Never knew it had deteriorated to this level. I'm even talking about what I saw around 2010-11 before I left Lagos. Then, we ply the route either in BRT buses or the famed yellow and blacks if it's night without fear but now the case is quite different.

My brother things took a turn for the worse , though I don’t know how it was back when you resided there, I just moved here myself. A lady friend entered once chance keke maruwa coming to igando from after that bridge , they use pocket knife to mark her face , took her phone worth over 400k , then pushed her out. And this was around 8pm. Happened last two weeks.

I saw a dead man left to rot along LASU gate while coming from Igando those days and a part of me just died, that's like 15 years ago and same thing is like a common occurrence along that axis, it's pitiful.

My brother , I stay at igando presently , you see that lasu, first gate down to Iyana oba , I make sure any business that would take me to ply that axis dosent exceed 4 in the afternoon before I start making my way back to igando , If you ply that road 9pm , 10 , sometimes even 8 , my brother you’re on your own.

My brother your input is so accurate , I don’t know if you’ve lived in ogijo before , worst years of my life.
Fresh out of nysc , I had to work in factories around there , from phoenix to Everest , then Metal recycling industries(mri) , And how much is the pay then ?900 per day for 12hours as at 2017 I was there . The owners are mostly Indians , and it was alleged that people that died are being used as sacrifice. It always happens like an accident , but carries a deeper undertone. The family gets compensated like you said and that’s the end.

This particular man’s death seems suspicious, firstly a forklift driver isn’t even suppose to come down from his machine unless in the case of going for break or some other emergencies, asking him to pick out something from a baling machine is not in his job description, they have other people for that , workers of a lesser rank. A forklift driver is a skilled employee . His job is just to provide the beam to carry the grinded scrap to the furnace for melting and carry the finished product to the warehouse. This is very sad .
