Please, any clue/direction for stock of the week and of the month of October?

Nawa o! That means your DQ is close to one year now.

But at least you are close. You should get IL before the end of the year or next schedule.

It's possible. Check also the answer to someone that asked similar question. Check page 335 that was 20th Sep. post.
InvestmentRe: Mutual Funds by olig(m): 1:43pm On Sep 26, 2024
Thank you very much.

To be clearer.

I have mutual fund accounts with several managers. I have subscribed to almost entirely money market fund (MMF).

I now need another mutual fund account for a separate money market fund investment. This is not entirely my own money. Thus, I want it separate from my main account and money.

So, can I have another account for money market fund with stanbic and FBN for instance, despite having one in that category before?

Hogwarthtrades:
as many as your heart desire. You will follow each firm's account opening process. BE mindful to check the quality of the mutual fund to avoid duplication. It will seem counterintuitive if buying a mutual fund that has same stock as what you have in your stock portfolio and or your fixed income basket (Treasury bill , FGN savings, Bonds, etc) grin grin, except duplication is your goal.
InvestmentRe: Mutual Funds by olig(m): 12:51pm On Sep 26, 2024
Please, is it possible to have two mutual fund accounts (particularly for MMF) with a manager? Specifically for Stanbic IBTC and FBNQUEST.

If yes, will I need to fill separate and/or new forms?

Thank you.

Exactly!
Thinking of buying Access now 🤔

Fidelity Bank movement will encourage more persons to buy access bank shares.

Access Bank is a Tier 1 and grossly undervalued at the moment. The spinoff from Fidelity and Wema bank will push access bank upward a bit
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by olig(m): 2:55pm On Sep 23, 2024
Okay. Thanks.

I asked because I have issues with my stanbic account. So, that I am not left out grin

Stanbic is just a disappointment 😞.

I opened a trading account, and in less than "two" months (then), it became dormant. I just discovered that I couldn't trade/transact. Initially, I thought it was my network. Weeks after, I contacted them and they asked me to summit an update form, proof of address, valid ID.... same documents I submitted less than "two months" ago. I sent those to them for the past two weeks now, still, nothing positive.

Even my direct settlement update form was not treated. I opted out of payment into my bank account. Yet, my REDSTAREX dividend was paid to my bank account.

I have been on dematerialization (demat) with them for more than two months also.

I am just tired of them.

Thank God I have morgan, which I opened immediately after opening stanbic; as if i know

jonnysessy:
No idea bro. This thing take sometime. You have to be patient, i just hope you are not thinking of taking profits. That is the little disadvantage of buying primary offers.

Na only that?
Till today, if the man didn't talk, we will still be thinking that NNPC has 25% stake in the DR. Till now, no clear reason about why the eventual 7.5%, and where the remaining loan and fund meant for the initial 25% entered.
NNPC is a coven!

I tire o!

The same opacity that did not enable us to know how much crude we produce and/or sell per day, that did not allow us to know how much we pay for subsidy or how much PMS we use is the same opacity they are bringing to DR.

What is difficult in giving us live feed of Crude entry and PMS exit from DR, with their respective rates? Do we need an alien to do that for us?

Agbalowomeri:
Has the government hands off from PMS? The company also has to be diplomatic. At least they both agreed now that Dangote Refinery has yet to receive the crude promised in naira which is the hidden information that the NNPCL did not provide
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by olig(m): 11:08am On Sep 16, 2024
The best way to solve this is for NNPC to show us the invoices and receipts of PMS bought yesterday. Instead of giving us an estimate at this point.

You can not compare diesel and aviation fuel, and PMS please. PMS is still entirely regulated by the government (is still in one of their crooked list). That is why Dangote is careful. Femi Falana (SAN) and others have called for PMS pricing to be fully deregulated, but so far, we all pretend as if we don't know. That is why Dangote can not tell you this is his price for PMS, unlike diesel, cement, etc. You want them to come out say that he is playing the role of government and therefore guilty of tre*son? They can even say it is a ku.

