But there are places in the world that the military, who swore on oath to protect her citizens will open fire on the same unarmed citizen killing over 30 people in a day.

The only reason why the Military won't do what they do in SS in SW is becos ... people of SW will never gruesomely kill Military personnels on a peace keeping mission, these was exactly what happened at ODI over 20yrs ago

In the North, lots of genocide go on, infact there own case is worst than SS why you don't know is becos most of the event in North are either not reported or under reported, and the people are not social media savy.

Deterrence message targeted at community will go far in curbing re-occurence cos next time people will say something immediately they see or notice something unusual in there environment.

The military too cannot do what they do in SS in the SW or the North.

Two communities (Okoloba and Okwuama) have an issue. Okoloba kill 3 people from Okwuama, and Okwuama held one person from Okoloba without killing him yet.

Okoloba invited the army to help rescue their person.

When the army get to Okwuama, they said they came for PEACE KEEPING. They were entertained with Kolanut and drinks. When the army were about to leave, they said they are going with Okwuama youth leader. The community youth refused that it's like an arrest, that if they need the youth leader, they should invite him, that he will honour the invitation. It resulted in heated arguments with the army opening fire and killing over 30 people in that day 1 alone ignoring rules of engagement. (The media did not report this).

3 days later, the army return with more enforcements. But they were ambushed and about 15 of them killed. They were heavy casualty on the side of Okwuama too as the community was razed to the ground.

We do not support the killing of our soldiers by the Youth. But the Soldiers were unprofessional with their conduct.

I have somewhere in Delta state close to Ologbo with no herdsmen wahala.

I have another farm about 5km from this farm with herdsmen wahala.

For the one with herdsmen wahala, we engage the locals who are giving the herdsmen backing. We threaten the locals with lawsuits, drag them before the local government chairman, expose them to the community as the ones who brought herdsmen into the community to be causing crop damages.

This approach has help in reducing the herdsmen damage as their local sponsors try to save their necks by reigning in the herdsmen as much as possible.

You can try this approach. There is always a local indigene collecting money from the herdsmen in the community and giving them backing to go a graze in the bush around the community. Get that indigene and harass him to pay for the herdsmen damages.

You can also use water to blackmail the herdsmen into not destroying your crops. Checkout who they are getting drinking water from and make the person to stop giving water to any herdman that uses his cow to destroy crops or any herdsman that grazes his cows at night.

I can give you a land where there is no herdsmen wahala but it is a forest land so you will have to do some tree felling before you can grow your crops
