You don't want police to do their jobs because there might be some bad eggs amongst them or what?
As for saying a policeman in Kano cannot work in Lagos begins to showcase your personality and intent.
By the way, most police officers, at least of the rank and file, are from the local areas or speakers of the language of the area they police. Its bloody lie the sars officers that shot my brother were all from northern nigeria.which job is the police doing ?outdated and the worst police in the the whole world.harrassing, killing and destroying families. |

The act of online scamming is a crime and blight on our reputation as individuals of this nation.
In the States they've been breaking down doors for decades when drugs are suspected to be housed in a place. So what is different about our own?
Can't remember the title of the programme I used to watch on ITV in the UK, that chronicles their police raid on premises.
Because they are Nigerian policemen you cannot afford them the same privilege you would accord others anywhere else.
By the way, can't count the number of countries I've been to. Do you the the number people that have been killed by these guys.they have destroyed families and cursed sorrow .you can kill somebody in a civilized society .their duty is not even to chase after yahoo boys.tbey just need money and make a living.that is why we need to restructure the country.how can you come from kano and come and be policing and killing people in lagos. you should also get out.you are awaiting gun shots from them also.oloshi |

I've worked a lot with both policy makers and politicians at both the federal and state levels, I know how they think, I could be wrong but I see no future in dissolving states and returning to regions. n educate me on the advantages of states vs regions thanks |

oooduancalmdown: Not forever but Nigeria will split. The Northerners will get tired one day. In fact, they were tired, hence, last year their youths ordered ibos to leave their land. The only reason the north won't leave Nigeria is because of the sea and not crude oil. They are landlocked and want access to sea. 'One Nigeria' is not real. It is all lies. Nigeria cannot last forever. It is a time bomb they are not the only landlock region, they have acceas to land borders ,but they will have to pay to ship in tbeir goods to the west when its restructured.they own the ports and customs.this kinds of jobs are like super jobs,i know an hausa lady that takes home 7million everyday from a lagos port ,apart from salary, its really lucurative for them and they will die defending it. |

Mo ti gbo but me I know Nigeria won't restructure. forever and ever?its a matter of time ,you know despite the the poverty figures are rising, and their a correlation between poverty and unrest, crime etc,it will force them to think of what they can do and its proper.management of resources to accelerate human and physical development.the southwest already has its own agend and working towards it.lagos and ogun can now power the rest of the southwestern state and support them and take development to the people. |

Jethrolite: Where they operating the state system before changing back to regions? You can not take a system because it is working elsewhere and impose in on Nigeria. You need to consider the dynamics of the Nigerian state. we had a regional system in the past and state creation was after the collapse of regions.gowon was first to introduce to12 and they started to increase expenditure and creating poverty everywhere.under the regional government we had the first tv station, teaching hospitals ,universities, farm settlements, the development was fast and if it had continued ,we would have created a country bros. |

oooduancalmdown: Sister mi, lets be truthful to ourselves. Nigeria can never be restructured. The North won't support it. Even if Yoruba, Niger deltans, Igbos, and middle belt do, it won't be enough. People that agitate for restructuring are not sincere or they are simply wasting their time. Nigeria will never be restructured Yea , its being rough because the igbos and hausas back then could not match or compete with what was happening in the western region, their was fiscal federal system and competition was high, dont forget many parts of the nigerdelta were under the control of western region. But they were not happy with the type of money and development taking place.it will happen .they northerners think its advantage, but they are noy distributing resources to themselves.despite taking possession of valuables in many parts of nigeria . |
Politics › Re: There's No Alternative To Restructuring - Atiku Counters President Buhari by olas24u(f): 12:13pm On Jun 27, 2018 |
Jethrolite: I sometimes think in terms of regions but I believe if states are dissolved into regions it will create unnecessary agitation that could lead to the whole process failing.
Copying what America is doing is better than collapsing states into regions then bringing in the federal system. If Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Edo and Delta States are collapsed to form a region, that would be a region too big to properly handle but as we currently are with governors and LG chairmen, that is by far a better organisation and government will become very responsible to the people as most developmental activities would be handled by LG chairmen with states handling inter LG affairs.
There also would be no need for money wasting agencies like PTDF, NDDC and others. d the ghanaians created regions in kenya counties ,soutj africa regions and they have peace and prosperity and good management system.uk,canada have a the same also.minorities should also have their own regions |

Jethrolite: A revenue balancing fund will be created to augment states with poor IGR or worst case, the states will be dissolved to form federating units with better income.
That said, there is no state in Nigeria that can not raise IGR astronomically but most governors are brain dead and are always looking forward to commissioner for finance returning with cheques from Abuja monthly. according to regions is better not according to states |
Politics › Re: There's No Alternative To Restructuring - Atiku Counters President Buhari by olas24u(f): 11:55am On Jun 27, 2018 |
oooduancalmdown: Whoever think Atiku will restructure this country is on a long thing. Nigeria will never be restructured. People only remember restructuring the country when agitating for seceesion become intense. We have been shouting for restructuring for three years and yet no step or progress has been made...not a single one. This is because Nigerians are not sincere. Another reason is that the core North are against it. The only option is to split the country. Splitting Nigeria is much easier than restructuring because it comes with a common goal, purpose and also has one definition. Restructuring can be defined in different ways by several people. It is ambiguous. 3 years .lol! how old are you? |
