Don't mind them. Despite the ocean of information we have access to in this generation, some still accept to be fo8led. That is how some are saying that Trump is coming for crude oil, that we have more than they do. Whereas the US proven reserve is almost half of the entire African reserve. And they twist the whole stuff as if Trump is decalring w8r aganst Nigeria. To me, some are actually very happy with what has been going on for almost 2 decades now, in terms of insecurity. No one ordinarily wants foreign troops in Nigeria, but on this one, I have nothing against it. Trump is not coming to topple the government. Finally, why not even focus on the second part of the story? The word 'IF' was used. He said if the government failed or refused to stop the k*llings. To me, stopping the k8llings shoud be of greatest concern. It is like saying if you don't stop ste*ling, you will go to prison. Why should I be concerned about going to prison since I don't steal, or since I am willing and able to stop ste*ling. It is that simple. What some Nigerians are doing is beating a child and expect him not to cry. Hypocrysy! Even if Trump is coming to take our water, let it be. As we speak, they are actively mining in the so-called Sambisa forest, w8r wrecked Samfara, Katsina etc. That is not of concern to many. Trump is the problem, right? ositadima1: I found this data from 2022, the U.S. accounts for less than 4%. Are you suggesting they’re waging a war on behalf of Belgium and the Netherlands, which together cover almost 50% of Nigeria’s refined product imports? Please, argue with facts, not unfounded emotions.
Have you ever seen the U.S. invade a country simply because it placed a tariff on imports? Or do you think Nigeria will be the first? You people need to drop this “they’re not happy with my progress” mindset. No one can hold you down except yourself.
Unless you want to deny that there’s been a rise in killings across Nigeria, the message was clearly meant to wake up the administration. |
Travel › Re: How To Get Your Yellow Fever Card In Nigeria. Step-by-step Process by olig(m): 5:28pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
I have been searching for this. It will help. Thanks. Please, do you know if they are available and offer services on Saturdays? Or is only weekdays one can go there Dife: Every time I find myself navigating a new process, especially one that doesn’t have much clear information online, I like to document it for others once I’m able to go through it. Just like I did in my post about verifying your LinkedIn, now I’m sharing a break down of how I got my Yellow Card in Nigeria. Specifically in Ibadan. The process might vary from state to state, but this guide should still be helpful.
TL;DR (Quick Summary):
- Go early in the day to avoid long queues - Bring cash, a passport photocopy, and eat before your visit - Ask that all three vaccines are included and stamped in your card - Just like your passport, keep the card in a safe place. The card is valid for life and required for some international travels
Step-by-step process 1. Find a vaccination or issuing centre close to you For locations and helpful phone numbers, check here. In Ibadan, the location is Federal Secretariat, Ikolaba (this is NOT the state secretariat at Agodi). It’s just along Customs Road at Bodija. It’s easy to find. Ask around.
2. What to Bring or Prepare Here’s a checklist of what you should take with you based on my experience:
- A photocopy of your international passport. If you don’t already have a copy, there’s a photocopy shop within the Secretariat compound, just before you reach the reception area.
- Cash. They didn’t accept transfers. Go with at least ₦4,000 in cash. You may need it for photocopies or any administrative fees.
- Eat something before you go. It helps avoid dizziness after the vaccines, especially if you are not great with injections. Note: The vaccines are generally safe with little to no reactions.
3. Head to the Yellow Card or Vaccination Office Once inside the Secretariat compound, go to the reception and let them know you are there for the Yellow Fever vaccine. They will direct you to the right office. You will be asked to submit your passport copy and complete a simple form with your personal details.
4. Get Vaccinated There are three different vaccinations you can receive during this process. It is best to collect all three at once if possible. They are:
- Yellow Fever Vaccine (injection) - Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) — this is an oral dose, two drops in your mouth - Cerebrospinal Meningitis Vaccine (also known as the CSM vaccine, injection)
That means you receive two injections and one oral vaccine. The officials might not mention all three, so you need to ask. I initially received only two and had to return to complete the third, which was required by the country I was travelling to. It’s better to get them all done in one visit, especially because different countries may require different vaccines.
5. Your Yellow Fever Card After taking the vaccines, the health officials will update your Yellow Fever card. They will enter the vaccine details and stamp the card accordingly. You may receive three different stamps, usually one on the front and two on the inside pages. This card serves as your official proof of vaccination. Keep it safe.
6. Verify Card Credibility Open your camera and scan the QR code on the front page of your Yellow Card. If it takes you to a site with the official Yellow Card URL, then it’s valid. Note: Depending on website maintenance, the page might not load fully. But as long as it leads you to the correct official URL, you are good.
The process is not tedious if you go on a day when there isn’t much crowd.
If you found this helpful, share it with someone who may be planning a trip and needs their Yellow Fever card. |

