Career › Re: I Have Given Up On Going To School After 5 Yrs Of Trying by Olalan(m): 12:09pm On Oct 31, 2015
OP, pls don't give up on tertiary education, I know how it feels myself having done jamb 3 times before getting through.
I would advise you choose courses that are less competitive(microbiology, biochemistry are less competitive than medicine and pharmacy) also if a federal school consider one that has your state as a catchment area and institutions that are in your state of origin.
In the interim you could get yourself skilled in information technology cause it can get you a small job but be careful it doesn't affect your time to study for your exams.
Wishing you success in your next exams.
Jobs/Vacancies › Office In Fightings( Especially Among Females) What Are The Reasons. by Olalan(op): 7:30pm On Oct 23, 2015
I observe that most office in fightings(shouting match) are mostly among female colleagues, currently at my place of work the shout match is usually among the females, I once saw two female cashier talking back at each other in the presence of customers, and the reasons for their disagreement are things that can be resolved easily without a third party involvement.
My question is
1) Is it that men are used to "taking nonsense" or "don't know our rights" as some females will say or men understand themselves better not to bring their disagreements into public.
2) Can we say envy, jealousy, envy and inability to submit especially to people they seem better than either by marriage, education, beauty or social status as being some of the underlying reason for this "girl fights".
Kindly share your experience if any and the reason for the disagreements whether in office, school or any social association.
N.B Am not trying to bash females, just want to understand this pattern of behaviour better( inability to get along with each other well).

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 3 Keys To Turning Down A Job Offer Without Burning Bridges by Olalan(m): 6:59am On Sep 16, 2015
Good info, most importantly when you have to reject a job offer gotten by referral who was sure you would take it up. As much as we seek recruiters to get back to us after a recruitment process, when offered we should also get back to them when turning down their offer.
Education › Re: OAU Student Union Budgets N1.8m For Phone Calls by Olalan(m): 7:52am On Sep 15, 2015
Can corruption be eliminated from Nigeria? I doubt cause it seems everyone is guilty, we talk about our politicians but in truth every sector is corrupt, a peep into the private sector will open our eyes. 1.8 million for six months ,I guess they take their members for fools.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Is This Advisable? by Olalan(m): 9:00pm On Sep 14, 2015
Kindly take the job, cause the experience gained will boost your chances of getting a better job. And remember a bird in hand is worth two in the bush, you have interviews not job offers remember.
Romance › Re: 9 Things Girls Do On Social Media That Shows They Are Runs Girls. by Olalan(m): 2:43pm On Sep 14, 2015
The pictures they upload as DP shows the kind of morals they uphold. When you see a girl with seductive pictures you know she is just seeking for clients to come patronise her. But strangely most girls on social networking sites now are guilty of this now, guess many on social media are runs girls.
Family › Re: His Newly Wedded Wife Won't Cook For Him by Olalan(m): 7:43pm On Sep 12, 2015
Cooking is one of the core duty of a wife in marriages in all cultures and religion all over the world, so whatever the hubby does is just an assistance to his wife. The earlier the wife realises this the better for her.
Celebrities › Re: Kate Henshaw’s 85-Year-Old Landlord Lambasts Her Over Fire Incident by Olalan(m): 8:50am On Sep 12, 2015
If this story is true then I can infer that most of our so called celebs aren't as rich as they always want to make us believe. Kate being a tenant at this time is hard to believe

The prime suspect was using the latest Range Rover which he even drives to work just as a flight attendant yet nobody could question his source of wealth. Until we stop worshiping money and start questioning people who live above their income things like this will continue.

Romance › Re: ......... by Olalan(m): 3:19pm On Aug 23, 2015
Truth is like minds attract each other, you say men want sex but in reality today's girls seems to be telling the world that their unique selling point is their body. Take a look at social media Pictures of most Nigerian girls its mostly sexually revealing. If you show yourself to be a lady of high moral value men will respect you and think twice before making unwholesome requests from you.
Family › Re: What Would You Do If Your Spouse Told You He Stole N100m From Government? by Olalan(m): 6:57pm On Aug 22, 2015
The replies in that article is not a true representation of the Nigerian society, If only one sees how people steal, cheat and cut corners in this country both in the private and public sector, most people spend and live above their salaries. And the society encourages such by giving relevance to ill gotten wealth by celebrating riches without questioning their sources.

Politics › Re: Oh Dear! Read What These Americans Think About Adams Oshiomhole's Marriage by Olalan(m): 9:36pm On May 16, 2015
This Osho marriage talk is really uncalled for. When do we start thinking straight as a people? Making mockery of peoples looks isn't fair on the person, personally I believe its not right to mock or make joke out of an individual looks or condition because sub consciously you are hurting them.
The bashing has to stop and let's respect the couple rights to freedom of association. I wish them a happy married life.
Pls could this topic on the marriage be the last, I think we have had enough already.

Take the full time job, it's better considering the benefits attached and you wouldn't have to worry about going back to the labour market soon. Though the pay is smaller the truth is its not really cool to have been working and stop after some months.

Investment › Re: The Much Needed Prepaid Electricity Meters Now Sell For N60,000- Punch Newspaper by Olalan(m): 7:10am On Mar 10, 2015
one of the biggest scam of the 21st century is the so called privatisation of the power sector. Nigerians now have to pay so much for consuming epileptic power supply. The bills they bring these days is something else imagine a three bedroom flat paying 8k per month for 5hrs of power per day. Worst hit are people without meters.
