As far as Shale Oil is concerned, I doubt Nigeria will be able to catch up with the trend because we do not have the projected blueprints to withstand any quake it will develop overtime on our economy.

I haven't really taken time to follow this shale oil saga but from the little I see, we just have to brace up for whatever that may befall us in the coming years, which you confirmed in your post.

Sometime ago, I read somewhere by a fellow NL that US navy has developed the technology that will convert sea water into fuel, which means that warships and the likes can be on sea for months or years.

Another news has it that an asian kid, whether from singapore or so developed a car battery that can last 20 years--a pretty good match for Elon Musk's , the serial entreprenuer and invetor , electric car.

This not to cast a dark cloud of fear on people.

Times are changing people. The future of energy from fossil fuel isn't as stable as it was years ago.

Since America who was our major oil buyer have chanelled their resources in developing what they consider a better option for our oil, who else in world can patronise our sweetcrude like the Americans used to?

Canada and America holds the holy grail to the future of energy worldwide if this shale oil is anything to go by. And America has surpassed Saudi Arabia as the world's largest oil producers.
