Yesterday, I posted that I had lost my dad in a very sudden way.

He was an elderly man, but he was hale and hearty. He fell while he was climbing the stairs to go to bed at night and hit his head.

We called an ambulance, but even after they made us pay N100,000, they did not show up after an hour had passed. We were forced to drive to the hospital at 12.00 midnight where my beloved father was pronounced dead on arrival.

I've been comforting my mom and siblings all this while.

It was when I went to see his body at the Mortuary that I almost lost my composure because he looked so alive. There was a smile on his face and he looked so calm.

I'm praying for a miracle of resurrection.

I know that with God nothing is impossible.

I remember how in the Bible Paul prayed to God and resurrected a man who died after he fell from the first floor of a building.

I also know our Lord raised Lazarus from the dead after 3 days.

All I ask my fellow believers is to pray for the resurrection of my father as you go for Church service this morning.

I still believe in miracles and I believe it was not my father's time to depart from this world.

Please mods, be merciful and put this on the front page so as many people as possible can see it.

I'm hoping for a mighty testimony.

If it doesn't happen, I'm willing to accept that this is God’s Will, but I first want to appeal to God’s mercy and loving kindness before I accept His judgement.

Death is a sad reality my bro, I pray the lord grants you and your household the fortitude to bear this loss. Honest truth, I don’t know what I would even do if I lost any of my parents , the thoughts of it alone dreads me, stay strong bro.

Back in school, while studying electrical engineering, a friend and I came up with the idea of signing up with an experienced electrician in town so we could work with him and learn during our free time.

One day we went out with him for a wiring job and he asked me to connect a four-gang switch. I had never done that before so I was confused. Instead of patiently explaining how to loop it, he started shouting at me like a mæd dog and even drawing the attention of people around.


I know what I’m capable of when I’m angry, so to avoid losing control, I told my friend I was going home and that I would never work with him again. My friend begged me to stay, but I left. If I had stayed one more minute I might have done something terrible.


Later my friend returned to the hostel and told me the electrician felt remorseful after I left, that I wouldn’t be able to learn with my temper and that I was staring at him with so much rage as if I wanted to beat him up..... I told my friend coldly, “I wouldn’t have beaten him ---I would have kee him.”


About a week later, I met a reasonable electrician who taught me everything I know today. He even paid me whenever I accompanied him to work, such a generous man. He is now my mentor. Whenever I get a contract outside work and I’m unavailable to handle it, I pass it on to him.


Life isn’t supposed to be difficult; we often make it harder for ourselves. I still wonder why many Nigerian bosses have this primitive mindset that an apprentice must endure emotional trauma before learning a skill.

It will shock you know that the reason that woman was kneeling isnt because of late coming, it might just be because of a show of incompetence while trying to put to practice what she has been learning. An artisan boss will want you to replicate what they are trying to show you in just two days of learning , and when you fail and make mistakes, they melt out punishments as this, just like your case. That first unnecessary reprimand you got could have discouraged you, But mercy said no. Bless up.

The reason many Nigerians, especially young people are losing interest in acquiring skills is the behaviour of wicked bosses. This form of modern-day slavery has persisted for years and is now widely accepted as normal.


These bosses often pass on the harsh treatment they endured during their own apprenticeships to their trainees, thereby continuing a harmful cycle.


You hear them complain, saying, “Young people these days no longer want to learn a trade; all they think about is yahoo and quick money.” .....Why would anyone be motivated to learn when they are treated badly?

If I tell you that , this is the major concern of a lot of willing trainee, you wont believe. The day I saw a young man in his early twenties slap a man in his late thirties because he was learning painting from him. They learn skills in other countries, Nigerians, our things are always different.

Please, I have an issue that I need to be educated on. I was declined Canadian visa November 2024. Although I didn’t apply myself, I used an agent. Now the issue they stated was that my financial situation was insufficient to support blah blah. I knew this because I had to force the agent to send me a copy of the rejection letter. At the initial stage, After the whole visa fee , agent fee and all that , He requested 500 thousand too for proof of funds since I don’t have money running into millions in my account that he will get the money and fund my account but I won’t be able to touch it, I said ok. And then, he asked for my account details which I provided. Please sir/ma, If the money was paid into my account it’s suppose to reflect right ? I’m asking because I want to know if the proof of fund transaction is different from normal transaction because I didn’t get any alert of any money being paid into the account. I was a novice , first time applying, I admit I didn’t really ask some questions. Please , I want to take this up legally, but I want to know if I’m the one misunderstanding the whole proof of fund process. Thanks

That 1966 incident is more of a purge than a coup. Why? Because the assailants were not interested in consolidating power. Even if they wanted to, they just couldn’t because they were junior officer. These were just young men dissatisfied with the way the country was been run aground. And I hope you know that the so called coupists were drawn from the major ethnic group ? Northerners keep shouting that it was an Igbo affair. I hope they know that a northernern called “ Atom Kpera” was among the coupist? Alongside “ Ademoyega” ? So how was this an Igbo coup?

nothing do am. Gray hair is normal. I know some who start growing gray hair at 25. Am in my 30s and have a lot of gray hair on my head and beards, but my hair cream is helping a lot on that. You can only notice the gray hair on my beards

When you were quite younger, were you one of those guys who dye thier hair after every haircut? If you were, then You have your answer. Or perhaps yours is genetic.

Everytime I go to the salon, and I see young boys dying thier hair for no reason , I shake my head. That act is just an invitation for gray hair, I mean, if you do it once in a blue moon, it’s cool. But after every haircut? It’s just a matter of time . the thing about dye is that , once you make it a routine thing ,then you better be consistent because if you stop , white hair willl take over your hair wether you’re in your 30’s or 50’s
