Wanted to congratulate him but from the link above….apparently, he’s a hard drug dealer.

Tramadol importer….terrible. Destroying lives of the youth for money.
See how the article above praised him like he’s a good person.

I could just give a fellow applicant cash and have him or her do the transaction on my behalf, right?
Thanks baba.

If you have a GT account. Go to their branch and get a card using self service. You should get it in less than 1 hour.
Rather than going to TLS and hoping a good samaritan will help you.

Lol, be patient.

We did biometrics on April 4 and haven't got a response. UKVI does what pleases them.

I sent a paid mail to ukvi this morning after calling them yesterday afternoon and in less than 30 mins I got a response that they can confirm a decision had been made.

Immediately I logged in to track the application status and it has moved to "TRANSFERED TO VAC.

Nice!
Which do you think worked quickly? The call or the paid mail?

TBH, what anyone says outside of this thread is none of my business.
He should be called out and attacked on those threads, not here.
We all have different backgrounds and reason differently.
We cannot agree on every issue. So we focus on the ones that we can agree on here and ignore the ones we consider not palatable. My reason is because we may miss important message/knowledge if the messenger is attacked.

Some stocks return more than bonds, while some don't. And some stocks even dissappear completely. Not a straight answer that one will be better than the other.
I’m talking about overall portfolio comparison in hindsight (not single stock picks).
If you compare your stock returns over the past 10 years vs bonds return in same period. Which performed better?
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Olaide1295: 11:52pm On Apr 12, 2023
I’ve been adding on more commercial papers than stocks to my portfolio recently.
Im wondering, has anyone ever done a bond vs stock result comparison for their portfolio over a period of say 10-15 years of the NSE.
Which performed better?
Equities like Zenith, Ucap etc yields are about 12-13% now. Bonds & Commercial papers are between 13 - 16%.
Which is better?

what is driving ote$?

merger of ughelli; Afam (Transcorp power) and Geregu power in sight?

bidding war likely to follow? (30-40% probability, while the shareholding structure looks similar to FBNH ( large fragmentation) it is not exactly the same (sizeable large chunk circa 10-20% still with a single person (TOE), which is not same scenario with FBNH).

why did TOE not pick the chunk up to protect his interest (no plausible answer)

Interesting days ahead
The moves may be because of the new power bill that was signed.
I heard Adeleke is also expanding Omotosho’s capacity to double.

The thread about Healthcare recruitment ban currently on the homepage should not bother anyone who has been following this thread for even the past few days.
It’s about active scouting & recruitment, not when you’re the one applying to go there yourself.

Total scam based on peoples regret comments and the app’s most critical reviews on Apple AppStore. You’ll be better than off pouring kerosene on your money and burning it (at least you’ll get warm) than giving it to these Indian owned scam app.

Thanks for the response. Was it the manual or computer capture one?
I’m not sure which is computer capture. I submitted address which they verified. Then they brought ink and a paper to collect my biometric data.

Hello Fam, has anyone been able to capture at Alagbon recently after making payment on possap? They said the system has been down for 2 weeks.
Would appreciate if I can get a contact to assist in capturing as payment has already been made on possap.
Thanks in advance.
I was there on Wednesday (2 days ago). I did for two people. 40k each and got it within 1 hour(go with passport and a passport photo).
I didn’t pay online though. The website was malfunctioning.

A friend needs an advice...

He has 30k usd invested. He gets 5% annually as interest in usd...
5% interest on 30,000 annually is 1500usd
1500 * 740 = 1,110,000 in naira

He then noticed that if he had converted the money to naira, his interest would have been much better because the interest on naira is around 10% - 14%...
30000 * 740 = 22,200,000
10% interest on 22,200,000 annually is 2,220,000

Now, he's contemplating on whether to convert his money to naira for fast growth or leave it in usd. And at the same time, he is scared of naira devaluation. Anyone?
Allboiz, biko come back. What investment is your friend getting 5% on USD from? (Asides eurobonds)

Good morning guys. I bought 180days treasury bills that will mature around April 27th @ 8%.
As it's I need the money to buy land, I want to liquidate. What advice do you have for me. Will I loose or gain? 13M involved
180 days is not a very long time. Buying the land can wait till then. Don't let any agent/seller rush you.
When buying, it pays to prolong the negotiation to get a discount. When selling, it pays to hasten things up and make a quick sale.

Politics / Re: Waiting For Dangote Refinery Before Removing Subsidy — Reps by Olaide1295: 11:17pm On Feb 06, 2023
reiddecuti:
I won't be surprise if Dangote source his buyers from outside country. And all hope these useless government that have bedevilled Nigeria since 4th republic will be dashed.

A responsible government would have taken up the task to fixed the refinery but not in Nigeria.

Look at UK energy crisis, it was because government sold off it's assets to private sector and subsidize again thereby costing them more to checkmate the highcost of energy. At least, they have a responsible government.

For those of us relying on Dangote refinery, be ready to embrace the turbulence it will come with. What does this mean, government is indirectly handing off her role in the sector to private sector and more chaos is coming.

1) Nigeria government has hands-off in the
transportation sector.

2) They have partially hands-off in the education and health sectors. That's why we have more of private sector dominating in these sectors.

3) What about energy sector (electricity, diseal, petroleum) - partial hands-off.

4) What about security - partially hands-off.

That's why there's chaos, where the sectors record low productivity thereby creating no new jobs and the jobs out there, only few pay decent wage.

Nigeria government has failed and will continue to fail until the day we say enough. It's a pattern that has been birthed and need to be broken before any progress is made.

It is in nature of man that once a pattern is established, he will always travel round the pattern, unless it is broken by 'Discipline, Will, and Commitment'.
The government has no business running businesses and should hands off to the private sector.
Govt. is rife with subsidies, inefficiencies and striking staff because people believe they can get easy money.
For example: walk into a civil service office and see their ethics, and then compare with a KPMG or private company office ethics. The difference is clear!
Private companies owned by citizens should run businesses, Govt should enact policies to drive growth and healthy competition.
