1st Image: Starting now I'll need to get the strings in the crackeme2 file. String is one of the best first step with analysis. You will notice that this is an IOLI crackme challenge.
2nd Image: Next up is to know what is the file format of the binary. Guesses correct; it is an elf file.
3rd Image: Unfortunately GDB doesn't come pre-installed on Kali so I had to install it.
4th Image: After some little debugging now comes the time to write Angr script. The script shows two possible paths(or inputs) to crack the crackme.

He never tried to scam anyone. He showed the bank how easy it was to hack and for them to up their security.

That boy is a big time fool.
If truly he wanted show the bank how vulnerable the system is, then he should have followed due process.
First get a lawyer (corporate lawyer) that understand banking law in Nigeria. Then you report your findings to the appropriate department in the bank. Then you keep your mouth shut and only discuss with the parties concerned.
But that fool went ahead to post videos, and even when his residence was raided, they found incriminating things.
On a serious note, that man is a mumu man.

I finally downloaded the crackmes and the repository.
1st Image: Crackmes and a binary bomb file
2 Image: The Angr CTF repo
3rd Image: Reverse Engineering tasks involves a lot of repetition, and so have a file that aids automation is key. I always have a gdb configuration file to assist with debugging with GDB. I decided to use GDB in sync with Angr to get the full picture of the file. GDB will execute at root level while Angr will execute at venv level.
4th Image: (Optional) I created a file to store list of Flags Captured. I stored this file in the Desktop folder for quick access.

My LinkedIn only shows me offers from Nigeria, how can I set it to show me offers from other countries, because I'll soon be looking for internship. Also, how feasible is it to be running NYSC and tech internship?

Why not try for Indeed or ZipRecruiter, based on your applications, these websites will bring pop ups asking if you want to keep getting notifications.
For LinkedIn maybe you can search for a job title then change the location to your preferred country, you will see a list of those jobs.

Dear fellow Nairalanders, this moniker Keinbock is a sham, don't believe anything coming from this unverified moniker.
Try to answer this question:
Why hasn't Keinbock posted info for over 2 days or 48 hours now?
Is he having connection issues or is he piling up lies to feed us with?
Anything new moniker, one must be very careful.
Keinbock:

Kein Bock has a real job and doesnt sit all day on her pc , waiting for people to post. She comes online when she has the ime.

Bitteschön1
Keinboch I appreciate your reply, thanks for making out time.
You said that the aim of your thread is to help Nigerians in Germany know how to get there German citizenship, but when I read that timeline of yours I couldn't wrap my head around how you want to help Nigerians get there German citizenship, you only talked about yourself not on information that could fast track citizenship acquisition.
In addition, let me tell you that even after marrying a German citizen, you as a foreign spouse might not get the citizenship during that duration, I have read official articles from German Immigration, you see if your civil records are not clean or if your stay in Germany is not consistent or if you aren't earning enough, even after the marriage you will not get the citizenship.
Also note that even after applying for citizenship it can take months and even years for you to finally get the citizenship, so in essence just because you got yours in little over 3 years that doesn't mean it will be same for others.
Everybody knew from the onset that you used marriage to fast track your citizenship process, but you didn't tell us if your marriage is arranged, on a contract or if it is a marriage of convenience.
Matters like this is subject to change and reforms so the best you can do is leave everyone with there own choice, once again congratulations.

I decided to make some detour, I setup the popular Metasploitable VM, which is a vulnerable Linux server, to see what I can glean.

How do I register?
Should I be sincere to you?
Since you are still a novice about international travelling, I would suggest you calm down and relax so that you won't be scammed.
What can you do?
First check Universities abroad that you might want to apply to, if you are financially buoyant.
Second, if you don't want to go through study route, there are online sites where you can apply to jobs, list of them include Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor etc
Third, please narrow down your search to a list of countries. Don't be like some stupid Nairalanders that wants to travel to every country.
Fourth, if you haven't, then start processing for your Nigerian International Passport, if you are in Lagos, I'll recommend Ikoyi office or Alausa office. If you are in Ogun State, then you can check the Sagamu office, although those officers there(Sagamu office) are stupid, I have goon there before.
Fifth, while your passport process is ongoing, contact the embassy of your choice countries by email to get information, you will get authentic information there.
Sixth, DONT EVER EVER APPLY THROUGH ANY AGENT.
Let me stop here, I wish you goodluck.

