If you have been here long enough, you will answer the first two questions. My friend with a scholarship was refused!. Like I stated before I had a first class and a distinction but did not upload supporting documents neither did I state it. My study gaps are 2 years and a virgin passport.

You did tell us your full profile and what you share here is total inconclusive.

1) do have scholarship
2) did you use a sponsor

like we have all realize, there are standard situation that you don't need to explain anything and the applicant will definitely get a TRV. We need to be scientific here and been superstitious is making it difficult for others to learn.

also,

1) did you have a first class?
2) do you have less than 2 years "study gap"
3) is your planned program matching with the previous one?
4) is your program showing progression?
5) do you have travel history?

All these things are the cumulative factors that the VO use to take their decision.

As all the guru keep reminding us, you need SOP when there is something you need to explain in you application.

I broke almost all the laws and norms propagated here and got my visa. Nine (9) days before I printed my Statement of account, I had a closing balance of N2506.65. Well I applied with...(a large sum though)... Which I never explained because it was in the Letter of Explanation that I did not upload. Remember apart from proof of financial support documents, I did not upload any other document.

Heads are different, what can kill Mr. A. might not affect Mr. B.

Prepare a good application but never judge your application with the standard of any person who is not GOD. God controls everything, even the VO.

Rule 1. You can't transit USA without a transit visa or any other valid US visa.
Rule 2. You can't transit 2 European countries without a Schengen visa

That's why flights through these routes are cheap.

Just show proof that you can fund your tuition and living expenses. You can always call their graduate school for help. I did that a lot!

What does it take to apply for masters admission? Is it not a matter of uploading some documents and paying a fee?

You should be able to get reference letters from your undergraduate lecturers and draft a statement of purpose (if required).

I hate paying for what I can do myself.

I'm tired guys. I really am. I think someone should start a thread on Canadian graduate applications and guidelines. I applied to Manitoba through an agent and the idiot has refuses to release my application username and PW so I dont even know if I was accepted or rejected.

Trying to take my L in peace and move on but the stress to find another school, another masters program, application fees and all that is just weighing me down walahi.

You can mail it to their office in UK and update your address or simply ask a friend to submit and collect for you.

Boss, my BP can never go high just that my case is peculiar and I am praying to God for a decision before Monday next week. My UK student visa expires on the 21st. When I get my Canada application approved, I still need to submit my passport to VFS and get it back before 21st (it could take about a week to get passport stamped. I need to leave uk on or before 21st or I would be banned from UK.

Another alternative is to renew my UK visa via masters route (already have masters admission in UK) but I have to pay a non refundable deposit of £3,500 for school fees + £150 (iHS fees) + application fee. if I take this route, UKVI would be with my passport for 15 days or I apply for priority (5 days, cost about £500 upwards) or same day visa processing (premium service) which costs about £700. If I decide to take this route and my Canada application gets approved, I would have given UK almost 2M free.

So the question on my mind all week has been , should I pack my load from UK with faith believing I will get the Canada visa or I renew my UK visa with almost 2M?

Even if I apply faith, pack my load and leave UK, I still need to submit my passport when my Canada application is approved. How will I send my passport over from Nigeria to UK and then to VFS and then collect it back (I have to physically collect it or authorise someone to do this)? Canada school resumes sept 4th.

I wish I can take these guys to court, processing time says 1 week from UK, now I am stuck. It is 5 weeks already.

Link your application online to see what's happening to it. Either way, fill the web form and send emails to them.

I applied via paper route on the 8th of May, I have been tracking my application via VFS and it shows it is been processed. What do I do I haven’t heard anything from them and this is the 13weeks. There is a very high probability that the person will be approved. I guess there's been just one case of medical passed then before refused visa since I've been following this thread. My approval came within 3 hours of my upfront medical passed. A friend's approval came within 3 days. For paper route, they won't bother to ask you to go for medical if you will be refused.

Any VO will reject this application even me. Order for your GCMS note. But think about this.

1. Personal and financial status
You will definitely not come back because you did not show that you have a good job in Nigeria, that you are well paid and have assets. It's like a case of someone jobless traveling to canada.

Submit

Your 6 or 3 months Payslips and bank statement of account (with a good closing balance). A letter of introduction from your employer showing that you need the postgraduate course and it is essential to your career growth. A statement that you will be promoted after your study is perfect.

2. Purpose of visit
Show the relationship between BCH and Health care and Environmental Service Management (I don't even know). It's better to relate it with where you currently work and maybe past research (if you have done any project in that area). Tell them you are going purely for academic purposes and maybe no school in Nigeria takes the course or maybe they don't cover the area your chosen school does it or the prestige you get graduating from such a prestigious school huh

Though graduate diploma or masters will be better

3. Proof that you will leave
Show your strong family tie in Nigeria. Show that you will come back to your 'beloved' family in Nigeria . Your family member in Canada was seen as a tie to canada, this is mostly a reason for rejection. Since you have declared a family member, you've gat to weaken that bond, if a close settled family member, the person can write a letter that he or she will ensure you return to Nigeria at the end of your study. Prove to them know that you will leave 'their' country at the end of your studies to your family in Nigeria, your job and your assets. If you are the first child with all siblings in Nigeria, tell them that you have to take care of your parents and younger ones.
Is it even possible for your dad to write a letter stating that you will takeover his place in the company? And are you a staff in your dad's company?

