Doctors for 24 hours consultation in your village right?.. lol.. some people are stibbornly ignorant.
How many countries have you been?even in india an emerging market country you will meet a doctor at any hour in a government hospital doing is own shift. Go and sleep

What exactly do you understand by the term "working hours" and why exactly do you think working hours in every organisation must be the same?... If this particular hospital has 9:00am for instance as it's official start time, of which they choose to carry out morning prayers by 08:30am, how exactly is that your freaking business what they do before their official start time?

To correct another gaffe you keep repeating, no normal hospital around the globe operates a 24 hour consultation service, some hospitals don't even offer consultation services on all weekdays. You claimed to be exposed so I'm confused why you wouldn't know this. A patient can only be attended to outside official consultation hours if and only if it is an emergency. Stop embarrassing yourself abeg; several people on this thread have explained this to you.
You are the holy holy person decieving yourself.if it happens in a government hospital , hopefully they will be disciplined.it is probably good only in mental people home ,were people need mind control.

They do shifts ,and people are paid per hour of work and it's 24hrs .it is wrong to pray in the hospital .it is wrong .

[quote author=obailala post=78040456]There's nothing wrong with my reasoning; rather there's everything wrong with you horribly bigoted reasoning. You speak so much about the "developed world this and the developed world that," but you clearly have no idea how anything works anywhere outside your little enclave. If you're truly experienced in the ways of the developed world as you so claim, you wouldn't be so averse to 'orderliness'.

In the developed climes you talk about, you cant just walk into a freaking hospital and expect to be attended to without an appointment or outside official consultation hours except you have an emergency - The rules are simple, and your ability to follow them without coming to lament online is a simple measure of your level of exposure.

Outside consultation hours, if it is the culture of the clinic or hospital to observe whatever kind of prayer or tradition ritual, it is not your freaking business what they do in their own time. You only have a right to complain if their prayer or break time or whatever it is overlaps your appointment time.

If you have a problem with people practicing their faith, spit it out already and stop beating about the bush trying to teach anyone here about how exposed you are. With your much acclaimed level of exposure, if you still do not know how to respect the the personal time of others and show tolerance, then you're not in anyway better than the unexposed man living in a fores

Just trying to suite your own narrative, nobody will be praying during working hours and,and you can walk in to see a doctor on duty because it is 24h service, and people are paid per hours ,so you cannot do that,it is a private business, you pray at home or privately.stop supporting rubbish ,they teach ethics ,and you should also use common sense.

So because a person is a doctor, they shouldn't have a personal life outside their patients right?... Everything else they do is "USELESS" right?.. If a patient comes outside consultation hours, the doctors and nurses should leave everything else in their lives and attend to a patient who can't stick with a clearly communicated appointment time?
Your reasoning is terrible,it will take several year to dislodge the shit in your brains.get some exposure outside of you enclave.

Religion is not for the rational minded; they are two opposing things. There's a reason RELIGION is alternatively called "FAITH". Faith is all about believing in things that are NOT, as if to say they WERE. If you are trying to be rational or logical, you cannot have faith; you have to choose one - Faith or Rationality! And when we make our choices, we should try to respect the choices made by others.
I have met rational minded fellow with knowledge about almost everything religion and different types of religion,I have met researchers searching and researching missing pages in the Bible, yet they don't behave has stupid has one Nigerian religious people.they don't even call themselves pastors.do you know the meaning of pastor in other countries of world.you think is this place that everybody calls themselves pastors.this action is stupid.

Freedom of religion and belief is a right in the UK. There's nothing wrong with a person choosing to pray in a hospital for a patient or anywhere else. It only becomes a problem if the patient or the family of the patient disapproves it and you still go ahead to pray by fire by force. Heck! prayer mustn't be restricted to a building called church
You can't do that in the u.k ,it's not professional, and the person risk jail.religion with common sense is what is accepted not stupidity.if they were into morning service, afternoon sevice ,Sunday service will they have developed up this level.all the equipment used in the hospital nonhas been produced here.Infact you can be jailed in most developed world trying this nonsense.

So because the law in the UK persecutes someone for having a religious faith, does that necessarily make it a right and proper thing?
You cannot be rational in thinking when you become so religious.

This is common sense, religion is different from professionalism.it does not make sense zyhe hospital is not a church.its for services.

NYSC works for me....

The sad thing is we can scrap NYSC...and at the end of the day, there would be no doctors or nurses in the villages. , and no teachers in most vilalge schools.

I was posted to a local government area for my NYSC. There were two of us working in the LGA. If we were not there...there was only ONE government doctor...and that guy was around from Mondays to Wednesdays., and was available in thesmall clinic in the Lga headquarters. The nearest general hospital was in the next state.,
The scheme has outlived it's usefulness after the civil war, there was asystem in place before 1973 when it was setup.in some countries of the world including Finland you have to go for complusory military service.

Well, most countries too run a successful central system....eg China.

Also, regionalising the education system could hurt rather than help. For example, in order to increase numbers of educated students, regions might be forced to lower standards.

JAMB works. It's the funding and the quality that need improvement. But we have a poor budget, and resistance to the idea of raising standards.
NySc is also rubbish , integration of Nigerians should be by language, marriage ,tourism accross the country not Nysc.it is just a business for some few people.

Deng Xiaoping in China decentralized education system in China and increased funding .so it is the same approach, you get the best when you decentralize.jamb is not good because it lowered standards ,and some of the products run the country down.regions will be in competition , it is fiscal federalism and you are in competition, the west in Nigeria had free education ,first TV station. This system slows down ever body.mention a country with this same system with a good educational system.

Not exactly....resturcituring won't do much.

The problem is, we have to find money for the schools. Restructuring won't change that.

At the same time, we have to raise standards. Restructuring won't change that.

By the way, there are a lot of good doctors in Nigeria who did not go to UI. Especially abroad. I should know...I am a doctor.
Well, regions finances priorities and concentrate on the type of education that will enable them grow.in India they have been able to concentrate. some states are known for different types of education, and are now moving in nanotech.jamb is not a good meaurement of knowledge and have stopped many people ,who later did something else.political system , determines economic and social outcomes.

That's true.

But the truth is, schools are poorly funded because in the 1960's and 70's, government built a lot of them, and to add to the palaver, government took over Missionary schools.

At the same time, the policy of free and cheap education came into play.

The result...today we are sustaining hundreds of schools, primary, secondary and university on a budget of 900bn naira...ie 2 billion dollars. Meanwhile, New York State, USA (NOT the town, the state)...is spending 35.7 billion on education.

That's why we have teachers and students using ancient books and desks and methods...it's what we can pay for.

Of course...increasing fees would lead to riots. Handing over schools back to missionaries and//or private bodies....riots.

You cannot pay N200 for a car costing N8million
It's unitrary federal system that has centralized education ,it is just simple .in the past a region designs is own education and type of education and research. All this jamb and nysc ,and other centeraliazed organization we basically done to destroy the system. Most of the doctors you meet abroad in the past, studied at the University college ibadan.only restructuring can help us .

That's not a man with balls but just an old, hungry and disgruntled PDP's apologist. He's simply looking for attention and I trust my own president, Buhari. He doesn't have time for fools looking for attention. He's not the first attention seeker and he won't be the last.
That is not true ,he his not a member of any political party and he his not hungry. He has been in the media before you were born and so what is the need for attention at 90years.reetructuring is very important to him and that was what atiku promised them ,at worst implement the recommendations of the GEJ conference document. This man is a positive thinker.it is the same igbos that will not allow the restructuring to take place ,together with their hausa fulani partners.
