Make sure 17'e signal is at its highest possible in order to get ait and co packages. Rdv and co can pop up at a much lower signal %.

Everfrank: Tv 2 of my dual view decoder won't display channel line up anymore. Called dstv twice but their directve to rescan the decoder didn't solve the problem. Tv 1 is ok but tv 2 only displays some obscure channels denoted by letters and numbers that don't show anyway.Pls help.

Cant remember how again but Press and hold the ''shift'' button on ur remote until it starts blinking. Den press the tv button on the top left hand of ur remote and select ''west africa''. If a list with public, africa, west africa, etc doesn't come out. Den just press the tv button without the shift button and see what happens.

What is ur location? If it pessists, disconnect the two decoders and take them to their main office in ur state not a dealer. They should be able to rectify it in a jiffy.

Maybe u could start using manual scan and manually input the freq's.

odilibe: @Olenyi...some Monoblock lnb(s)...are adjustable to set different satellite angles..looks like the one @pofolo ,posted can be adjusted..since it has two adjustable screw...though the one i am using on my 80cm dish is not adjustable ..the good thing is that it has in-built diseqc switch...

Once any receiver is mpeg 4, u can pull down multi tv. Always read the pack of any receiver before purchase.

My only fear with dis is dat it might not be able to pick two sats dat are a bit far apart like 28.2'e and 17'e. Or is the distance between the two lnb's adjustable?

Dat decoder doesn't have updates, doesn't support biss key. Its just a decoder.

rovert: My Strong decoders (4669X and 4940 - home and office) stopped showing Intelsat 7/10 channels. The channels are still listed; have re-scanned and still nothing. Appreciate any help I can get.

Do u mean mytv channels? They said dey are going off all receiver except paired 4940 and its brother.

iykmora: hmmmm...how i track b4? Wit manual scan ofcourse. Now how about dis. I took my box to a friends place and scanned w4/w7 wit quality of 88% but when i choose manual scan on same TP, d quality reverted to 28% and back to 88% when i exit manual. Hope u get me now?

1) It all depends. First push it as far as it can go inside. When u get ur signal and u're fine tuning, u can bring it out a bit to see what difference it make. U leave it at the piont of best signal.

2) same as above. Start with 36 and work ur way up or down.

Guys are not smiling oooo. Had to share this. I came to lagos yesterday on a work related visit. Then today, i had cause to travel down to sagamu, ogun state (sado G.R.A to be precise). Guess what i saw?

I was like WHAT!!!!!

It was a pity i couldn't get a picture as it would look really suspicious and it was a very big compound with the windmill at the back. And as their was no wind then, i couldn't see it in action.