Dont mind them. Let them be playing game with everything. As if no one go school but them. I was still discussing with someone yesterday. Saying, in reality, states are not receiving much allocation now as many believe. Just use dollars for your benchmark and the difference will be clear. We will still convert the many naira to few dollars to get our road fixed, to get cards, clothes, even food. mikeapollo: Please remember to factor-in the impact of currency devaluation. In 2010, a foreign investor with $1,000 would be able to buy shares worth about N120,000 on NGX In 2025, the same $1,000 will buy shares worth N1,500,000
So looking at the nominal figures and percentages alone will give deceptive and inaccurate picture. |

Na so o! That is how they jubilate for the naira appreciating a bit. My question is, who pushed it to the roof? Also, they don't want anyone to criticise them when things go wrong, but they want everyone to jubilate for their negligible and sometimes mirage achievements. ositadima1: Same argument as before: the MPR was below 20% for years before this administration came in and pushed it to 27.5%. Now they’ve reduced it by just 0.5%—not even up to 1%—and some people are jubilating. It’s almost as if General is Cardoso’s brother. |

Haha! Now I get it, I didn't know that it can not be migrated. Thanks. mikeapollo: Follow my explanations very well. I don't think you can migrate the shares to your trading account. It is either you sell or you leave the shares in the CSCS account. That is your main account with the NGX/SEC and your shares are even more secure and safer in the CSCS. Every shares that you have must appear in the CSCS account, otherwise you don't own the shares anymore |

"Investing stage" That is what some people failed to realise. It is abnormal expecting Ella to be at the same level with Okomu or presco. It is good that meristem did not say the Ella farm is not in existence as many are insinuating. Palm farming is a long term business. Fine, you might have started producing something as from five years (maybe three nowadays), the fruit and output will still be very small at this stage. Some fruit will practically be the size of a fist. It takes many more years before you really start to make the money. Okomu and the likes are maybe as old I am, and they buy existing farms and trun it around. This is not the same as planting afresh, which I belive is what Ella is doing most. I believe Ella will perform excellently in the nearest future. "Except, Nigeria." Is like comparing O and O and Seplat also. O and O too is going places. Even without PBAT. "Except, Nigeria." I wish I had money to do what I wanted to do and still retain my small holdings. Same with WEMA which some don't believe in that time. yMcy56: Sir, thanks for posting this report. Though not very legible but I can say the lines I was able to read are pointers to a great company to be birthed in Agricultural sector .
More lights shed on the activities of this company, how robust the company is as well as highlighting the potentials and future prospects of ELLAHLAKES.
Renewed interest is expected in ELLAH because the analysis points to the fact that they're really at the investing stages, in which funds are being injected and still being injecting.
On the financials aspect, I think what was arrived at is expected....when establishing a company for instance, funds keeps entering and immediate gains/profits or revenues are not always expected or the first target.
Meristem might have worked with what was on ground but did they factor-in other near future developments and expected turnarounds? Or did I miss anything?
Like I said, I've not read everything on the analysis. A link to download will be appreciated.
I hope Street investor is able to read this analysis with an open mind. |

No be lie. There is no excuse for Nigeria, we have all it takes. If he entered power sector now, some id*ots will be shouting monopoly. The main problem is still the "privatisation" of the power sector, which still has government hand/finger in it. With that, they are still playing the usual politics with it. That is why government can owe trillions to the power sector. I even pray Dangote enter Iron and steel next. Thay have capacity to create more jobs.