I now have my virtual environment activated. I made some mistakes with some commands, but now it has been fixed.
1st Image: Activated Virtual Environment.
2nd Image: Virtual Environment will use Python 3.9.8. My Kali installation is Kali 2.4 which comes preinstalled with the most recent version of Python, so the venv will use all that dependencies and system level dependencies like gcc(for C code). With Python added, I can also use pip for most installation, and I can use Python script for automation as well.
3rd Image: Angr Script for first CTF.
Disclaimer: I found this sample script on the internet.
The script will try to find what input will trigger the bug, since I want to find out the passcode from the binary. (From the previous C code, the passcode is 2022, let's see if that will be displayed.)
4th Image: Used pip to install Angr in the venv.

Religion / Re: “Most ‘Miracles’ You See On TV Or Crusades Are Staged” – Fr. Kelvin Ugwu by olioxx(m): 4:21pm On Feb 04, 2022
Same thing I was telling my former boss who was a CGO in Redeemed Church that "most miracles from Nigerian so-called churches are fake and deceptive". My boss told me and I quote, " Don't incur the wrath of God with your speech", two years now I am still alive and kicking.
Those pastors in Nigeria are all useless, dotards and money focused .
I think these is where the Jehovah's Witness are right. The only miracle I know is when you sleep and you wake up sound and well, then we say Thank God, any other miracle nah wash.
If e sure for any pastor let him or her go to mortuary and raise up someone that died 3 days ago, atleast Bible Jesus raised up Lazarus after four days of death.
Religion must be seriously regulated in Nigeria.

ebukajay184:
Nigerian Catholic priest, Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, has stated that almost all miracles people see on television or in crusades are staged, IGBERETV reports.

The priest stated this in a Facebook post on Thursday, February 3, 2022 while speaking on some of the signs to identify real miracles.

He stated that the first sign that a minister is fake is when he is being advertised ahead of a church program as a healer.

He noted that anyone who truly has the gift of healing does not make a noise about it and won’t be comfortable when it is used.

He went on to state that almost all the so-called miracles people see on TV or in crusades are stage.

farem:

So says an empty vessel or a bitter soul.
Wetin this one dey talk, to ba sure fun eh, perform miracle so that 10 million will be credited in my account.
I am waiting.

osuofia2:
smiley
Fake as fake it self.
In the Catholic Church, for anything to pass as a TRUE miracle, it must be open to a third-party investigation. The third-party must be an independent person who plays the devil’s advocate.
Respect to the Catholic faith, happy they have stood the taste of time even in the face of aggressive marketing and bad mouthing by the Pentecostal Churches.
The Catholic Church will always have my respect even as a practicing Muslim
I just saw your post now, and I smiled. Why? I ask myself, do you really know the history of the Catholic Church?
Well let me say that Catholic Church happens to be one of the most brutal, and offensive religious organization. They performed a lot of atrocities in the past centuries, only if you read the undiluted history of that entity you will be ambivalent of them.

Religion / Re: How Christianity Saved Africa And The World (photos) by olioxx(m): 9:42am On Feb 03, 2022
walkbrazil4k:
First of all, I am a Christian now, yea I know about our own traditional African religion, and of course, I am an African we had our own religion before the white men sailed from Europe and brought us Christianity and we all know the history of Christianity and we know about the old testament and I am saying this as a Christian because this is what I believe in now

I strongly believe Christianity saved the world and Africa, trust me I know the white men that brought us Christianity also brought chains that took us to Europe and S/America I know, but the religion still saved us

With this Internet age, we are beginning to question a lot of things in Christianity and many of you that follow the news won't miss the drama between Matthias and pastors in Nigeria, I watched him destroy the Bible because he confirmed that the pastors in Nigeria could not heal the sick people that he brought, lol

But when I look at the world especially the black man I believe Christianity saved us because I don't know what would have happened, remember how Mary Slessor saved the twins, many things like that and a black man would want to hurt you and he would think of God first and be like "I won't hurt you because of God", he does not mean he won't hurt you because of our African gods he means Jesus, so Christianity really softened the heart of the people.

I was watching something online about a country in Asia that used to behead their enemies and because of Christianity, they stopped.

