Would suggest you apply for a Tourist visa then:
1. Switch to a course in a private school. Some allow part-time study on Saturdays OR
2. Try switching to a Digital Nomad Visa from here

Respect to the Jews of Africa. Nigerians keep stepping on them but the world keeps embracing them. I remember a couple of years back when this news broke out on nairaland about the invention, trust them Yorubas to play it down with different forms of mockery, the news didn't even make front page back then. But that didn't stop this strong man, God bless Igbos of nigeria.

Although it might kill some to admit but the Igbos are nigeria's ticket to greater heights. Forget your bigotry and admit this truth then maybe, just maybe we can forge ahead from there

As much as I love IBOs, I beg to question the fact that Ibos have ties to Jews, kindly read my view.

Jews are who they are because they follow are set of principles(given by God). These principles were given to them for this reason, so they will be separated from other nations. So we know them only by these principles they follow(see 5 books of moses gen-deut)

You spot a Jewish guy anywhere in the world and you day 'hey, that guy's a jew' cause his practices say 'hey, I follow God's rules given to my ancestors and I also will pass these rules to my future generation(as instructed by GodGod).

My question is how can IBOs prove to jews they are one of them without sharing these same traditions/believes (which has been passed down for centuries to all Jewish generations) and acting it out?
How did you miss that?

Anyone have a different theory? Pls share

Hi @sodiqyinka, thanks for your help on the redeployment case.

My sister was in batch a.

She redeployed from akwa ibom but was given Oyo state on the redeployment list instead of Lagos. She was told she could leave akwa ibom, print her redeployment letter online and head straight to Oyo state.

Her relocation status online says your application is being processed. Even her room mates who redeployed on marriage grounds have the same status.

Where should they go to sort it out, akwa ibom or oyo state?

Her call up number is NYSC/FRN/2015/702709.

Please help! Thanks in anticipation

Drop your state code. Let me check the status of your relocation. Cheers.

Since you are such a genius what will you say the west was after when they supported him in 2011 or die they backstab him then too?

I wonder why you think people suffering in serious poverty while reading about corruption and diversion of public funds WONT vote out Jonathan.

Come on bro...its not rocket science no matter how you try to paint it.

mensdept:
Na all gramma.

In short, the northerners wanted and saw an easy way to grab what they feel "they were born" to have.

The West (look at Economist magazine 2015) already planned for GEJ exit to secure that oil for little or nothing as they have been doing

The West (Well, in 9ja the Yoruba) saw an opportunity to do what they historically have done- to siphon contracts and federal positions to enrich not Yoruba people, or develop, but the pockets of their elite, and thus, backstabbed the Eastern Ijaw man

The East (Igbo and minorities) having thugs as leaders for over 16 years at state and legislative levels, and thus, could not muster any meaningful challenge or protection of GEJ.

Nigerians- use to mediocricy and mostly cowards, who despite fighting and some dying for democracy, supported the return of the military in "suit and tie" (Obasanjo and now Buhari) and are shameless in their local reasoning compared to European and Asian Tigers

Another rare nigerian with common sense. Hope is not lost!
God bless your good judgement

nigerhead:
GReat story and may I wish the beneficiary all the best in life. Also can I say this is a good thing to celebrate about the GEJ government, at least this plainly looks like meritocracy taking precedence.

After saying this, can I still declare that I am opposed to GEJ in principle not because he has not done anything good, (I would be lying if I said so) but he has on the balance of things allowed more things to go wrong than right in his administration. I refer to things that are rightfully within his power to have controlled but because he lacks leadership qualities. I do believe that to a large extent GEJ is a good man with basic good intentions, but he does not have the capacity to stand up for those intentions of his, in a country like Nigeria especially, that is a bad trait.

Whether we want to be like ostriches or face the facts, the free fall in our Naira today while primarily due to the fall in oil prices could have been ameliorated better if GEJ had effectively plugged the loopholes in the Petroleum industry and in our Budgeting and Finance as a country. He had the overwhelming will of the people with him and could have done wonders, instead he allowed a few cabal to hijack his government from him.

