Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Vincent Ogbulafor on Wednesday said that the adoption of President Goodluck Jonathan as the party’s sole candidate for 2015 presidential election was in the right direction.

Ogbulafor told reporters in Abuja that the move would further stabilise the party.

He added that it would also ensure continuity of developmental projects currently executed by the Federal Government.

According to him, President Jonathan has done well to deserve another tenure in office as the country’s president.

“He has done well in the last four years and we want him to do more in the next four years,” Ogbulafor said.

He said that PDP stood a better chance of winning the presidential election “because of the current unity in the party”.

“Jonathan’s chances of winning the presidential election are 100 per cent,” he added.

Ogbulafor restated his prediction that PDP would rule the country for 60 years.

“There was a time it seemed that PDP was going to crumble but you can see that the party is getting stronger now,” he added.

Similarly, Rep. Uzo Azubuike (PDP-Abia) said that Jonathan, as sole candidate, would stabilise the polity.

Azubuike added that if there was continuity, it would make the country to overcome the prediction by United States of America that Nigeria would break up in 2015.

Azubuike said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would be in disarray after the presidential primaries because each of the contestants who lost will not be happy with the process they have gone through.

“Unlike PDP where we should have had multiplicity of contestants, we are speaking with one mind, and by the time they finish the primary, the party will be in disarray.

“So what the APC is doing is to the advantage of the PDP,” the lawmaker added.

Even the old mama feels bad about the situation ,A man stole billions meant for old people that have served Nigeria before .And the man is a free man,with all the old people die ing on long queues and not able to pay for their medical bills.How can PDP allow such a murderer of old people,because you slaughtered them by stealing their pension and making them live in penury.Heartless party .

If he had declared his presidential ambitions under another political party,apart from the ruling pdp and apc i would have voted for him. Not when he's in apc,surrounded by the likes of Tinubu and Amaechi. Although he may have good intentions for the nation,the cabal in apc will never allow him to work properly without sabotaging his efforts.

You dont need to think that way because you are not an insider ,information that you have sharpens your ideas and the way you will react to it. Tinubu was a freedom fighter and fought for the oppressed in the past ,so what changed?ask yourself The systems changes behavior.To be a leader in Nigeria you need money to control people and only few people can earn respect without money in the present day Nigeria .Its an extreme capitalist society in which the winner takes it all and you need about 10billion this was 1993 figures now to run a successful presidential campaign.You need money, to get money you have to create it and tinubu created it by increasing IGR in Lagos and he built the opposition through consultations and partnership, unity with other ethnic nationalities.So for the first in 16 years we have a strong opposition,money for money, thuggery for thuggery,propaganda for propaganda for propaganda ,it is 50/50.

Nigeria has been importing petroleum products for a very long time,previous governments has not done anything to stop this act by refurbishing and building newer refineries. What makes you think all that will change if or when Buhari takes over? I agree we do not need mathematicians to solve our socio-economic problems,but i don't think Buhari is the change Nigeria needs. I'm not supporting any political party,but i think GEJ and BUHARI associate themselves with known thieves and criminals. Where is the change then?

There is nothing you can do with the current template in which Nigeria currently runs,But Nigeria is the only OPEC member that imports oil,No shipping lines and cannot refine the oil,so something is wrong which the people there cannot also control.so you need a fearless person,discipline person incorruptible person,experience leader,patriotic leader.GMB and he his old and does not have anything to lose.He can fight th economic saboteurs who have deprived us of electricity, refineries ,airlines,shipping lines ,factories and other bad government policies that as encouraged dumping in Nigeria. Have you heard of Chinese investors competing with local business women in the market place.Nobody is protecting this women from the competition.They are meant to produce and not retail.
