How is the physical attributes of the dish like? In nilesat installation, the lnb, the dish being in good condition as well as ur expertise in tracking are huge factors to be considered before u can get it.

If u are a newbie in satellite tracking, den i advise u get a 3.5m dish (am taking it u are in the nothern part of the country. If not, den dat ur 1.8 wont do u any good. Anything less dan 3.5m up is an exercise in futility.).
Make sure the dish is still in good condition physically. And the lnb is still in top shape position. Then try once more.

If i understand u well, u mean connecting the two to a single receiver.

Its very possible. Dats what ''diseqc switches'' are for. Ask ur dealer for one.

Then at the installation menu of ur box, select dish settings. Select the satellite for ur ku eg intelsat 20. Scroll down to diseqc settings and change to correspond to the port number (which is clearly indicated on the diseqc switch) where u connected the cable coming from ur ku dish and save.

Repeat same for the c band lnb and u're home and dry.

C band freq uses a c band lnb. It is different and much bigger dan ur present ku lnb. So u need to modify you lnb holder, get a c band lnb and try once more.

You are welcome to the satellite place.


eutesat 7A@ 7.0e means eutalsat 7A @ 7 degrees east.

Eutalsat is the satellite name. We have others like intelsat, astra, hotbird, NSS, bard, arabsat, etc

7A is the name/number for that specific satellite. We can liken the name to

Eutalsat = Mercedes/toyota/nissan (generic)
7A = 200/siena/altima (model)

Then @7'e = 7 degrees east (orbit position of the satellite in space)

Satellites are placed in an imaginary arc from east to west. So (e) or (w) tells you where the satellite is. Either east or west.

Valto: mbc is proving a hard nut to crack...but i read somewhere in this forum that i can track it with my dish positoned to get amos5/w3c by adding another LNB at the top

U're finding it difficult to track mbc and u feel dat when u offset it more in a 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 setup, dats when it'll pop up. Hmmm...

Get a better lnb, or increase ur dish dize and u'll be home and dry.

**PS** And one other word of advise to all dat are finding it difficult nailing mbc. Ur pole being plum is also a big factor in ur tracking.

Except a professional whose's already experienced in tracking, make sure ur pole or wall hanger is as close to 90' as possible. Dis will increase ur chances.

And also track astra 4a first, fine tune the gotten signal, then play around the area and hopefully it should pop up.

When u hit green, also input dis freq 11881 v 27500 and make sure dis freq's signal is also high. Fine tune the two freq's to the highest signals % possible. Then blindscan and u're good to go.

As its an HD box, u're free to pull down all the HD' mpeg 4 and 2 channels. So atleast dat should suffice for u.

No u cant. Loop wouldnt solve the problem either as u most select the channels within the same satellite and frequency before the two receivers can work. Aside dat, the primary rx will work but the secondary receiver will show no or bad signal.

Ur best bet is to get dual view lnb's and replace all ur 4 lnb's. Then get extra diseqc for the other receiver. Dat way, all will work independently.

Hope u're using a 90cm dish. Tweak ur lnb around and try changing ur polarrity to see what happens.

Then go get a better lnb. This will definitely solve ur problem.

Those with multi tv signal fluctuations, whats ur location. It might help out.

As we discussed here sometime ago, it looks like this problem affects some regions only.

Had to track it today to see how the fluctuation is but mine's loud and clear. No problem.

You could go through the pack of ur box or look it up online to see if ur box is mpeg4 compliant. If it is, then u can get all multi tv channels. Use 12523 v19531 to track a little above dstv posible and scan. All channels on multi tv will be stored for u.
