Quorax:You need to think critically to understand many things and not just looking at from the lense of your tribe.Your tribe has been a problem to the progressives in this country,if you study the history of elections in Nigeria you will find out that igbos have always voted against the wishes of the Yoruba people and support the northern aspirations. You can see the result of their leadership over the years.if you people reason and join forces, this guys will be out.but that will never happen,I hope you know this guys cannot give you baifra or referedum but a Yoruba president will give you baifra or referedum to be free.but you always support northners and have never been in opposition.this is the first time in many years that the people that want good for the Yoruba race are in alliance with the center, and they were not given a chance to participate fully because they don't want restructuring. |
Quorax:So what will he the gain of your region after. |

Wiseandtrue:He was the one that set the template for fashola, templates takes years to come to reality .He created 57lcda,s in lagos ,and they have refused to recognize them even with his party in power,He increased the revenue generated in lagos and commenced infrastructural development has well has building a political structure from the grass root. Folwer has contributed more to this government without being noticed than anyone else . |
Wiseandtrue:Tinubu wanted to participate in government and contribute to government with a Lagos template with restructuring at the background ,he was never allowed to participate and contribute fully to government. They saw him has a threat to the future 20023 and also to maintain the staus quo and remain this way and not move an inch. They are now using propaganda against the man to discredit him ahead of 2023. |
Wiseandtrue:Formed in February 2013, the party is the result of a merger of Nigeria's three biggest opposition parties – the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), a faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the new PDP - a faction of then ruling People's Democratic Party.[13][14] The resolution was signed by Tom Ikimi, who represented the ACN; Senator Annie Okonkwo on behalf of the APGA; Ibrahim Shekarau, the Chairman of ANPP's Merger Committee; and Garba Shehu, the Chairman of CPC's Merger Committee.[15] Ironically, less than 2 years before the party's historic victory in the 2015 elections, Messrs. Annie Okonkwo, Tom Ikimi and Ibrahim Shekarau resigned from the party and joined the PDP.[16][17] [18] The party received approval from the nation's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on 31 July 2013 to become a political party and subsequently withdrew the operating licenses of the three parties that merged (the ACN, CPC and ANPP). In March 2013, it was reported that two other associations – African Peoples Congress and All Patriotic Citizens – also applied for INEC registration, adopting APC as an acronym as well, reportedly "a development interpreted to be a move to thwart the successful coalition of the opposition parties, ahead of the 2015 general elections."[19] It was reported in April 2013 that the party was considering changing their name to the All Progressive Congress of Nigeria (APCN) to avoid further complications.[20] In November 2013, five serving Governors from the governing PDP defected to the APC, as well as 49 legislators who joined the ranks of 137 legislators in the APC as a result of the prior merger of the smaller opposition parties.[21][22][23] This initially gave the APC a slim majority of 186 legislators in the Lower House out of a total of 360 legislators; however, subsequent political wrangling and pressure from political factions and interests outside the National Assembly of Nigeria, gave the party only 37 additional legislators thus giving the APC a nominal majority of 172 out of 360 Legislators, as opposed to the PDP's 171 (though some smaller PDP-allied parties hold the balance of the other seats.[24] This was further confirmed when the party seated 179 members on 15 January 2015 when the House resumed after a long recess to finally affirm its majority.[25] The governors who defected to the APC were Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State, Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State, Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State and Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto State. It had been previously reported that Governors Mu'azu Babangida Aliyu of Niger State and Sule Lamido of Jigawa State were set to defect from the People's Democratic Party to the APC; however, both ended up remaining with the People's Democratic Party. In the 2015 elections, Mu'azu Babangida Aliyu ran as a senatorial nominee of the People's Democratic Party for the Niger State east senatorial district, losing in a landslide to the APC's David Umaru.[26] On 12–13 December 2014, the APC was admitted as a consultative member into the Socialist International.[27] On 4 July 2018, important members who were earlier identified as nPDP caved again out from APC to formed "Reformed APC" this is done ahead of 2019 general election. The formation of the R-APC made the opposition, the PDP the majority in the Senate. |
