoye of Anambra West said that that the motion was timely as it would help in regulation the excavation exercise in the state since lots of builders has come into the state which led to high level of soil excavation in the state. Okoye said that as much as they want wealthy people to invest in the home but there should be regulation in the investments process to save the land. Mr Victor Okoye in supporting the motion said that the motion was in line with section 20 of 1999 Constitutions of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended which provides that state shall amongst other things strive to protect and improve the environment.
