The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in the state, Samuel Aruwan, said the gunmen killed Nehemiah Ishaku and Yunana Mai-Mulo in Maskoro community of Kakau ward while Haruna Dogo and Danjuma Jagaba were killed in Akunakwo community of Gwagwada ward, both in Chikun Local Government Area.

Aruwan also said that in a separate incident between Hayin Inji and Kidandan town in Giwa Local Government Area, armed bandits attacked and killed one Alhaji Yahuza Jinaidu in a bid to dispossess him of his motorcycle.

He also confirmed Friday’s attack at ‘Yan Rake’ in Galadimawa of Giwa Local Government Area, where bandits wielding sophisticated weapons opened fire on residents and dropped an explosive device that killed one person and left nine others injured.

He gave the names of the victims as Usama Mohammad, Buhari Rabiu, Buhari Rabe, Waazzamu Audu, Sani Hamisu, Dini Saleh, Mai Lado Mai rake, Sabitu Isa and Kabiru Lado. He, however, said Kabiru Ladi died as he was being rushed to the hospital.

“Governor Nasir el-Rufai expressed deep sadness at these reports and prayed for the repose of the souls of the slain, while sending his condolences to their families. He urged security agencies to ramp up responses to curb such attacks,” he stated.

Politics / Re: Meet Sunday Igboho, The Brave Man Who Gave Fulani Herdsmen Quit Notice In Oyo by olayinks007(m): 3:52pm On Jan 24, 2021
Sunday Igboho and Fulani Quit Notice are currently causing serious trouble in the Yorubaland of Oyo State, south-west Nigeria.

Violence erupted in Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State after the Yoruba freedom fighter and activist, Sunday Igboho and his supporters invaded the Fulani Settlement.

This comes after the Yoruba freedom ‘fighter’ had issued a 7-day ultimatum to the Fulani people to leave the town because of the claims that they were the ones responsible for the killing and kidnapping in the Oyo communities.

How Did The Yoruba Socio-Cultural Group, Afenifere React to the 7-day Ultimatum issued by Mr Sunday Igboho?

The Yoruba activist and his supporters even burnt down the house belonging to Seriki Fulani and Salihu Abdukadir during the clash.

Meanwhile the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has warned people in the state desist from causing serious ethnic unrest.

This is everything you need to know about the Yoruba activist who gave the Fulani herdsmen 7-day ultimatum to vacate their town.

Who is Sunday Igboho?
Sunday Igboho is a popular Yoruba activist whose real name is Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo.

Reports revealed that he grew up in Modakeke area of Osun State (South-west region) but his hometown is still Igboho in Oyo State.

While growing up in Modakeke, Mr Sunday Igboho took a mechanic work there.

He became popular during the regime of Former Oyo State Governor, Rashidi Ladoja who later got impeached despite supporting him.

Technology Market / Re: South Africa Becomes The Country With More Than 1GW Of Solar Energy In Africa by olayinks007(m): 7:27am On Jan 11, 2021
South Africa becomes the country with more than 1GW of solar energy in Africa
Solar System For Household,Solar Panels For Houses,Solar Power Panel
The World Wide Fund for Nature recently released a report saying that South Africa became the first country on the African continent to achieve more than 1 GW of solar power generation Solar System For Household. This shows that the South African government has been actively promoting energy structure reforms in recent years.

Solar Power Panel

The report believes that policy promotion is an important driving force for the rapid development of South Africa's solar energy industry. In order to meet the demand for electricity brought by economic growth and reduce the impact of traditional power companies on the environment, the South African government has revised the "South Africa Integrated Resource Plan" year by year, which is planned to achieve a cumulative installed capacity of 27.6 GW of renewable energy by 2030 , So that nearly half of the country's energy supply comes from renewable energy sources, of which solar power generation is about 8 GW. The average annual sunshine time in most parts of South Africa exceeds 2500 hours, and the average daily solar radiation level is nearly 40% higher than that in Europe. This makes South Africa one of the countries with the highest solar power potential in the world.

In order to encourage more private companies, especially small and medium power companies, to actively participate, South Africa has introduced the "Renewable Energy Independent Power Producers Procurement Plan" to stimulate market demand by means of electricity price bidding. In May 2019, the South African Energy Authority announced that renewable energy projects below 500 MW no longer require ministerial approval, and there are hundreds of such projects waiting for approval before, most of which are only 10-20 MW of small solar power projects. Since then, the total installed capacity of solar power in South Africa has shown a blowout growth, and more self-sufficient solar power projects have achieved grid-connected power generation.

