It makes for better picture and sound quality. And also affords those with HD rx and HD tv to experience a clearer, cleaner and more enjoyable tv viewing experience. Though we're slow here in Africa to embrace new innovations, i forsee a future where all broadcasts will be in 3D so we can really get ''into'' the tv while viewing. )D Regards. |

You don't have to memorize any of the satellite positions.[/quote]I now understand. Its alright. I like the offset idea you employed to solve the ''falling'' problem. Quite ingenious. Though in the conventional jacks, u manually reset the upper and lower limits to checkmate the tendency to fall when one goes too far west. Even some positioners have provisions for that. Others design a short iron that u affix to the west side of the dish so that it stops the dish at your desired position. And yeah, it feels good to be back. Felt like i've missed a lot. But i've brought myself up to speed by reading the posts i missed. Regards. |

@ Oga George_D. Looking at ur setup got me wondering. In all my similar setup's, i usually put the normal C band in the middle for maximum signal reception. Then the other C band underneath the first one for linear satelites like intelsat 7/10 C. And the ku, i place on top as most of the ku signals have high signals and considering the dish size, a little shunting to the side wouldn't affect it much. So am wondering if there's any special reason for putting ur ku lnb in the optimium position (middle) considering its high signals, and sacrificing the C bands dat normally need all the signals they can get? Regards. Ps. That ur positioner looks top-of-the-range. We are used to the normal EUROSTAR and SUPERJACK stuff.  |

oseijuade: thanks very much for u help i am having a Little problem with my dish it keeps fluctuating switching from red to green can i get some advice plsWhat is ur signal level like? I'll suggest u re-adjust ur dish and try and get the signal level to like 55% upwards at the least for mbc freq. But first, try rotating your lnb and see what happens. Also, if it feasible for u, relocate ur dish from dat roof top to a plumb pole on the ground. Ew3a is always a tricky bird and sometimes requires all sorts of measures in other to pull it down. Yomkris: Weldone gurus. I was able to track w3c wit 11024h3333 today wit 89%. And then input 12563 wateva ,i got more than 40 tv stations.. Pls i need tp freq to get both infinity and hitv stations on dis w3c pls kindly help. TnxIf u are using a strong machine, just blind scan it and all other frequencies will be automatically stored for u. Regards. |

@SULIEMAN3 @olushaggy And all. Sorry for being AWOL. I've being battling with Malaria parasite and Pneumonia since the 6th of this month. I haven't being able to do anything since then, shuttling between my house and the hospital. Though am getting better, but for someone who doesn't fall sick quite often (its been more than a year plus i last fell sick apart from the occassional headache that you pop some pills into your mouth and go your way), this is quite debilitating. My behind and top of my hand where i've received countless I.M and I.V injections and infusions now fell numb to me. I'll bounce back soon enough. Thanks for the concern. My warm regards, olenyi.  |

If i was the head, marketing of multichoice, i'll advice them to bring out a bouquet just for sports, made up of just SS1 to SS10, SS select, blitz, espn, espn classic and euronews. Let them put the price at say #4000, just like HITV did when they were on, and all this piracy will go. People hack DSTV just for football. Multitv serves the other purpose. QED. |

The one i've seen tells u the phone numbers of all the ppl beside u. I've forgotten the name. Say u want tot get a girls number, all u do is activate the software and stand about two, three meters from the girl. Both her number and everyother person's number,geta displayed on ur screen. It runs like a radar screen so u know the number representing each dot on ur screen to avoid mix up. |

Pidzo: Lets see what happens bro. I am also very surprised. Somebody brought his SRT 4669XII saying he cant watch SABC channels. Upon inspection I found out that 6969 was not working. Checking the software version I discovered it's 2013 version and I knew this must be the dreaded OTA upgrade. I reinstalled the 'safe' previous version and disabled the OTA upgrade option (I changed the frequency and symbol rate to a non-existent one and also the sat name). To my surprise what the receiver did first in the morning was to start a fresh OTA upgrade!!Just suggesting. Try deleting 12522 from the freq list entirely. My reasoning being dat as dat is the freq dat carries the upgrade software, it might solve the problem. Also i once scanned 68'e and got a channel named ''sofware something''. Could it be dat, dat is now what they are using for those dat'll bypass the OTA menu. Just thinking. |
