Travel / Re: The Agony Of Passport Expiration In Vietnam by okusebi(m): 9:58pm On Jan 06, 2021
This is quite strange. I guess it's peculiar to Vietnam. In the Nigerian embassy in China, you can get your passport renewal in less than 8 hours. We have passport days which is every Tuesday and Wednesday. Nigerian embassy Beijing is one of the best i know who does that.

Romance / Broke Girls: Dating A Rich Guy Isn't Poverty Alleviation Scheme by okusebi(m): 11:27pm On Mar 21, 2020
The question is. Why do most broke African girls always wanna date a rich guy instead if working hard to make their own money.?
My opinion. Boyfriends and husband are not poverty alleviation schemes. The better way to alleviate poverty is by getting a job or starting your own business, learning a skill. Too long have this responsibility be put on the guy. its time for men to also ask the question. WHAT IS SHE BRINGING TO THE TABLE. If a man needs to support a woman, it should be something productive such as starting a business rather than having your ONLY dream to buy your dream house, car, Jewelry Weavon with his money.
Lastly. i want to urge ladies to demand more for themselves. The world is yours to conquer.

Family / Re: Is It Right For A Wife To Keep Properties In Her Name? by okusebi(m): 7:06pm On Nov 05, 2019
not really, there are different types of marriage in Nigeria and they are all recognized by law. even the marriage in the church, they still signs marriage documents. Not all churches have authority to wed couples. If you marry in the church, the church will give you forms to fill that will be sent to the registry for documentation. There is nothing like court marriage, it's just signing of papers, which you can do in traditional or church. you need to get the right information

This one wey you dey talk only applies when dem do court marriage oo! if na only Traditional and church..how you won fight am pass for this yeye country where case dey drag for years.
Family / Re: Is It Right For A Wife To Keep Properties In Her Name? by okusebi(m): 1:05am On Nov 05, 2019
I think, if the couples are legally married, except there is a prenup that says otherwise, all properties belong to both parties regardless of whose name is on the documents. if there is a divorce, the properties will be shared accordingly based on their resolution. most Nigerian women really don't know their marital rights.

they have denied you of huge opportunities.
no send them, forget old boys association or how it would feel to be around the school after suing
u dont need that attachment
the school no send u, dem give you 2.2 pursue u comot
never bothered to care how u ventured after graduating
people fail to realize that going to school is a contract between yourself and the institution
the institution has breached by not giving to what you actually paid and worked for as at when due
sue their ass, u are no longer a student, sue dem
sue dem
sue dem
are u deaf? i said sue dem
first i deserve to be in 2.1 and it wasn't an easy struggle because my 100 level result was 1.7 gpa. i know how hard i worked. i will talk to the lawyer to see his opinion about option to sue them... just that i may not have the finance for that.

The bureaucracy in government owned universities is so alarming. Even when at fault they do not care neither are they willing to apologise
thats the major problem with Nigeria n universities.. i wrote several letters, they refused to do the needful until i decided to get a lawyer. i even spoke with the HOD and he told me that it is not his problem that he wasn't the HOD the time that i was a student

How did u go about it?Can we chat?If yes, send me a pm.I have similar issue, they are yet to release my cert and dis is over. 4 yrs.Waiting to hear from you.
i got a lawyer, actually it was two different lawyers, one first wrote to them and they failed to respond, the lawyer was too relaxed so i decided to get another lawyer, who took the case seriously. it took him about seven months to get a reaponse from the school. it took alot of time and money because i had to pay the lawyer.

congrats bro, that was how they altered my colleague's cgpa from 4.38 to 3.38 and what irks me is that they will never increase your cgpa mistakenly, if there is any mistake they made on your cgpa then it must be reduction
exactly, it never goes up, their mistake is always to bring it down, sometimes i wonder if its a deliberate action .

That is what happens when people go to school with the mindset of 2.1 na 2.1.
Anything can happen.

If you had graduated with 4.0- 4.49, you would have been immune, and who knows where you'd be right now if you had been armed with an "upper" certificate four years ago.

Anyway, na joke I dey o.

Congrats, man. It Deserves some serious celebration.

hello everyone, today is a happy day and i feel like sharing the good news with you guys, some time ago i created a topic about an issue where i needed advise about discovering that my CGPA was wrongly calculated after collection of transcript. well i took your advise and i decided to get a lawyer, first i tried doing it my self but the school was unresponsive. My lawyer wrote several letters to them including action to go to court if the CGPA is not recalculated. well, finally it has been recalculated after 4 years of graduation, formally it was 3.4, now it is 3.51 which second class upper division, i am so happy, although i have lost several opportunities because of this great error from Delta State university. i look into the positive light that everything happens for a reason.

to me, free blood donation is a foolish idea when you perfectly know that the hospitals will definately sell the blood to the patients very expensive. the last time i donated, i remember i collected 5k cash from the hospital. no hard feelings cool

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Certification Vs Masters: Which Is Hotter In Nigerian Labour Market? by okusebi(m): 10:28am On Apr 24, 2017
some people here are just making a baseless conclusion, how can you compare certification to a masters degree. certification is just an icing to the cake, masters degree is the real deal. do not be deceived because of the hardship you find yourself. if you have an opportunity to have a masters degree, it is best. because someone with masters degree will sit in the office and head you with your certification while you work your ass in the field. certification expires and it is just an icing to the cake.
