I recently met a beautiful young lady who has never been married but has a daughter with a guy who isn't taking up much of the responsibility.

I have a good job and can obviously take care of the basics. The issue started from when I started giving her some money randomly not for any particular purpose. She called me recently and said her daughter's school fee is due and how much am I bringing.

In my head, she is not my child so why do you want to push the responsibility on me so fast. If I ask about the dad, she'll say I shouldn't worry because he's irresponsible.

We're not intimate yet because she said no sex before marriage, na that one we still dey fight about.

My question is, is it ok for her to ask me for her child fees just because we're dating or am I supposed to automatically take up the girls upkeep because I'm dating her mother?

Good evening, everyone. I (21M) am currently a final-year undergraduate of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at a federal university in Nigeria. I am sorry for the nebulous title of "Am I wasting my time", I just feel I need to get some things off my chest today as I have been feeling very suicidal and hopeless lately.

I have suffered from chronic low self-esteem since I was a child. I grew up as some sort of academic prodigy, but everyone around me profiled me as an idiot due to my sluggishness and social anxiety. I have tried to break out of that low self-esteem box, but it only gets worse when I try to do something about it. So, I developed an escapist attitude towards my problems, gradually losing touch with reality. Admittedly, I also struggle with some sort of egotism (a complex case of being self-absorbed and feeling lesser than everyone particularly) and perfectionism.

Last year, staring down from my "ivory towers", I realized that I have probably wasted 21 years of my life. I have no friends, I don't feel purposeful, everyone hates me, I hate myself, I have no religion, I have nothing to believe in, I am hopeless, I really can't account for the time I have spent on earth. I plunged into a well of severe depression this year, I couldn't continue developing my software engineering skills (despite the ASUU strike) and building my career due to an overwhelming feeling of depression-induced lethargy. Each day, it feels like I am wasting oxygen and being an unnecessary burden on my parents and family.

Now that school has resumed, I can't focus on my studies. I am on a ridiculously strong first class grade (>4. — for an idiot like me, and I feel I might just waste it at this final period, like I have done with my entire life. I really don't have anywhere to run to now, my whole world has collapsed. I know how selfish and stupid commiting suicide is, but I just feel it's high time I left the world to avoid wasting more time and resources.

Please forgive the long and unstructured post, I am sobbing as I write because I really need help!!! my demons are taking control of my mind and I am losing my grasp. I am not a bad person, I just want to live a simple, purposeful, and peaceful live. I will be 22 in April, Am I just wasting my time here, can I still re-start living from scratch at this old age?

Well, to me, as far as I didn’t cheat on my wife or subject her to domestic violence, the day she park her things out of my house, for any reason aside from the two I mentioned, is the day we stop being couple. Women are being spending their hubbies money from the beginning of time without any issues. You’re making unnecessary fuss just because your husband spent your money. You never trusted him from the beginning, that’s why you sent the money directly to the seller, and not to your husband. You also have ego issue, by saying you want a land in your name when you’re legally married. Your hubby trusted you to some extent, reason why you can access his phone. It’s true that when a woman makes money, she start thinking she doesn’t need a man. All these working class women and their wahala sef. Go and marry yourself ma’am.

Putting strict policy that puts your citizens under constant surveys which maintenance law and order doesn't mean you hate your citizens , china won't be what it is today if the government wasn't strict with it's 1.402 billion population , they are on the right path to greatness they might own almost everything in Africa in yrs to come

and that “strict policy “ applies to the politicians also, not only the citizens. Unlike Nigeria where strict policies are for the masses, while politicians enjoy impunity.
