Masters in Petroleum Engineering Scholarships Centre for Petroleum Studies
Department of Earth Science and Engineering

The Centre for Petroleum Studies at Imperial College, London,
is looking for top students for its Master of Science in Petroleum
Engineering.
The MSc course in Petroleum Engineering operates as an intensive
12-month "conversion" course, equiping engineering and science
graduates from other disciplines with the academic and technical
specialities required to practice as a petroleum engineer in the
modern petroleum and allied service industries, and which are also
desirable prior to embarking on more focused PhD research programmes.
The course is designed for those with industrial experience as
well as for new graduates seeking careers in the petroleum industry.
The course begins in early October, and leads to award of a Master of
Science (MSc) degree and to the Diploma of Imperial College (DIC).
The minimum entrance qualification is a First Class Honours degree
in science or engineering from a UK university or its equivalence
from a European or overseas academic institution.
The MSc course is supported with grants and scholarships by the
petroleum industry (from UK and elsewhere) which cover subsistence,
College fees, course notes and field work expenses. These are
normally awarded to UK and EC students. The MSc scholarships
interviews will be held during the second week of June 2007.

Research Assistant in the Development of Hardware and Software

Department Of Materials

Grade 7: Salary £25,633 - £31,525 P.A.: As part of an exciting
new EU research programme spanning nine laboratories, a postdoctoral
position developing hardware and software standards for electron
microscopy, based in the Department of Materials at Oxford is
available, starting as soon as possible, for three years. The
postholder will work closely with members of the academic staff
responsible for this project and with staff from the Oxford Computing
and e-Science laboratories. He/she will also be responsible for user
support and will take responsibility for system administration of EM
group computing resources and will also be responsible for the
specification, deployment and maintenance of a European data server.
Applicants should have at least a first degree in physics, materials
science, engineering, computing or a related discipline with
demonstrated experience in system administration and database design
and support; a doctorate in a similar area would be an

Job Description
Reporting to the Club Manager, the successful candidate will be
required to furnish accurate, timely and reliable financial data and

He/She will be taking care of the financial transactions in the club.

Responsibilities
The job is a managerial position so the successful candidate will be

Experience and Qualification Required
A good first degree or HND in Accounting or Economics from a
reputable University or Polytechnic.
At least 5 years post NYSC experience in the hospitality industry,
oil and gas or an accounting firm is required.

Relevant professional certificate (ICAN, ANA etc.) will be an added
advantage. COMPUTER LITERACY IS VERY IMPORTANT and compulsory for
this job position as most of the accounting jobs are IT based.
Proficiency required in the use of MS excel, MS words and other
accounting packages. Candidate must also possess good analytical
skills.

Qualifications
