Moneyfem:As at Friday, Nasarawa market @170 per modu ; Gunduma @N130; Kokona @N150. The lowly priced markets obviously have lower quantity available as well. Bags can come in 100, 120 or 160 modu, the choice is yours. Note also that price is for white egusi. |
PURITYMYPRIDE:As suggested earlier. Spending 20k on transportation and lodging for 1 or 2 nights to safe guard your investment is better than just gifting cash. Worst case scenario, the contact will charge you a premium to take you round. Nasarawa is not Borno o for those that are scared. |
From the response I have had thus far, I think it is necessary to tell those going into the venture to do their due diligence b4 proceeding. Like all businesses, it has it ups and downs. Patience is the watchword if you want to make substantial profit otherwise you may regret venturing. For Lagos markets, preference is for hand peeled and it is priced higher though when unpeeled that variety is priced lower. Your will enjoy more turnover though with the white, machine peeled Egusi. |
Enesi47:. @Enesi47: We had earlier communicated on Whatsapp. Currently in lagos but will be back to base by Wednesday. |
websolushun:First, I think we all need to have his contact and blacklist if indeed he is fraudulent . Which of the markets did he say he was buying from? What price has he offered? Pchat, it may be possible to locate him |
Homoviator:Peeling machine for 180k. Where is your location? |
websolushun:Except you have done transaction severally with a third party unknown to you. Do not trust him. I am available in Keffi if you need to visit and purchase your stock. Please note that if purchasing in volume, it is wiser you pay a visit to Nasarawa before purchase. Egusi get type oooo. Feel free to pchat me and i will respond once available |
Enesi47:All prices i quote are for unpeeled egusi. You are unlikely to get peeled egusi at a good price in large volume since it's most probably from last seasons harvest. |
As at yesterday, egusi was sold at N170 per modu. All other prices exclusive. |
Some markets had issues last year however there are various markets in Nasarawa and environs that you can get Egusi. Will be in Keffi if anyone needs assistance in visiting the markets. Please note that prices may increase slightly up to 30k by month end but still hovering between 18k and 25k as at yesterday. |
The best time to buy Egusi is now as prices are between 18k to 26k per bag. For those who have old stock, you should have sold before now as current harvest will flood the market. Prices may come down slightly though as some farmers are still drying theirs. All prices quoted are for nasarawa grown Egusi and are unpeeled. Also note that Egusi comes in white and black variety and prices differ for both |
How much for the outright purchase? |
