Nice one but that is the pre Independent reason but the post independent reason is that why Cheif Awolowo and other southerner leaders were advocating for western education, encouraging parents to register their wards in school, Ahmadu Bello and co. in the North are also going from house to house asking parents to enroll their children in the Army. But in the end is a win win for both parties. My opinion |