No matter how you want to play with numbers it is fact that oil sold on average for 100Dollars for at least 3 years, Nigeria was making hefty amount of money in Dollars. Now Mr president constructs a few roads, does trains (truth be told a lot of those aint modern trains, but at least he did something), builds some schools and universities (which aint world class or African class, but lets give him that too), sanitizes the fertilizer distribution system (which would save some money for goverment too) and diversified the economy ( I dont have example of the diversification, but I will happily agree with it). Now can all these that he has done be equal to the amount of money we made within the time frame; considering that our said foreign reserves are now massively depleted and our debts have also massively increased?

At least if we made a whole lot of money and also did a whole lot of things fundamentally important to our economy (e.g light, better communication infrastructure etc), I would say equation balanced, but for us not to see any fundamental restructuring of the economy and also now be back in debts, then the right question is where has the money gone to.

On security, isnt it instructive that the same BokoH that was tormenting the federation for over 4 years is now within a short time loosing their foothold. I have heard stories about USA not giving us arms, my retort is that America is not the only country in the world that sells arms. How was BokoH able to get their own arms. Besides the fact that BH was able to overrun our own army and use their own weapons against us is dishearterning. So what has changed now : POLITICAL WILL. GEJ has now suddenly summoned all his political will and has found the arms we need and also the "leadership traits". NB: The arms did not come from USA still, so where did all these arms now appear from?

Our president also showed crass insensitivity to the plight of the Northerners and by extension the Nigerian people. E.g: going to dance at a campaign rally after Nigerians were killed, refusing to acknowledge for weeks the kidnap of Chibok girls and so many more instances of this nonchalant attitude to the plight of the common man. If anyone of our relatives has being killed or kidnapped and we see our president being so unfeeling to our plight would we be happy to vote him back in. Till today the Chibok girls havnt been found and our President doesnt seem to take a leading interest in finding out their fate, after he begrudgingly agreed they had been kidnapped.

Then there are his utterances, he himself said he would tackle the light problem in 4 years and if he doesnt do it then there is no need to come back. Plans do change, I agree, but at least let him come out and comprehensively tell us what he has done on the light issue and why we still dont have constant light (lets say constant light is at least 12 hours of light everyday through out the whole country).

So, GEJ is the one that has put himself in the position which he finds himself now. He cannot blame APC for his predicament.

Chibuike,we have SOMETHING in common. CONGRATS.
Mr. President, many thanks for bringing smiles to Mr.Chibuike and his family.

However, democracy should be about bringing joy to the greatest number of people. Awarding scholarships to a few Nigerians cannot move our country forward.

1. What will move our country forward is by ensuring that Nigerian Children have access to quality education.

2. What's the point in investing millions on few students when the GREATER NUMBER of our University students were at home for 6 months; Polytechnics were closed down for 11 months and Colleges of education were under locks and keys for about a year!!!

3.Let's stop celebrating mediocrity. I want a President that will improve the quality of our Universities; not one that will continue the anachronistic order of sending students abroad.

4.If we Improve the quality of our Universities and hospitals; Nobody will go abroad!!!

5. Sending students abroad is a 1960/ 1970/ 1980 mentality. They've stopped all that in Ghana and South Africa.

6.It's a sign of backwardness.

I will vote for CHANGE.Things Must CHANGE

What will patience jonathan's brain and body look like at 70+?

As for Jonathan empowering women "to steal". he has empowered them but he has also left nigeria with a high cost of corruption aka stolen funds, national debt, deaths from terrorism etc our future generation will pay for.

Have you seen the corruption resume of governors and ministers under Jonathan. Give me a break!

If we say Tinubu is corrupt, his name better not be the only one on the list, might as well name every one of them out there.

They say Tinubu is hungry for power

Question: which present leader's efforts has spelt nothing but desperation to cling to power?
The only one here desperate for power is the PDP ruling us for years under changing party umbrella with no clear change in the economy.

They say Tinubu wants to turn Nigeria to his personal property like he did Lagos

Question: is Nigeria not PDP's property at the moment?

