Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How To Answer The Question "Why Do You Want To Change Your Current Job" by Olalan(op): 8:38pm On Feb 19, 2015
Thanks a lot to all for the educative responses. I told them I wanted a change of job for a much more challenging role, but they would not take that as a answer. I seek for a new job because I want a place that has a prospect for career growth.
Jobs/Vacancies › How To Answer The Question "Why Do You Want To Change Your Current Job" by Olalan(op): 6:01pm On Feb 19, 2015
I want to ask what appropriate answers that can be provided when asked about the reason for wanting to leave your current employer to join a new organization. Twice I have been asked and I realise my responses were not really convincing.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: What Is The Least Amount You Can Collect As A Fresh Graduate? by Olalan(m): 9:41pm On Jan 03, 2015
I really admire the figures people have posted for their first job, but the reality is very few persons start up with six figures salary. If the job can cover your basic expenses and little savings go for it cause employers that pay well most times seek experience hire. If you are waiting for the six figures job you might rust away and become unemployable cause employers will ask what have you been doing after graduation.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Is It Govt That Didn't Provide Jobs Or The Youth Of Today Are Just LAZY? by Olalan(m): 7:19am On Nov 12, 2014
When I hear people talk about graduates doing business I ask if there is an enabling environment for small scale business to thrive in Nigeria? Some years back you could set up a small tailoring or barbing shop with small cash but now if you are to set any of this shop up and expect patronage you need to spend well on it. How does a fresh graduate compete with a retiree who got millions in gratuity in the same business environment cause everybody after retiring goes into business.
Politics › Re: FG Withdraws Tambuwal's Security Details by Olalan(m): 7:36am On Oct 30, 2014
The PDP did not tell Mimiko to resign as ondo state Gov. When he jumped into their fold from another party yet they want the speaker to resign. Talk about coming to equity with clean hands.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: UK Master Degree Holder Got A 40k Job; Accept Or Reject? by Olalan(m): 10:33am On Oct 25, 2014
Though the pay might be discouraging but the experience he gets on the job coupled with his educational qualification would help him in getting a better job. FACT is most good paying jobs except trainee positions require experience.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Lets expose Companies that Owes Salaries, Discriminates Or Slanders Staff by Olalan(m): 7:35pm On Oct 17, 2014
With the unethical practices of most of all the Asian companies in Nigeria which is an open knowledge, I wonder what the Nigeria Labour Union does to control the abnormality. Wondering why this topic has not made F P? At least people would know what's going on in some organisations esp. For those who want to change jobs (cause many believe the grass is greener at the other end) so they know where they jump to.

Pets › Re: Dogs Attacked My Brother Inside Our Flat ─ Seven-year-old by Olalan(m): 6:53pm On Oct 07, 2014
The owner of the dogs should be prosecuted to serve as a lesson to other arrogant pet owners who terrorise their neighbours with their pets. Wishing the little boy quick and full recovery .

Words can not describe a woman that has sacrificed so much for all her children and even her husband my dad. The best description for her is the Virtuous Woman as described in Proverbs 31:10-31. God bless you my mother.
Travel › Re: 10 People You Will Meet In A "Danfo" Bus by Olalan(m): 5:12pm On Sep 11, 2014
Passengers that would convince the driver to take a different route to beat traffic only to realise the former route would have been faster. Also those who keep complaining about the driver picking up passengers; do they expect the bus to go on half filled trips. Lagos bus passengers show how impatient, insatiable and selfish people can be.

Health › Re: Two Ebola Cases Confirmed In Port Harcourt. by Olalan(m): 6:33pm On Aug 28, 2014
This latest outbreak is going to test the ability of the federal govt. to fighting this disease because the number of possible contacts now outnumber that of Lagos. The Lagos cases were managed well due to the fast response of the state govt. But I fear the seriousness of the Rivers govt. with the initial denial by their commissioner.

Health › Re: Lagos Ebola Patients Neglected,critically Ill – Relatives,colleagues by Olalan(m): 6:56am On Aug 15, 2014
We are the giant of Africa yet we seem powerless in tackling issues; first it was insurgency in the north that rubbished our so called status as the best military personnel in Africa now ebola is exposing our failed healthcare system which was caused by bad leadership and corruption. Of the 1.9 billion released only God knows how much will be spent on addressing the crisis.

Politics › Re: Nurses Drive Away Suspected Ebola Patient In Lagos by Olalan(m): 9:28pm On Aug 13, 2014
If this story is true then it shows how ill prepared and unserious we are as a nation in fighting this disease. Govt. get the blame for not responding swiftly by providing all the necessary tools needed by health officials likewise the nurses there did wrong by sending the woman away; if truely she was infected how do you trace people around her that had very close contact with her body fluids, their action could just lead to the disease spreading faster. What stopped them from isolating her before the better equipped personnel get to her?

Family › Re: The Legacy Of Mother Theresa; 20 Facts About This Great Woman. by Olalan(m): 10:01am On Jun 28, 2014
She no doubt lived the true Christian life; she preached Love and practiced it unlike some who don't practice what they preach. How beautiful the world would be if we all can show so much concern about the less privileged around us.
Romance › Re: Are Dark Skin Ladies Going Extinct In Nigeria? by Olalan(m): 10:18pm On Jan 07, 2014
This disturbing trend esp among ladies I attribute to inferiority complex. But also you wonder if this "overnight Oyinbo" don't have friends or family members to warn them about the long term effect of bleaching; or they themselves can't learn from the mistakes of others with multi colour skin complexion who we see everyday with badly damaged skin. BLACK is BEAUTIFUL any day any time.
Family › Re: Pre-marital Sex Immoral, No Religion Permits It by Olalan(m): 9:38pm On Jan 06, 2014
Religious bodies esp in Nig have to be more assertive on the dangers and consequences of pre marital sex. With the moral decay in the society the Religious bodies have to take a Zero tolerance against fornication. But its so sad to see some so called religious est. Unconsciously promote immorality in the name of granting their members Freedom.
