The Guardian reports that Alan Knight, 47, of Swansea, South Wales, spent two years faking medical ailments, including seizures that sometimes left him comatose, in an attempt to avoid being sanctioned for swindling an elderly man out of his savings.

A group of Fulani cattle breeders in Nigeria formally known as Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Socio-Cultural Association, yesterday pledged to mobilize their 23 million members to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of the 2015 presidential election. They publicly declared their support at a World Press Conference held at NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

Reading their statement on behalf of the National President, Alhaji Abdullahi Bodejo of the association, its National Secretary, Saleh Alhassan Kubah said the pastoralists were rooting for President Jonathan because he had shown special interest in their welfare since he assumed office as president.