I personally don't mind Tinubu turning Nigeria into his personal property as long as he treats her like his own. Jonathan has proven he done a bad taking care of Nigeria like his own.

It is sad to see many anti-progressives call Buhari names because of his tribal accent. Igbo's , Yoruba and Hausa's all have various ways of speaking and pronunciation due to our mother tongue. When i watched father Mbaka's video, his accent was obvious when he pronounced OIL as OYEL but does that makes him an illiterate? General Buhari reads, writes and gives speeches in English, but the hatred by some Nigerians will never let them see that fact.

The most supporters of this present administration are the Igbo's. They see this as an opportunity for them to avenge what was done to them during the civil war. They never blamed Ojukwu who started a suicide mission and ran to ivory coast leaving them to their fate. This is why they will never see anything good in Buhari even if GEJ does nothing, they are contented.

THEY ARE HAPPY THE ELECTION WAS POSTPONED. THEY ARE SO EASY TO DECEIVE. GEJ fooled the igbos with Azikwe and promise of a bridge that's still on paper. They see GEJ as the closest they can get to aso rock. voting him is their way of flexing their political muscle but we shall put them to shame.

Had APC presented Fashola, Atiku or Kwankwaso , they will still find reasons to vote for GEJ and label Apc candidates bad. This hate is not about buhari, it's the way they feel they can get revenge for refusing to allow them form their Biafran territory. They call Yoruba's slave to the North and all sort of names. They are a petty tribe. Its unfortunate the disunity of this country originates from their region.

In 2011, we all saw GEJ as a messiah and we voted him en-masse irrespective of his tribe and religion. We thought he would deliver us from years of misrule due to his humble look and name GOODLUCK. Nigerians did not vote PDP but GEJ. Then Yoruba's were not tagged slaves for trooping out to vote for him en-masse.

They said APC and Buhari promised to make Nigeria ungovernable. My question is why can't these people be arrested if the statements tagged to them were true GEJ is the commander in chief of all forces in Nigeria and it baffles me how a civilian in Buhari can make his government ungovernable while he sits and watch without taking actions. Isn't that a high level of incompetence?

Good luck Jonathan is the worst president we ever had in this country. The misfortunes of his administrations exceeds the so called transformations. I urge everyone to vote wisely

##March4Buhari cool cool cool

Spot on!!! The most impressive post. You sure know how nigerians think.

Buhari or his certificate is not their problem (a phd holder has put this country in shit hole and we're still using certificate as a benchmark).

My conclusion, nigerians deserve the kind of leaders they have since they continue to rely on sentiment rather than truth.

There's really no pleasing you Nigerians is there?

We sound like people who would have criticize Jesus if he was alive today. If the man collects the car, na wahala. He rejects the car, na wahala. What do nigerians really want? I am beginning to DOUBT if we can spot the difference an act of corruption or morality even if it hits us in the face like a small ball.

For those who say how those this story affect nigerians.
No matter how small you think rejecting such a gift is, can we start commending people for little acts of ethics. Corruption wont go away in one day, like any other journey it starts with little steps.

Can we please stop trying to criticize people who are trying to stand out from the rot of this country and not put them down. Isn't it better than men of God that will collect, wipe their mouth clean and pretend they are feeling people's pain (we don't like that either). So what's the problem here? What's the crime or sin here? Do enlighten me because i'm in support of small acts of morality that can inspire people to make the right choices.

For those who say why didn't he sell it and give charity.
This is such a human problem as far back as Judas Iscariot and the woman in the alabastar box. As noble as the act is,I still don't see what he's done wrong by not collecting it at all. Its a choice, you can choose to do that when you are given such, its a choice. He probably knows those people well enough that when he starts collecting such from them, its another wahala. Let's be fair in our judgement, SUPPOSE God commends this act, then how fair are we?

We are so quick to celebrate Mandela, Ghandi, Mother therasa etc. Is this not how they started? .

I don't know this man neither have I ever followed him BUT in this generation where finding people of moral standards is extremely low, I'll rather we celebrate small WINS we have that show that there's still a bit of sanity out there and all is not lost. Merci