But I just wonder why Christianity is not making them do the right thing it's simple religion is a personal thing and money is a universal thing

Look man I don't Carry religion on my head but I know there is a supreme being and I believe that

https://www.walkbrazil4k.com/2022/01/how-christianity-saved-africa-and-world.html?m=1

OP at the first bolded, if you truly knew about the original African tradition, you will see that Africa that time had some level of civilization are we talking of Alexandria in Egypt or the Mali Empire or Ethiopia of old, these were civilized climes, they had there traditions and customs that worked well for them, if we narrow it down to Nigeria with the Ondo Empire, Oyo Empire, Benin Kingdom and other forms of government that time, then we can say that there tradition and customs worked for them.
At the second bolded, Christianity can save the world from this current level of immortality, but it is quite unfortunate that a lot of people have neglected true Christianity for religion thereby being indoctrinated with stupid believes and concepts.
At the third bolded, the white didn't bring true Christianity to Africa because Africa is where the world started, yes, the West only brought religion and some shitty propaganda to assist them in colonizing us further. Let me say that when Slessor came to Nigeria, the British were already colonizing us, and so probably they needed a tool to control peoples mind, and viola they gave us religion and later chained us.
At the fourth bolded, Slessor only used logic or human feeling, nothing much. During that time the British knew or should I say that Slessor knew that killing of twins was inhumane since it is a biological process, my question is, "How exactly did she stopped the killings?", How? Secondly killing of twins was not widespread that time, probably some parts of Nigeria then believed that barbaric concept, and so Slessor went to that part and talked some sense into them to stop the killings as it is inhumane, nothing really special here, she only used logic and human feeling. I am not doubting she was a missionary, but when our colonial master saw the influence of Slessor they capitalized on that to enslave us, it is the same British that told our forefathers that they are cursed and they should pray to free themselves from the curse, it is the same British that gave us bible written by one of them, remember King James Bible? They just tricked us, even till today that trick is working. Why should we still be praying for insecurity to reduce? What are the security agencies doing? Every year those stupid clergy men will keep telling idiots to pray that insecurity reduce, pray that your enemies dies by this or die by that, pray that God bless you with too much money when the person ain't really working. Can you see that that trick is still working till now?
At the fifth bolded, a lot of people are hypocrites, religion now has destroyed the potential of Africa, that person that overly told he won't hurt you because of God can still covertly plan your downfall. Ask yourself, "Why should a pastor bury human alive on the church puppet?" A lot of people just use fake Christianity to cover face, underground they are perpetrating serious crimes.
At the sixth bolded, the only reason is because fake Christianity and or indoctrinating religion is what a lot of people are following, and so they won't do the right thing because they are indoctrinated already, there doctrine has caged there senses, and so they begin to do stupid and vile things.
.
Christianity can actually save the world, but religion and fake Christianity is what is prevalent.
.
walkbrazil4k:

You are right bro the pastors today have really destroyed everything and the truth is that I don't listen to any Nigerian pastor grin and this is why I said I believe in the supreme being which could be any Name you want to call him, lol

You are totally right on this one. Believe there is a Supreme Being who created everything, and show him love, also love your neighbors. With this you are serving God, nah God know who dey serve am, no be by sleeping in some random church day and night.

Kali prides as been an OS for hacks thereby coming pre-installed with a lot of useful tools.
Testing Tools for binary:
In this case I tested for Python and C which came pre-installed.
1st Image: C code for test purpose. After code comes the compilation. gcc is really handy here.
2nd Image: Binary file from compiled source file. At this point I knew that the Kali setup was successful, tools were all working.
3rd Image: Binary works as expected.

Next up will be to set up a virtualenv(Python) for symbolic execution of different binaries and playing around with some CTF challenges.

SYSTEM SETUP & CONFIGURATIONS
Kali Linux and ParrotOS are the two most used Linux distribution for CTFs and finding bugs.
Virtual Machine Security :
The process of finding bugs can be tricky and it is always recommended to have a secure firewall, and so I used pfSense. pfSense from NetsGate is a secure firewall that protects a virtualized environment from the wild internet.
1st Image: PFSense image.
2nd Image: PFSense final configuration message.
Operating System for Hacks(Ethical):
After securing my virtualized environment, the next step is getting the OS, I choose Kali Linux(I downloaded the .ova file specific to Virtualbox. Setting up was a breeze, Offensive Security has made a lot of efforts in simplifying the installation process.