Solar Panels For Houses

At the same time, the South African government is actively promoting the application of solar energy throughout the country, popularizing solar water heaters, solar traffic lights and solar street lights. The South African National Electricity Company has introduced a preferential policy. Consumers who purchase a solar water heating system can receive a subsidy of 20% of the total price provided by the company. South Africa allows local governments to formulate their own power procurement or production plans, and Cape Town and Johannesburg are planning to build solar power plants managed by the local governments. In large cities in South Africa, more and more villas and low-rise apartment buildings have installed solar panels on their roofs. This approach has become standard in many newly built communities.

Industry insiders believe that the development of South Africa's solar energy industry is also facing challenges. A recent survey conducted by the National Energy Association of South Africa shows that the actual service life of many solar projects is less than half of the time stipulated in the bidding. This requires the relevant South African regulatory authorities to set higher standards in project approval and subsequent quality assurance services. South Africa’s "Daily Business Daily" reported that for some time to come, the development of South Africa’s solar power market should focus on improving quality and efficiency, instead of blindly pursuing expansion.

Politics / Re: FG Awaits $5.3 Billion Chinese Loan For Ibadan-kano Rail Line by olayinks007(m): 9:05pm On Jan 09, 2021
The federal government will begin work on the construction of the Ibadan-Kano rail project as soon as the Chinese government approves the sum of $5.3bn loan application, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has said.

Amaechi, stated this as a guest of the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, Weekend Deal Programme, monitored by our correspondent in Abuja.

He said: “We are waiting for the Chinese government and bank to approve the $5.3bn to construct the Ibadan-Kano. What was approved a year ago was the contract.

“The moment I announced that the federal government had awarded a contract of $5.3bn to the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, CCECC to construct Ibadan-Kano; they assumed the money had come in. No!

“Up till now, we have not gotten the money a year after we have applied for the loan; we have almost finished the one of Lagos-Ibadan. If we don’t get the loan now, we can’t commence,” he added.

The Minister added that upon completion, the Ibadan-Kano rail would link the Kaduna-Kano-Abuja-Minna-Ilorin-Oshogbo-Ibadan where cargoes could be moved to Kano from Lagos.

On the issue of wet cargoes on the road resulting in vehicular accidents, Amaechi noted that henceforth, cargoes would be conveyed from Lagos to Ibadan only.

He stated that when the Ibadan to Kano rail project is completed, wet and dry cargoes can be transported from Lagos to Kano.

“Nigeria should be more patient with the Ministry of Transportation over the issue of wet cargoes. Currently, we are trying to construct the railway into the seaports to enable us to transport either wet or dry cargoes to various destinations. The only wet cargoes that can go now is between Lagos to Ibadan.

“The moment we conclude that we will be able to move wet cargoes all the way to Kano from Lagos. We should also commence the construction of Port Harcourt to Maiduguri and be able to move cargoes from Bonny to Maiduguri,” he said.

On the funding of various rail projects across the country, Amaechi said the Ministry of Finance is in charge of funding and not the Ministry of Transportation, adding however that Ministry has a Presidential seal of approval to seek loans to fund rail projects for the benefit of Nigeria and Nigerians.

pardon my grammatical and typo error.

I completed my NYSC , March last year, got a job with with a company outside the country that pays 60k per month, though I work from home which allows me to go about other daily Businesses . After the lockdown I got a farm land of about 2 and 1/2 acres of land and planted cashew and it's developing already ( I paid labourer for everything since the nature of my health doesn't permit me to do hectic/ stressful work). I have been able to save 300k already because I eat at home. This year I intended to to get a shop near one of the fed. Polytechnic so I can be making photocopy and online registration for them just to augment my monthly earning, but I came across a thread here on nairaland some weeks back and now I'm considering to go for training and open a chemist or a retailer pharmacy, I was told starting a pharmacy will require like 2million upward, I'm considering of saving through the training period and getting loans to start the pharmacy, and 4 years time too the cashew should be able to give returns of 1-5 million per annum.

"PLEASE ADVICE ME AS A YOUNGER ONE", I want something that will still sustain me financially even when I start having my own family. I'm 29 already.

✓ should I go for the photocopy or the retailer pharmacy?
✓ is there any other good business idea you can suggest? ( Nature of my health can't do hectic/ stressful work)
✓If you have any experience on chemist/pharmacy please advise me.

You can state your fact on why you think it worth every penny.

The compound I based on was actually a face me and face you house of about 14 rooms. We paid about #35,000 for it. I think it worth it seeing how peacefully the compound is and couple with the facts that we are like a family here and our closeness to Tap water from a neigbour. The only demerit about it was when you want to take your bath to a lecture class, if care is not taken you will have to queue before getting a chance.
