Hi guys, please I have a question regarding gift deeds. If my sister is sending the money to my account. I'm aware I am to provide a Letter of Explanation (LOE), and notarize the gift deed. But do I also have to show/provide her account statement?

Thank you

Hi guys, I'm new here and I have a few questions please.

I've written my IELTS (wrote it on July 8 ) and my result is online, but for me to complete my application and enter the pool, I need my "test form reference number". This number is only available on the hard copy and British Council has not sent that to me.

Any idea on what I can do? I've called severally, emailed and even sent a message on twitter, but no response.

Please advice.

Also what are my chances of getting an ITA?

I'm 25 with a BSc, and my IELTS results are LRWS: 9,8.5,7,8.5

Thank you

Technology Market / Smarter Grid International Solar Home Systems by Olanna95: 2:46pm On Jan 03, 2018
With the influx of various solar home systems in the Nigerian market today, it is difficult to differentiate and know which of them would be most suitable for your home.

Introducing to you the SGI (Smarter Grid International) Solar Home Systems!

The systems come in various packages, created to meet specific needs, and also gives the option of paying in installments. They run a lease-to-own system, which means after payment is completed, the whole system becomes yours.

Another fun fact is their 2 year warranty, meaning if anything happens to the product within 2 years they will replace.

Here is a breakdown of their prices and packages:

BIG Yellow Telly: comes with - 32' TV, Free to Air Decoder, 5 LED Bulbs, a 180W Battery & 55W Solar Panel (N8,142 monthly)
BIG Yellow Fanny: comes with - Standing Fan(s), 5 LED Bulbs, 180W Battery, & 55W Solar Panel (N5,271 monthly)
BIG Yellow Simply: comes with - 4 LED Bulbs, Radio, 72W Battery, & 20W Solar Panel (N3,350 monthly)
BIG Yellow Lighty: comes with - 7LED Bulbs, 144W Battery & 55W Solar Panel (N4,671 monthly)
BIG Yellow Biz: comes with - 1 LED Bulb, Multi Charging Station, 144W Battery & 55W Solar Panel (N5,470 monthly)

Technology Market / Best Solar Home System In Nigeria by Olanna95: 9:56am On Jan 02, 2018
So I've been on the lookout for a solar system that works, I've tried the mtn lumos and that was a total waste of money. I found these SGI guys when they came to my area to advertise. If anyone is interested I can post the details of each of their packages, but I'm using their fanny package and I pay about 5k monthly. So impressed with their solar panel and battery, if anyone knows any other good solar systems please recommend. Its working well so far, but just to be on the safe side I would like a backup because the light situation in my area is messed up.

Celebrities / Re: Lumos Sells 60,000th Y’ello Box To Lagos Farmer by Olanna95: 3:29pm On Dec 21, 2017
XYPHERRIL:
Electricity has remained a major challenge to citizens of the Africa’s largest economy despite government spending trillions of Naira to solve the problem.

It was this problem Lumos Nigeria saw that brought about its Y’ello Box, an at-home solar electricity device that lets users gain access to reliable electricity at an affordable price.

This week, the mobile solar energy firm sold its 60,000th Y’ello Box to a farmer in Lagos identified as Mr. John Stephen Akpan.

The Lumos service is combining the power of the sun and your MTN mobile phone to bring a new type of power to Nigeria.

This significant milestone means more than 300,000 people right across Nigeria are now benefitting from affordable, reliable, clean electricity, thanks to the Lumos Mobile Electricity serviceability to unleash the power of the mobile.

Mobile phones have transformed the way we spend our daily lives. In fact, a recent report declared Nigeria as the ‘world’s most mobilized country’ with more mobile traffic than any other nation. With more and more mobiles, they not only drive our demand for more accessible and reliable power, but they can also help provide the solution.

Lumos Mobile Electricity Service operates in partnership with MTN and once MTN customers join the service, they pay their monthly subscription fee for power from their MTN’s mobile phones by texting a simple code.

There’s no need for mobile money, bank accounts or expensive machines. This is quick, easy, affordable, quiet and clean.

Commenting on his landmark purchase, Mr. John Stephen Akpan, said, “The Y’ello Box is making a big difference. I was using a noisy, polluting generator, but now that Lumos has arrived, my farm has been transformed instantly.

“I was surprised at how easy and quick the installation was, and that I was able to start using it straight away.”

On the part of Yuri Tsitrinbaum, CEO of Lumos Nigeria, “The mobile revolution has transformed our need for power, and the mobile electricity service is also going to be a significant part of the answer.

“The Nigerian economy will thrive if we give people the power they need to succeed. We cannot wait, and we need put power in everyone’s own hands.

“At Lumos, we have built a unique system that uses groundbreaking technology to harness the energy of the sun, capture and store it, and release it thanks to your mobile phone.

“The energy mix in Nigeria is a complex issue which we all need to work together to solve. We believe we have created something fantastic that is bringing power to people’s homes and businesses like nothing else before.”