I have been in lowest of lows in my life, have been mocked by friends at some point, was told point blank that I would not succeed in my business ideas which were odd and unachievable. In fact my own mother told me to look for job like my mates and leave the nonsense business idea I was working on. My father was the only one giving me hope and courage. He even told me not to bother buying bread whenever I came back to see them and he would rather give me some money for transport back to the city. Why am I telling this stupid story? The answer is because all through those travails, it never occurred to me to commit suicide. If ever you've had an idea to take your own life, run to the hospital asap because you are definitely insane and I don't mean it in an insulting way.
Your words are harsh please. Calm down sir
EDITED
Harsh in the sense that you need to learn how to air your opinion without been offensive. At the second bolded, please correct it, it is an insult to those battling depression. Use calming words instead of insult.
.
I think this depression issue is a serious shit.
Most people don't talk about it because of the stigma attached. There should be inclusion and support, I have also been and sometimes still depressed, but what help me is communication, not every body have the luxury of finding someone to pour there hearts to. Most people think that when you are poor, then you can be depressed, but what most don't realize is that even when you are relatively okayish, depression can still knock you. A lot of situations can cause depression.
But sincerely speaking, communication, support and inclusion are the three biggest things that can help suppress this shit.

backbencher you are a funny person, for my life I never hear say person go talk say not paying high tax is the cause of problem in Nigeria.
Ah oboi be calming down now.
.
Let me tell you this truth, the Nigerian citizens are very apathetic to her government. Do you expect most Nigerians to pay tax when they very well know that the government will embezzle the money? The answer is NO.
.

backbencher:

Run for office

P.S There are 8 million okada riders out of 211 million Nigerians.

And most Nigerians don't pay tax

And Libya prduced more oil than Nigeria for a population of 6 million people. Libya had 5 million barrels per day for 6 million people, Nigeria 2 million barrels per day for 211 million people...and you think it is enough.

Lol....I can't continue, I'm out

Nigerians...blaming others, but they won't look at themselves. Victimhood is a powerful thing.

Comrade abeg take some zzz, you need it, chai LWKMD.
Tax? Tax

backbencher:

Corruption is a problem, bad governance is a problem, I don't deny that.

But thinking we can do much on 1) one source of revenue 2) that isn;t enough for us....is magical thinking, not economics.

Nigeria produces 1.3 million barrels of crude per day...for 211 million people. That's about what Qatar produces per day...for 1.4 million people.

And from your thinking, and others on this site, Nigeria has to be like Qatar because 'we produce oil'. Frgetting we have more people.?

Note that I don't focus on taxes...there is diversification and eventually industries. But taxes are stable...because selling oil...and cocoa, and palm oil and groundnut comes with one problem..no two...1) we don't control the price 2) we don't control the price 3 ) did i say we don't control the price.

Prices of these commodities are set in Europe and the USA. Not by us the producer...then everyone produces the same thing which drives down the price. If we were the only producer of oil in the whole world...we could have set prices as high as $100 per barrel and earned a decent income for everyone. But we are part of OPEC, which in turn produces one third of the world's oil production, and whose share of oil is shrinking because everyone and his mama is discovering oil...and that has an effect on the price.

Infact in 1982-2005 and since 2014, we have been on low oil prices, and even when prices were high, they weren't high enough...and no it wasn't because corruption.

Nigeria needs more sources of income. That's my message. And if you don't get it, sorry. We need a budget in the hundreds of trillions of naira, not the 30 trillion naira that we are struggling with. That is why we need more sources of income than just oyel.
At the first bolded, now you are talking. Don't forget that that nonsense we call constitution is also a problem of Nigeria, in short something is fundamentally wrong with Nigeria, the foundation Nigeria is built on get as e be.
Okay at the third bolded, if Nigeria had more source of income then the country will be better, hmm, but do you still know that if Nigeria had more source of income, with the current dispensation, our politician go thief am.
At the fourth bolded, I just aswear, okay now did you know that if Nigeria Government used just 30% of her current budget to fix electricity, just electricity o, the country would make some progress?
See boss man, it is not how far but how well, we cant maintain our current budget effectively, how then do you expect us to maintain a budget in the hundreds of trillion?