(c) Based on you personal and financial status

•Have a Health security safety and Environment HSSE Certificate ( Level 1,2 and 3) 2017
•Did my one Nysc at Ministry of Environment and Mineral resources (nov 2016 to October 2017)

•All cic forms ( Including student questionnaire and family form)
•Statement of Result
•Nysc Certificate
•HSSE Certificate (level 1,2 and 3)

•The College offer letter

Also, I filled in my form that am working in my father’s company as the secretary, from January 12, 2018 till date.

What I totally don’t understand is my personal assets and financial status they are talking about, for Christ sake I stated my father is my sponsor..
Secondly, the Canada family ties , my family is here in Nigeria (father, mother and all my siblings), We just have one family friend in Canada which I also told them

Yes it does. But a friend was denied visa like that because of personal financial establishment. So add another sponsor say 2 persons e.g. an uncle (who stands to say I know this dude has a scholarship but I will support him with this amount of money). Show that you've got some cash in your account and ties back home.

In all you should have sponsorship of like twice the value of tuition + 10,000CAD per yera

And y do a graduate program (pgd I guess) when u have an MBA. Why Canada and not nigeria.
Don't just look desperate in your letter of intent or SOP but be convincing

I'll like to first apologize to people who may get angry that the alot of repetitive questions are being asked. I tried my best to get information from old threads and the CIC website.

This is my first time applying for a Canadian study permit. Got an admission to humber college for a graduate program in project management slated for the winter program January 2019. I have an MBA from Ahmadu Bello Zaria, and b.sc in banking and finance. I have been working for almost 3 years in customer care for a telecommunications company. That's for that.

So far, I realised one can apply online and just upload required documents. I hope it's ok to take pictures of documents and upload.

For clarification, required documents to upload online are, acceptance letter from university, birth certificate, police clearance (yet to be called to pick this up), upfront medical clearance (booked appointment date at prime medical is 31/07/2018), SOA from sponsor plus letter of introduction, plus canadian citizenship page of sponsor, employment letter and payslip of sponsor, letter of introduction from work place plus 6months payslip (learnt payslip not important though), employment letter, Nigerian passport (data page), proof of first semester tuition payment.

One last question, I guess visa application fee is paid immediately after application online, and later on the visa office calls for biometrics

Please once again, I apologise for taking us back

Family ties huh

Your family tie is a little issue which you have to explain well by drawing more ties to Nigeria and explain why you must come back home. That was one reason for paddy's rejection.

Don't take pictures, scan.

When i re-applied i didn't submit upfront medical because I could not wait for the report which was delayed as a result of system issues at children practice. I later went to the hospital and collected the medical report. 4 days ago, i scanned the report and sent a mail to lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca asking them to include the medical report to my application and I was surprised to see the medical update as passed today.

Is this normal?

Ultimately, no one should even try to send any mail before the 9weeks is complete. If you ask me, i would even say you give it one more week, say 10weeks, that's if you are patient enough. It kind of shows you are not desperate and your life is not on "pause mode" even though we know it might be. But asking that something is updated even when it's not 9weeks is pretty ridiculous. They may not even need it, I think Frank or someone got approved without a medical request on this platform. So you never know...

I understand it's quite tiring, but we really do not have a choice.

The points are:
1. He did his medical test after applying
2. He is not sending an e-mail with an urgent subject.
3. He's not stating in the e-mail that his application is overdue
4. I've seen posts where people wrote to IRCC and they updated their application (remember we discussed that on phone).

I do not think it is necessary for you to submit your SOA if your sponsor has sufficient fund and you are submitting his SOA. But, you can submit your SOA/pay slip to reveal your monthly pay if you have work experience or still working just to boost your claim.

There's a ground for refusal called personal establishment. Well if the person in question is trying to get into college for under-g no p. But if he/she wants to get into graduate school, it is bigly necessary.

I think he should. It will bring their attention to the matter and in fact his application. Rather than a medical request, he will get a medical passed.

Counting from June 20 his application has exceeded the processing time dont think it is advisable to do that now

For me I went in person to submit the passport and asked them to courier it to me in Benin City. When it was ready for pickup, they simply sent it via Ups to be delivered within 48 hours. I called their office to get the tracking number. So give them a call.

I applied for a study permit at the embassy, online route June 10th 2018,I did my biometrics 20th June 2018.

I also did upfront medicals since April 27th 2018.

Till today which is 26th July, I have not heard anything from the embassy, not even my medicals have been updated.

They only updated my biometrics which came the same day I did it.

Please help, am I supposed to be bothered? What exactly do I do?

by all means do it and send it to them. It will be uploaded to your application and you won't have to wait for them to waste more of your precious time. Your Medical result is valid for one year

2. DID NOT SUBMIT ANY OTHER DOCUMENT like police certificate, statement of purpose, birth certificate, masters and bachelors degree certificates (distinction and first class respectively), no transcript, no NYSC etc.
The no supporting documents got me scared because I got to see this thread after submitting, but I fired on with prayers.

Yea. I used my mum's treasury bill certificate. In the sponsorship letter, ensure the person note that it will be liquidated before you travel,