Femi Falana (SAN) will just be laughing and angry at the same time right now. He has been saying this long before PMS production fully begins. He understands what NNPCL could do.

rmx:
Hate ke , loving his moves grin grin grin , it’s the move that gullible Nigerians believe , I don tell una reality

He should come out and state the Price he sold to them if it’s a lie . Very simple , don’t we know the price he sells diesel , aviation fuel etc .

I tell people i bought from you 1 naira and provide my evidence , you say No you dint , then tell us how much you sold it and your evidence . All So basic . I sign out on this
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by olig(m): 10:59am On Sep 16, 2024
Why is it an estimate at this time?

Ask the NNPC to show us the invoices and receipts of PMS bought yesterday.

rmx:
Dangote is trying to be smart by half and not look bad to Nigerians with the high price . He said absolutely nothing in that statement

Simply tell us what price you sold to nnpc , you sold to them in dollars , won’t it be converted to naira for consumers to buy in Nigeria

Probably waiting till October when he receives crude in naira , even at that, pricing might just be slightly better . The exchange rate is the Koko , that determines everything . All this things are simple basic economics , except there is a subsidy element

Will love to be in dangotes shoes , his feasting has just begun
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by olig(m): 10:58am On Sep 16, 2024
Honestly!

Even me, 'I am tired on behalf of Dangote".

Is Dangote the regulator of downstream again?

If at all we really want progress, I expect a live board (online based) to be up and running by now. To see the amount lifted per hour (if not per minutes), and at what rate and the destination. Each filling station in Nigeria should have a code.

Yet, our problem is the one who is trying is very best to contribute his own little (which is more than government's effort).

Maybe Alhaji Aliko Dangote should close up his refinery, cement, sugar, etc factories. Everyone will be happy by then.

Even if Dangote is greedy, government's role is to check him by bringing in transparency. Dangote is not afraid to tell Nigerians he is going to sell PMS higher than the current rate. However, he has said that NNPC and/or FEC will determine the price. What else? NNPC should just be plain with whatever they are saying. NNPC should show us the invoice and receipt for the PMS lifted so far. That alone will solve the problem.

Dangote is just being careful. He didn't want to "indict" NNPC directly, because he can not fight them. That is why he refused to mention a price; and since is the government that determines the price.

FYI, I am a yoruba man, but God forbid that I support what is not right, even if it favours me. So, don't think "he is from the north".

Agbalowomeri:
Una just dey hate for nothing
The pricing is entirely on NNPCL plate. From the statement made by the company, it is obvious that NNPCL was only truthful by half.

We will wait till October to see how far

I don't like to do this, but I have to.

Please, stop all this. No offence please.
But stop. Who is deceiving anyone here? And for what purpose would that be?

You that is not deceiving people, what are your recommendations?
I specifically asked you what shares to buys yesterday, but you ignore.

The best way is to teach people what is original. You don't have to bother teaching what is fake. Immediately they see anything different from the original, they automatically know that it is fake.

Oando will still drop/correct/retrace. And so? What is special in that? Is it the first company to do that?
The person that got OANDO at 15NGN and still holding it at 90NGN knows why. Or were you the one that old him to buy it at 15? Likewise, the person that got it at 94NGN and still holding it at 86NGN knows why.

This thread is not for competition or show of strength, please. It is now becoming more of noise here.

I am not saying it is wrong to caution or alert people. But do so with clear data/information. And wanting to force everyone to see things the way you do is not proper.

If OANDO drops today, it is not because you said it . That is just normal. Fine, technically (TA), you might have an issue with OANDO, I agree. But "news" is also part of the game. It happens in Forex trading, crypto, etc. So, what is so special.

What is the contributions to the title/heading of this thread? "Nigerian Stock picks"; yet everything we get is OANDO is not good, oil and gas shares is bad, insurance will end in premium tears, banking stocks are deceiver, etc.

Again, what should we buy, please?

