BraniacX: We know he sourced $242 through the FG, how much did he source locally and how much has the project cost so far? with fluctuating exchange rates and tariffs by the government of Good luck , its affects the cost and planning and they may adjust the plan due to exchange fluctuation that will be used to buy input to complete the projects.so the value of 242 dollars 6 years ago is different from its value today.Unless the incentives include waivers on imported items for the project. |

BraniacX: We know he sourced $242 through the FG, how much did he source locally and how much has the project cost so far? But you write as if lagos is being dashed the money .I dont know the details of the funding of the project ,but federal government did not dash lagos the money and the road is also a federal road so you will need to partner to do projects on it.Lagos can easily pay back the money with ease .because its a viable state. The project is ongoing and not a failed project |

BraniacX: True, then back to your statement on the loans being local in origin.............care to elucidate? When banks borrow you the money ,or individuals and some times third parties who get money at cheap rates and then lend it to states government, they are all still domestic debts.Foreign money comes in single digits as low as 4% while you cannot get 4% locally .That was what i meant .And they borrow in the name of Nigeria not state |

BraniacX: Yes, go back and read what you posted, you denied the FG being party to the loan (it was locally obtained) and recognised the FG's role (in your words "support" ) in obtaining same loan (because foreign loans are cheaper) all in the same sentence
Gerritt? If you go abroad to borrow money ,you dont borrow as a state but as a country .Is that not true |

seges: I just read a thread where people where some fools were in support of Tompolo and Asari Dokubo threat of war if Goodluck Jonathan loses the election. Tompolo,Boyloaf and Asari Dokubo are not freedom fighters like Che Guevara or Fidel Casto, but oil bunkerers and pirates out for their own selfish intersts. Why did Tompolo buy a private jet and 7 warships and Asari Dokubo build a University in Benin Republic what does this have to do with the Niger Delta struggle? If war breaks out AsarI dokubo will run to Benin Republic and Tompolo will run out of the country, this people are all about enriching their pockets and don't care about the so called Niger Delta struggle put protecting their oil pipeline contracts and oil bunkering territory. I hate to see fools on nairaland support this people. I lived in Warri and these Militiants never did anything for the community whatsoever the ones in town involved in oil bunkering bought really expensive cars and spent it drinking and chasing women. These militants are not freedom fighters go to all the communities they come from do you see them building boreholes, renovating schools, buying medicine for their communities no you don't they are nothing but criminal gangs that the goverment has to pay to keep oil flowing. why did he locate the school over there in Benin ?DOnt you guys have lands in southsouth |

Also his grasp of english is poor. he will be better off retiring to his cattle rearing tbh. He has been an head of state before and most of his speeches and interviews are on youtube. Many corrupt people dont want him,so you have to watch your speeches .Awolowo openly said he was going to prosecute obasanjo back then and obasonjo was part of the people that frustrated him and handed over to shagari. So w hat you say matters |

Look for another excuse or better yet look inward when looking for scapegoats to blame. Fashola and the APC's failures are theirs and theirs alone. Spare us your typical APC ranting and bulk passing.[
they are local debts with interest and lagos will pay back not the federal government.Borrowing from external sources are cheaper from borrowing locally ,so the federal government supports lagos when obtaining the loans |

Kenai: The administration that held back Lagos funds was run by the same OBASANJO you and your party heroes are currently worshipping as your "Navigator".
So get this - Not only are you pushing to crown the SAME man who killed Jakande's metro rail project as your president, you are also worshipping the SAME guy who held back Lagos funds (and threatened the well-being of 18 million people) as your current NAVIGATOR.
Stockholm Syndrome or plain old Stupidity? You decide. May you tomorrow be better than your today! If you get that right you will know that know body knows tomorrow, but you can project tomorrow empirically .Obj is a complicated personality within the Nigerian political space. So am not a fan of Obj,he his fighting for his own survival .You call him a Navigator because of the information at your own disposal, the amount of information at the door step of people that made him their navigator is different from the information you have which maynot be real.I have taught about him many times ,because he helped to install Yaradua and Yardua rejected him after? He helped to install Good luck and Good luck rejected him after?so for you to reject somebody that helped you to such positions means the man must have some issues .Buhari came to fight corruption and maintain discipline,so you dont know why you did what he did back then. But it affected lagos and its people |

Did you make any formal request for help?
You think say FG na father Christmas? When the federal government withheld the funds for lagos because it was an opposition party state ,it helped lagos to look for alternatives and they generated internally funds over billions from millions before.Lagos and Rivers are the only viable states in Nigeria That can generate and pay salaries without federal government .Osun state is also coming up fast and in the future will generate more within. The federal government frustrated lagos power projects and starve lagos of electricity. |
