It's funny I remember Dele Cole's posters for the same reasons, the unique surname helped too, but even then, with the tiny little knowledge of politics or anything sef, I knew Dele stood no chance. AjanleKoko:Thank you oo, my brother. I remember the battle very clearly because I was in Lagos at the time. On holiday on the Island and I can still recollect all the posters then - splashed everywhere. Even those of contestants at Federal level like Patrick Dele Cole. Not old enough to vote but I have always been a political animal. So I was interested in the whole process. I think I was in JSS or something like that, not sure again. |
Henry46:Isale-gangan informed me about your thread |
Beaf: You're right jare. Dem all hate |
Yomi Edu was the choice of Sarumi camp after he was disqualified. And, they refused to step down for Agbalajobi. The mainl battle was between Sarumi and Edu. ^^http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NIgerianWorldForum/message/142182 |
At that time, the governorship was considered a “sure bet” for the SDP, when an internal crisis broke out over who among late Professor Femi Agbalajobi and Chief Dapo Sarumi, should become the party’s flag bearer for the electionhttp://www.africanoutlookonline.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=767:fasholas-second-term-bid-shaky |