Accept my apologies if my words sounds otherwise; the intention is to get things wright here.

Thank you sir.

godlyguy:
I thought oando and seplat are in the same league of play or has anything changed?

Those deceiving the unsuspecting should continue but just know that oando will be taken seriously serious when they get on their toes and stop relying on the goodwill of politicians. They should come out CLEAN this time around that's if they mean business. Media noise alone won't do the job. Improve on the books

We don't know what the Ogas are up to, but I Blvd they'll move it at their right time.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by olig(m): 11:35am On Sep 05, 2024
On behalf of myself and everyone that wants to make money, I sincerely apologise for every offensive word or statements that have been made here.

Please, don't be offended and stop helping. Remember, this is a web based platform, not an App. Your help is not only for the immediate, but also for the future. I have benefited from numerous information that was presented here years/decades before I started following this thread. If you because of one or two offences stop the good work, you did not shut the door against just one or two, but against the "innumerable" future beneficiary. Some of the information might have expired but it enables ones to be informed and track the developments with which one can follow the trend.

To all, this is a faceless platform, to me, competition is useless here. More so, we should take things easy and be polite. I am sure there are several experts on their own here. We might have professor, doctor, lawyer, engineer, etc. No one knows who is who. So, please, let's continue helping ourselves and avoid/foget personal sentiments and attack on who we don't even know in reality. I can not forget one person named Raymond or so on nairaland that helped me out paying an application fee "many many" years ago when baba closed the doors of domiciliary accounts. I was surprised not asking for the naira equivalent ahead. I was even delayed in paying the naira due to network issue. Though the application did not work, but that action impressed me. Likewise some of the information shared here are of great value and are highly appreciated. Many things I don't know before joining this thread.

You are all helping people, though you may not know. Continue the good works.

Thank you all.

And where is the money 💰 grin grin grin

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by olig(m): 7:37am On Sep 04, 2024
True!
Maybe not a magic, but overall, it would help us. However, that is only if they want it to be at our advantage.

We shouldn't need tp owe NNPC or subsidy again.
We shouldn't need to drain our foreign reserve for subsidy again.
We should need to borrow for subsidy again.
Jobs are created in this which should contribute a little to reduction in unemployment and it should help our economy a little
We shouldn't need the corrupt crude swap of NNPC again.
More so, the overall forex balance should be more than 5 to 15%. Because we are not giving DR full capacity crude. At least, not for now. So at least, as at today, we should have at least 800,000 barrel to sell; assuming we based it on our OPEC quota of 1.2m barrel per day and remove 400,000 barrel for local refineries from it. So, id we do the calculation well, we don't lose up, and the gain/surplus is more than that. That is if they are not using the crude sale to start importing water though.
Before now, Diaspora remittance is the biggest and true net forex source that Nigeria has. Every month/day, we ended up looking for additional forex to supplement the one from crude sale for petroleum products.

To me the 40% that Dangote claimed is close to real estimate. Factoring what we would have gotten if the crude allocated to DR is to be sold without factoring the corresponding amount we would have needed to import and/subsidise/sell below landing cost, etc seems not to balance (to me).

megawealth01:
Dangote Refinery Will Crash Dollars

40% of the demand on FX is projected to be eliminated. So we have 40% suplux. The CBN would loose approximately 25 to 35% influx of FX via local currency sales of Crude oil, leaving us at about 5 to 15% suplux. And it is safe to say that other economic factors will easily mop up that suplux but let's say they don't, you really think this is the magic wand we need to wave and fix the Naira?

I think not.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by olig(m): 8:39pm On Sep 03, 2024
Dey play.
Is it floating now?
And if that is through where is the money that should have been used in subsidising it? By the way, I know here it is. Maybe that is part of the reasons why FEC allocation has increased dramatically. Again, what do we have to show for the increase in the allocations? NOTHING

brotherly:
However, not allowing the naira to float would have required subsidizing the exchange rate using borrowed funds