“Tinubu is older than Buhari, he cannot be the president of Nigeria in 2023” – Miyetti Allah leader The National President, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Abdullahi Bodejo, has said that the contribution of National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari was exaggerated. He disclosed this in an explosive interview published by Saturday Sun. According to Bodejo, Tinubu was one of many persons that came together to ensure Buhari’s victory in 2015 but had much less influence in the 2019 presidential polls. He said that insinuations that Tinubu wpuld replace Buhari after his second term were therefore not justified. The Miyetti Allah leader further noted that calls that power should shift to the Southern part of Nigeria in 2023 were misplaced. Bodejo said: I have told you that 2015 is now history. Even me talking to you now, do you know the role I played in 2015? People played all manner of politics in 2015 and Tinubu was not the only person. What I know is that Tinubu cannot be the president of Nigeria. That is the truth. He is very old and maybe older than President Buhari. Some people see Tinubu like one big masquerade but he is not. Some think that he is the Yoruba leader but he is not. He is also like Obasanjo; some people see the former president as a small god but he is not. In my last interview before the election, I said it that Obasanjo has only one vote like any other person. What happened? Did it not turn out like that? Everybody’s eyes are already open now. If Tinubu is recognized by the Yoruba people as their leader, why did Buhari score 50 per cent there? Why did he not ask them to give him like even 60 per cent at least? Tinubu has failed and that is the truth. Or are you telling me that Tinubu did anti-party activities by telling the South West to share the votes 50/50 to APC and PDP? *Tinubu won’t be president of Nigeria* *– National President, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Abdullahi Bodejo* *Some prominent voices in the North are already projecting that after President Buhari that power will not come down to the Southern region; do you support the North retaining power in 2023?* Yes, power is going to remain in the North. Tell me one person in the South that is nationally accepted that can rule Nigeria like Buhari? The people who made Nigeria what it is today are from the North. People like Awolowo and Zik tried but where are such people in the South now? That time, they were patriotic and they did not allow themselves to be deceived with the issues of religion and ethnicity. They were patriotic and they believed in Nigeria. But most of the people now from the South who say they want to be president of Nigeria are not patriotic. They are selfish. Most politicians from the North are concerned about the unity of Nigeria and how to keep the country together, and not what they will gain from the position. God forbid that some kind of people would start ruling the country; I see some people that if you give them power, they can just concentrate everything in one area. *The South West has been supporting Buhari, and power brokers from the region were instrumental to the formation of the APC and the President’s victory in 2015. Why are you not in support of power going to the South West?* You are talking about 2015; it has passed and is now history. Remember that former President Olusegun Obasanjo ruled the country for eight years. In 2019, the South West gave Buhari 50 per cent of their votes and you say they should be supported to be president. They played real politics in 2019. I am not a politician but they played the real game of politics in 2019. They divided their votes 50/50 for the two major parties. Nobody should say the South West made Buhari to win. No; Buhari won the election clearly and he was voted by all Nigerians who love him. Nobody should come out to say, he is the person that made Buhari to win. Even spirits voted for Buhari in the election. *Do you know that without the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Tinubu, Buhari would not have made it in 2015?* I have told you that 2015 is now history. A gateman has rejected the offer of a house as parting gift from his Indian employer and instead requested for a borehole to be constructed for his community. Musa Usman, who hails from Giljimmi, a Fulani settlement in Birniwa Local Government Area of Jigawa State, lives with his family in a thatched house. ADVERTISEMENT Usman, who has served the Indian national, who is the Managing Director of Jawa International Limited, a pharmaceutical company based in Lagos, was leaving his boss after 25 years of service, to join his family in the village. When Usman was leaving, Mr. V. Verghese, MD of Jawa International Limited, decided to build a house for him in appreciation of his diligent service while he was his gateman. ADVERTISEMENT However Usman, whose community is suffering from acute water shortage, rejected the offer of a house and in its place requested for the construction of a borehole for his people. The people in Usman’s community, who hitherto had to trek long distance to fetch drinking water, are now relieved from the anguish of not only the long trek but also of drinking unclean water. In his response, Usman thanked Mr. Verghese for the kind gesture, saying he had no regret rejecting the house offer. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/gateman-rejects-house-offer-for-borehole-in-his-community.html?fbclid=IwAR0vl3P-I6_8YGKtqEpU785tbW4-VBJudzm5e2_HLe-Z0DMB_vZrPw9X2q8 |