OP regarding your initial question on why Africa has bad leaders, the truth is the matter deep. Even me can't really understand, but maybe because majority of African masses can't stand up against her leaders, that is one possibility.

backbencher I have 2 questions for you.
1. The taxes Nigerians have been paying since, what have the government done with it?
2. Is low tax payment really the issue of Nigeria's current situation?

backbencher:

1.We aren't earning enough, be it taxes and oil revenue. The corruption makes matters worse

2..Our reliance on oil alone is the source of all our problems and finding a solution means widening the tax base, diversifying away from oil, paying the power and petroleum sector at the price they set, not the price government sets for them, and becoming an industrial nation long term.

Simple

What you wrote up there is some raw unrelated stuff.
Now the taxes Nigeria Government have been collecting since day 1, what have they done with it?
More to that what is the blue print to industrializing a nation?
.
If you can't answer my question I will tell you will due respect not to argue with me.
Matters like this is deep.
walkbrazil4k:

I think you are related to that tax man in Nigeria fowler grin, you keep on talking about tax, dude the tax the market women and okada rider's pay daily where is it? OK let me add bus drivers, where is the money?

That taxes can be used to fix roads and in turn create jobs for the people, you see am

So the answer is simple the tax the okada riders and the market women and the drivers are paying are not working because they should have good roads and infact the government should give them some benefits from that money that they pay like accident insurance or something, remember they pay this tax daily
No mind that baba, he is forming woke but all what he typed up there is inconsistent. Too vague and baseless.

Vulnerability Analysis and or Capturing The Flag.
How is this done?
There are 3 ways which theoretically proves to be the easy way(methods) to analyse binaries for bugs/vulnerabilities. These are : Fuzzing, Symbolic Execution and Dynamic Symbolic Execution .

*************************************
FUZZING:
Read more : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuzzing

Fuzzing technique was originally developed by Barton Miller(https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=dywFuRMAAAAJ&hl=en)

Basic Concept of Fuzzing : These technique aims to generate inputs that explores all possible path in a binary in hopes of finding one path that will cause the program to crash.

Crash Why Practically binary crashes is the first step to finding bugs/vulnerabilities.

**************************************
SYMBOLIC EXECUTION :
Read more: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbolic_execution

Symbolic execution technique aims to analyse a binary without executing it, using symbols instead of inputs/data.
A theorem prover is needed to when dealing with solving paths in symbolic execution. A popular theorem prover is Z3(https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z3_Theorem_Prover)
There are certain limitations with symbolic execution technique, and this birthed the rise of Dynamic Symbolic Execution.
One of the most popular Symbolic Execution tool which luckily is also open sourced is angr.

***************************************
DYNAMIC SYMBOLIC EXECUTION
DSE technique is just like, "using one stone to kill 2 birds".
DSE technique bridges fuzzing and symbolic execution. Theoretically, DSE is the fastest and most efficient technique to spotting bug(s) or analysing a binary.

MoneyMusthear you see LAW ehn in this Nigeria is very very based on connection. Like those top lawyers have parents who are lawyers or judges etc. so as someone like you who might not have the aforementioned privilege, I would sincerely say you should learn a skill. I have come to believe that when you learn something you are passionate about and that you can commit to, I swear success is by the corner.
In summary learn a skill, but if you have solid connection with top lawyers who can pave way for you, then go study law.

Politics / Re: The Difference Between The Corruption Of The White Man And The Black Man(photos) by olioxx(m): 7:08pm On Jan 14, 2022
ednut1:
Contract worth 1m white man will add 5% for bribes and chopping and still do the job.
Black man will chop 60% as bribes and settlement. Either do a poor job or abandon it.
This is so so true. Apart from the above mentioned, white man will steal close to 20% of profit, while black man will steal close to 80% of profit.
The most annoying thing is once a black man steals and/or embezzles he will stupidly begin to flaunt his illegal wealth, but the white will keep a low key profile.

MrBrownJay1:
Africans are still slaves today, and the white puppetmasters are easily controlling African leaders (and others).... they've never stopped. its their way and willl pay militia to destabilize your country and overthrow you so that they can rig electons to put one of their puppet in power and control your country and its natural ressources. they've been stealing/raping Africa for centuries, they aint about to let go of their golden goose now.

sadly, i blame both pupptmaster and puppets in this issue. they go hand in hand.
Exactly same thing French did and is still doing to Mali. Look at Libya to, that president there is a puppet to USofA and here NATO allies.

