I got married 2019, unfortunately i discovered there was a clerical mistake on my government issued marriage certificate. My occupation was recorded as self-employed whereas i was employed.
We have an ongoing student visa, and we have been asked to submit a government issued marriage certificate (we initially submitted the one we got from mosque plus a marriage affidavit, just to avoid explaining the mistake, because it might lead to conflict of information).
What do you suggest we do?
Will an affidavit addressing the clerical mistake suffice?

1. For this particular course it took so long. Applied January and got the admission early May.
2. Yeah, they do. I used English proficiency letter.

I got my AM today my people.

Funded on Interview day thereafter sent my BA confirmation to embassy second day after interview.
Approval Mail: 22.08.2019.

Intended School: University Of Kassel.

You're not thorough enough in your searching. I studied Political Science for Bachelors too. There are lots of courses you will find on DAAD. Mostly free tuition. But the problem now is, most schools admission deadline is passed already. But that you couldn't find courses related to your preference is not possible.

Well mine is still showing same but they mailed me yesterday that my application for their master's program; Master's International Relations: Global Governance and Social Theory is successful and congratulated me on getting accepted into the program( a friend got a rejection mail for the program) and my admission letter will be sent early June via mail. So send them a mail and ask for their decision outcome.

I totally wanted to agree with you because his new passport will contain both his old and new passport number but my only fear is that his passport expired since 2017 meaning he had a long time to renew same but didnt.

Exactly my argument to myself . I already canceled the appointment. I hope to fasten up my renewal and get it soon and apply again. Playing safe is better in a situation like this. Thank you all for your thoughts on it.

Nothing to worry about. Just go with both passports. Don't cancel and rebook cos there are a lotttttttttttttttt of people who booked since last week and haven't gotten dates yet.
So just go with both passports on ur date. And show them to your VO. normally, ur new passport would carry all old information.
Someone here has done that before, and is currently in DE

Now I'm confused as on which step to take. I feel it's a risk worth it and show them my previous passport. But on here, some people have advised otherwise. Thank you bro.

They haven't updated their website as regards admission status. They sent me a mail that I have been admitted and will send my admission letter via mail early June.

I'm currently in a fix right now. Just applied for appointment at the embassy but did booking with my expired passport and I'm yet to receive my renewed passport which should be around next week. Now I was just informed that my passport number will likely change( I wasn't aware about this) as against the one I used in booking appointment. What do you guys think I should do? The passport expired 2017. Should I cancel the appointment or mail them and explain.

Studied Political Science. I have a 3.63 Nigerian CGPA. That's 2,0 German scale. You can mail them and ask about it.
