CultureRe: Oluwo Akanbi: Leave Me To God, Stop Judging Me On Social Media by okka(m): 11:18am On Feb 18, 2020
Initially I was wondering why Oluwo should do such but later on it dawned on me that he was defending the masses on the arrogancy of the so called kings who ascribe land ownership to themselves and call sort on someone's inheritance just because they are made kings.

The defending Obas said they were not selling Iwo lands but the lands in their domains. What justification do they have to do such. The Obas/traditional rulers from immemorial have been oppressors who usually sold their subjects into slavery for financial or material returns.
Sometime ago, when a new king was installed in one of the towns under contention, he ordered that all the lands sold during the previous king's reign be revoked and rebought by buyers. The buyers, some of who had started developing or even built on theirs have to pay additional prices to retain the titles. In fact, our church camp ground was affected.

But the manner of defense by Oluwo may be wrong, however, he's pained by their primitiveness and such action which is prevalent in almost all communities in Nigeria, should stop in this new dispensation otherwise people will revolt or defenders will rise up for the poor masses' rescue.
Car TalkRe: Corolla Or Camry: Which Should I buy? by okka(m): 7:39am On Feb 13, 2020
This is the most sensible and objective advice. I had loved Corolla along until I got Camry 2007 and am enjoying it since last year. I still love Corolla though and I will love to have it as additional soon.

ikevictor:
I have used both for years and can comfortably tell you that Camry is better.

People tell you Corolla but that car is really not affordable to maintain with regards to the parts which are on the high due to demand.

Also, the underneath parts for Corolla is not a strong as Camry. I used Corolla 2010 and Corolla 2004 respectively.

If you are tall, then Corolla will frustrate you especially when you drive for hours daily as I did.

Fuel economy there’s very little difference but Corolla is better, comfort Camry is better, shock absorption Camry is better, balance on the road Camry is better, resale value Corolla is better due to Nigerian market demand.

If you used an ES Lexus then you best switch should be Camry due to similarity in comfort.

You can make your choice based on above experiences of mine.

BusinessRe: Piggybank Or Cowrywise by okka(m): 3:43pm On Nov 03, 2018
Try saving plan options available in insurance companies.
Depending on the option you pick, the duration ranges from one year to five years or more and interest rates also reflect the option.
The best parts of insurance options are that, there is penalty for withdrawal before the end of the duration selected, therefore, discourages withdrawal symdrome which undermines saving in the bank. Two, the total amount eyed from the beginning of the savings is guaranteed and payable in case of eventuality - death, incapacitations etc.
Loan can also be accessed under the programme.

I would recommend LEADWAY ASSURANCE for this.

Whichever insurance companies selected, the periodical payment called premium should not be given to the staff but paid directly to the company's account by transfer or other means.

I can be of further assistance if required.
PoliticsRe: What Lagos APC Should Learn From Osun Election.pics by okka(m): 2:11pm On Sep 24, 2018
I can't waste my time reading this boring incoherent trash.

hush15:
i disagree that if any but Adeleke presented himself for election, oyetola would have beaten hands down because if you look at the margin, the difference between Oyetola and the others below his numbers, you would realize that not only their party wasnt popular, their personality didnt work for them too. Even Omisore who got the third highest, he won his own LG because his popularity was the only thing that worked for him, not his party. Infact, i make bold to say that party wasnt really the deciding factor in Osun elections. It was the popularity of the individual that drove the message home. Osun people picked individuals, not party in simple terms.

The Adelekes popularity in Osun state is undoubtedly laudable. Even in his senatorial constituency, as Saraki is to Kwara or Jagaban is to lagos is what the Adelekes are in Ede and that resonates deep into the entire state and with a party like PDP that had structure all over the state, it was easy to ripple the effect. Fortunately, he has a cousin that also cuts across the entire country, and the people want to relate with as their own.