DubaiLandLord:
I believe things go change for good in Nigeria.

Nigeria stop developing during the military days in power. A lot of things Government suppose don do in the 80's and 90's nah im Government just dey do now.

PDP Government was also a waste.

They couldn't start and finish the construction of any major road all over Nigeria

If you know a single federal road the PDP was able to start and complete, you can list it out oga.

Imagine Ikorodu to Shagamu expressway, OBJ Government promised to construct the road, he paid for the construction of the road but nothing was done on the road.

Only God knows how much he paid for the road construction.

GEJ too reach, he talk say he go construct the road, he awarded the road to a company to work on, he paid but nothing was done.

I was shock the day I saw in the news during GEJ tenure, and some GEJ supporter was saying the road have been completed shocked shocked

Road wey nothing was done on it.

But as we dey talk now, Arab Contractor dey construct the road.

Imagine the PDP don do the road for 16 years dem use dey in power, GMB 4 focus on other roads or infrastructure.

What of the Lagos-ibadan expressway? GEJ drove a tractor on the road say construction wan start, nah GMB Government dey construct the road as we dey talk.

The 16 years of PDP was a waste.

But the APC don dey put us on the right track, even if the movement slow, we dey move.

You well so? Something dey worry you for head.

Truly Brazil is a mix of African culture and cuisine with that of Europe's.
Once again before I forget, I binged watched a lot of your fun videos, and then I noticed that Brazilians tend to say the phrase "tu tu bieng"(I hope I spelt it correct) it's kind of sweet when they say it, what does that word/phrase mean in English?

Politics / Re: Our Servers Not Hacked — NIMC Responds To Hacker's Claims by olioxx(m): 2:40pm On Jan 11, 2022
Enceladus can you see what I have been saying?
The moniker above me has said it all.

musicwriter:
This is denial. What Pantami should have done is accept responsibility and even explain it was a bounty project. But get ready to be really hacked now that you've made Nigerian NIMC database popular. You can be rest assured Nigerian database would be for sale all over the internet in a couple of months or even weeks.
The bounty hunter already has ALL the database anywhere. It's just a question of him/her selling it.
With this statement of yours I can authoritatively say that your IQ level nor reach 0℅ it is way below 0℅. You don't understand something and you are speaking as if you know.
Ogbeni go sidon one place, topics like this no be your mate.
Politics / Re: Hacker Breaks Into NIMC Server, Steals Over 3 Million National Identity Numbers by olioxx(m): 9:39pm On Jan 10, 2022
Enceladus:

Conclude what? Who said they hacked s3? Where did you read that?

1. My point is why was data that deals with National security stored outside Nigeria and even outside Africa?
2. Why is the data stored on s3 and not in a more secure vault? Do you imagine the US SSA storing Social security numbers on s3 ? cc Golan007
First of all, you are totally wrong with your assertions. I am yet to find something clicking in all your post, although all what you said about cloud security, data integrity are all true , but very unrelated to the issue on ground.
I ask again, did you read his report?
Then I hope you understand that the Pentagon has a deal with Amazon(ML/AI related), that is to counter your number 2 statement, and yes Amazon handles all the data but then Pentagon has officials in sync with those at Amazon's end.

Okay let me try to explain this scenario to the best of my ability.
Ask yourself this question, will a illegitimate guy have a publicy available Twitter handle, and then write on allegedly stealing tools for the sole purpose of selling this tools?

That personal is a bug Hunter, he found a bug particular to Tecno devices (he exploited the bug, and then found information), note that the NIMC has an app(ID app). The personal went further to report what he found, it is just like say, okay I found the Milan.exe file on the dark web, I analyzed it then wrote an article about it, then you now start blaming MTN or Airtel about how stupid they are to use gadget from China, that is wrong in all fronts.
Let me say this that NSA knew of a zero day on Windows platform, with this info NSA can hack virtually any Windows computer, NSA didn't report it until it came into limelight some years back, now imagine a stupid NSA guy did some shady things like hack into a government agency server utilizing the zero day exploit, while you now call that government stupid?
.
See guy there is a lot to this shit. I am open to constructive criticism. I am not afraid to learn from others.

Enceladus:

grin grin

You have your preconceived opinions already and it is obvious by this your statement

So because they have deals, that means the serialized models of DoD's CHESS AI system and all others will be stored on s3? Bros be objective or else adios.

Just to be clear, nobody is saying that this is not a bounty issue. But a security concern is still a concern. Some bad actors possibly broke in already
First of all, I didn't mention that the models are stored in s3.
Then secondly my question to you, do you know where these models are stored, like do you have first hand info?

Logically speaking, all the models and data from that Pentagon deal, Amazon will have a copy, why do I say so, when it comes time to troubleshoot and or analyse, these will be done by Amazon engineer since they are offering the service. And I said that Pentagon officials and Amazon engineer are working in sync.
Edited: in the event that bad actors has laid siege of these precious data, by now some security researcher will start mass reportage, we saw the case of the log4j of Java, within 32hours Microsoft had updated MineCraft and written a detailed report. Then Nigeria will inform Interpol, Interpol will work with other international security agencies, and the might eventually take down there server, we saw the case of the Netwalker ransomware, the domain has been taken down. So if it gets to the worst case scenario, I am certain that legal actions will be taken. I hope you know that Windows 11 has some top notch security, if not Microsoft go hear am. 2021 was a bad year for Microsoft, they just had to update, if not, wetin them for see ehn!!! Abeg I wan sleep.
Then finally it is 10:11pm (WAT) I need to catch some zzzz, I don't know what country you are in, but have a good night rest.
Let's not over argue this thing.

Kissiemu:

Slawormiir is correct. The news has been debunked as fake news already. Go front page and see the news.
Sir leave those that choose to believe otherwise, the narrative from SaharaReporter is wrong, they didn't tell us the whole truth. It is quite sad a lot of people chose to blast NIMC as if they can offer a better solution.
I put to everybody bashing NIMC to write a detailed report or executive summary of what can be done better. If you can't do this, then you are in no position to bash or anything, ona think e easy. More to that I am very sure that NIMC will have a in house server, they never mumu reach that extent.

hehehe..

Something wey Pantami don give terrorists they tey..

xxxtedyxxx:
Most Nigerian .gov sites are easy to hack, you need is basic hacking skills.

I am not talking about pro skills, but basic amateur skills. Skills that have been rendered obsolete by top foreign websites will still penetrate the best .gov site in Nigeria.

Naija na cruise na.

SpecialAdviser:
Just say Patmni Colleaugues have collected their requested data.

Those of you bashing NIMC and the Nigerian Government for been weak or what not should please read about the Yahoo data breach. Most of you don't know that US of A that has good cyber security system and policy happens to be the country that suffers the most identity theft.
Even Israeli citizens are not left out as well.
Before we begin to bash, the ngCERT hasn't written an advisory notice or warning alert so let's take this as with a grain of salt, (I am not saying it can't happen oo, but no be say we just read something from one new site, we con dey conclude).

UncleSnr:
Hear from the horse's mouth
I hope you also figure that that personal is a Vulnerability Analyst/Bug Hunter and yes he is an hacker, but he didn't escalate the "juice" in his own words.
I am sure that it has been reported.

UncleSnr:

How does this thing you wrote relate to what I am responding to?
In addition to your previous quote I wanted other to understand the truth, that personal Sam is a bug bunter that found an a bug and exploited it and then followed due process in reporting.

Enceladus and Golan007 the speed you guys concluded somethings ehn!!! I hope you Sirs have read his statement, nobody hacked s3, the entire shit is potentially an exploit from Tecno devices and once again it has been reported, if you doubt me check bug bounty website.
Peace.

musicwriter:
Are you people responding to that article or something else? Because what I read there is an ethical hacker working on a bounty placed by the Nigerian government. He even said he was paid about $5,000 for the job. Unless it wasn't the government paying him?

Having said that, no national database is safe anywhere in the world. But you can always expect worst case scenario in Nigeria.

Thank you for this, a lot of people even the self acclaimed educated ones can be easily deceived with fake news. I don talk am tire, but some people just don't want to read and understand. I have seen his report on a bug bounty website, that is why I am writing to let the Nigerian public know that there was no illegal hack done, every thing was legal.