True that Osun people are tired of APC and want them out anyway but any other candidate would have lost it to APC jare with all their manipulations. I give it to the Adelekes for putting up a good fight. it is well deserve and i hope they win at the run off cos those APC wont play fair. i can bet anythinf on it. they just just be focused and be ready to defend their win.

Back to Lagos, Ambode's problem is not the people, but his party. Am pretty sure if he was returned, nobody would contest against him. Infact, Jimi didnt sign up not until he got know that Ambode may not be coming back and same with Otedola and if i were Ambode, i would leverage on that advantage. If he need to mobilize people for the primaries. when he ought to have switched lanes he didn't though its not late. PDP would still pick him cos he is a winning ticket but if he doesnt want to change, he can mobilize members from communities that are for him. All he needs is a platform.

As for Lagosians, no doubt that Ambode doesnt deserve a second term and there are many reasons for that. All those projects he started, we need to give him that chance to complete them cos anyone besides him wont treat that project fairly like the initiator. It will be used for politics and lagos wont derive maximum utility from it and eventually, will be a waste for a project of such magnitude. So we need him to complete it and get it running.

Also, either way, the shackles on lagosians would be slackened if not broken. This godfatherism will no longer be effective as lagosian will for once be able to decide its leader and not one man dictating for all. This "Baba sowipe syndrome" has stunted lagos growth by my decades and denied lagosians the true pace and rate of development. what has been happening is lagos wealth goes to a selected few and then they feed us when they like. with the Ambode saga, Even him himself knows he needs to break off the chain to really move forward.

Nigerians are better for it because with the latest development, voting in nigeria is about to change. People are more aware, involved and would defend what is theirs. Though we still have a long way to go because this present government isnt a fair one, but that consciousness that we want to be free to choose our leaders is what we need to get there..

No basis for comparison.......
Ambode never owe any worker salary for a day.

Fayose lost because of that, and if Aregbe loses because of the same reason also, then so be it.
(BUT, will the Opposition be the best Man for the Job?!
That now depends on the indigenes!)
Stop comparing Ambode with such guys.

Nice try by you tho........

TravelRe: Safe Ways To Find Directions To Any Location by okka(m): 5:51am On Aug 15, 2018
Being our brother's keepers is a virtue and commendable. However, our society has been compromised that you cannot trust even a friend anymore.
Thank God for technology, however, if you are using a smart device and you know just the address of your destination, you may use the assistant of Google Map for direction to your destination. I have used it several times!
Type the address on browser and click on direction and leave it on until it you arrive at your destination. It will give you step by step instructions to your intended destination. But you need to have active data subscription and turn on location icon on your device.

goingforward,

The figures shortlisted by you from cic webpage is correct. But you should also put into consideration if his kids will be enrolled into a creche or primary school over there in Canada, which requires a huge sum of money. Therefore, showing additional funds for just 4KCAD for adult dependant and 3KCAD for children won't be sufficient considering his tuition fees from NCC, flight tickets for a family of five. So, presenting just 10M will not fly here.
Education is free for children under 18 in government schools unless in private schools which are not really common and the flight tickets is different from POF because they are checking on your ability to cope financially post entry. I agree with you, it is good to have more than minimum acceptable POF to stand a better chance.
Thanks.

NCC means Niagara College Canada

okka,

Your processing agency is correct! 20M is the ideal amount of money to cater for a family of five that's if you plan traveling along with them. Presenting 10M won't fly here unless you don't plan to travel with your family at once.
But I'll advise you apply alone, while your family can join you once you've acquired your TRV, think about it okay.
Thank you for your swift response and advise.
If I wish to go alone first, what will pof amount look like?

Kindly help me out.
I just got admission offers from NCC and my processing agency told me I need to have up to 20m naira in my bank account as prove of fund for a family of five.
Although, I have a different position on this amount which I believe should not be up to 10m naira.
My major issue, however is how to get the amount that much to enable me proceed with the visa filing.
Your response is golden.
